The java.awt.Window(owner) requires owner but I want it to be top level without any other owner, how to do it

You have to open up a frame, what use would be a top level window in a GUI that can't me minimized, moved or closed? Why do you want it to stand alone?

    I'm using VS2003 with Crystal Reports for VS2003.
    I need to show a popup window clicking a hyperlink text object on my crystal report.
    On the CrystalReportViewer I have set up HyperlinkTarget=_blank, and it's working fine.
    But when I click on the hyperlink and shows the popup window, how can I show the popup window without menubar, toolbar, directories, etc.
    Something like:
    window.open('../MyPage.html?id=id001" + Cad + "',null,'menubar=no,scrollbars=yes,toolbar=no,location=no,directories=no,resizable=yes,status=yes')

    Adam is correct. The closest you can get is setting the CrystalReportViewers HyperlinkTarget to _blank. It was seen as a potential security vulnerability to allow you to run scripts from a Crystal Reports. In our Enterprise product you can use a reg key called EncodeHTMLForSingleLineFieldObjects to control whether this can be turned on or off.
    Unfortunately this was never ported over to our .NET CrystalReportViewer.
    This is referenced in notes 1202803, 1219298, and 1219301.

    Heay.....this worked for me.
    I am able to change the mode programatically from edit to show.
    HttpPortletRendererUtil.handleEditAction(portletRenderRequest,"OK");
    I removed Apply , OK and Cancel buttons and applied my own Submit and Back button in Personalize mode and then change the mode to show on click of Back button using the above mentioned statement.

    • rotoscoping: you mask the the object by hand from the unwanted parts.
    ...and 'fly' is just key-framing the scenery so it looks like the object is hovering over all .........

    I don't think that you can do this. There is another way, however: When java throws an exception, if it is not caught in your program, it is sent to the standard error, which is the console. You can simply reset this to be a file, so you can read this to get all the error info. Try using the following code in your main method:

My problem is that the modal dialog box cann't be top window as there is one VC++ window that needs to be always top window.     You will have to delete ALL of your existing backups. Under preferences in itunes(under the edit menu if using Windows), Devices, delet any and all backups that are listed. Connect your 3GS, right click in the device pane & select backup. You should be able to restore that backup to your iphone 4.

    I had the same problem way back. I finally gave up and now use the following applescript. Change the pixel coordinates of the top left and bottom right of the window, that appear in parentheses, to fit size of your screen. Mine is set for my 2x" early Cinema display.

    Make a bookmark put this script into the URL area of the bookmark (right side) and rename it to something like "my window size" and then put it in your bookmark bar folder. Then just click on it in the bookmark bar and window will move and resize to whatever you have entered in the parentheses.
