How to make default value for controlling area for MDG-F 7.0

how do we default certain pre-defined values for few fields? e.g. controlling area or company code for MDG finance?

Account and CC/PC are 2 different entity types. For PC and CC there is dependency. First you have to load Cost centers and then load PC.
For CC - load CC master data first. Then load hierarchy file then group file and finally assignment file.
Follow same process for PC.
GL you can load independently but you have first load group GL then operational GL and then GL at company code level,

Select option is table <Structure> with fields, low, high, sign & option
you need to append the value into the select option, with appropriate value in low or
example:
S_HKONT-low = <value>
S_HKONT-SIGN = 'I'
S_hkont-OPTION = 'EQ'
append s_hkont.
Default value for select-option also can be added directly in select-option statement.

How to make default values for date range?

Dear Colleagues,
My customer is asking for a default value for a date range prompt.
The FromDate should contain the 1st of current month, the ToDate should contain current date.
Does anyone have any idea how I can meet this demand?

Thank you for the answer, we are back to the challenge after summer vacations!
I have created a variable in the universe: SELECT current date as TODAY FROM SYSIBM.SYSDUMMY1. I Called it TODAY.
Then I created a prompt in the query based on Date. In Prompt Properties I tagged for "Set Default Values" and I typed in TODAY.
When I try to run the query I get the error message: The date for the query filter based on 'Date' is invalid (WIS10704).
What is wrong? What do I have to do differently?
My goal is to have a default for Date that gives me today..

I have created a drop down list using Selection-Screen code. I have three values in it. I would like to make one of the option as a default value. How to achieve it?
I am working on module pool program. I have few screens as a part of my program. I have created print button on tool bar of one screen but that print button is appearing on the other screens too. How to avoid it?

How to make default value of property "empty" with label "- Select -"?

Is it possible to make the default value empty/null/blank, when one creates a new property in KM > CM > Global Services > Property Metadata > Properties?
If I leave the default value blank, the dropdown menu turns empty, when the corresponding XML form uses the property. So how do I get around this problem?

execute your Query via SQ01. On Selection-Screen
goto save Variant. Mark your field
as selection variable an press Button election variable.
Take variable from TVARV and use it.
Than save the Variant.
Look at TVARV if the 'Year' is updated to the actualYear!

How to make zero value deliveries not relevant for billing

Hi,
I have a requirement to not print invoices that have zero as their net value. Right now there is a sales order line category that can have amount on it sometimes and sometimes not. When the amount is 0, is there a way make it not due for billing?
In Item Categories Maintenace I set the Billing Relevant to H:
"H: Delivery-related billing - no zero quantities
You can use this category to avoid items with a value of zero being included in the billing document."
Testing it still includes the items with 0 value for this item category in VF04 - billing due list and creates an invoice for it.

we will have the copy control routines in the copy control requirements between delivery and billing, check out the transaction VOFM , for example you can have a new copy control routine no 901 in VOFM. via which SAP creates a new program LV60A901 and you can have your code there. Get in touch with your programmer he/she should be knowing how to create this and how to include this in the main program..

To default fields, you need to do the following steps :
1. Create a Z module e.g. : Z_DEFAULT_FIELDS_DIALOG.
2. Enter suppose you want to default fiels Name, title, country, write code as follows :
DATA : ls_busdefault LIKE busdefault.
ls_busdefault-title = '0002'.
ls_busdefault-mc_name1 = 'TEST'.
ls_busdefault-mc_name2 = 'Default'.
ls_busdefault-country = 'IN'.
    CALL FUNCTION 'BUP_BUPA_FIELDVALUES_SET'
    EXPORTING
      i_busdefault = ls_busdefalut.
3. Now got to transaction BUS7, select event ISDAT, click on Event--> function modules.
4. Register your Z module Z_DEFAULT_FIELDS_DIALOG in this list, Save.
This should solve your problem. Please note : You can only default those fields contained in structure BUSDEFAULT.

I'm trying to deploy some content types and columns into a site with a feature. All it's ok, except that I'm trying to set a default value for boolean columns with no success.
I've tried to set default value at column level:

I'd like to change standard PCA hierarchy for Controlling Area. System doesn't allow me to do this with the following message:

You wish to change the standard hierarchy of a controlling area, however, profit centers have already been assigned to the hierarchy. For this reason, you may not change the standard hierarchy for this controlling area.

How can I change it?

I will clarify the business requirements behind this request.
We are currently implementing PCA for a customer. However, technically, PCA was already switched on several years ago and it was used for some not-really-accounting customer functionalities (Z* reports) .
So, currently the PCA hierarchy is total mess. No logical heirarchy, a lot of weird profit centers... Not posibly to use this for segment reporting at all. And I would like to sort this out for this project.
Is it possible to reorganize current standard hierarchy? Remove profit centers and profit center groups out of there? Forbid postings?
