How to make newly added columns appear In IR report
Hi.
I am using APEX 4.0.1. I've created an IR report and then, subsequently, needed to add several column sto the underlying SQL query.
When I save the changes, APEX tells me that it will add the new columns and that I need to run the IR report and either click "Reset" or use the Actions menu to make the new columns appear in the report. I did the latter and the new columns do appear just fine.
However, when I then tried to modify the column labels, I am unable to see these in the report "Attributes" section. And so, I can't access their labels.
How do I get the new columns to appear in the Attributes section of the iR report?

I've done exactly what you've described.
I added several new column sto the SQL query underlying the IR. I then re-ran the default Primary report, added the new columns via the Actions -> Select menus, and then saved the report.
When I then go into the IR Attributes page, the new columns are not there. I've closed/re-opened my browser. I don't know what the issue is.
I'm wondering ... would the fact that the underlying query is SELECTing from a view rather than a table make any difference? I wouldn't think it would.

Newly added column not displayed in Interactive report
Hello,
I have a tableA with 3 columns.In the application i am displaying as Form with Report region as Interactive report(Oracle 10g Application Express 3.2).
I added one column to tableA.Now when i am refreshing the report by adding that column in the select query,the new added column is not displayed in the application.
How can i do this so that the added column can be displayed.I dont want to delete the whole thing and redo it again.

The Interactive Report will not show you the newly added columns by default. You have to select those columns from the actions menu and when all the required fields are displayed then save it as the default report.
Then you will be able to see all the columns.

Not exactly a spatial question but the answer is "no" as far as I am aware.
TOAD for Oracle has a nice feature called "Rebuild Table" that provides a GUI interface for redefining and moving columns around. Basically it generates all the required DDL for you - it saves all the constraints, indexes, triggers, etc. Then it creates a new table with your changes, renames the old table with a suffix and replaces all the constraints, indexes, triggers on the new table. Most helpful.
However - see this makes the post spatial in nature :) - for as long as I have been around this feature of TOAD has not been able to handle SDO_GEOMETRY columns - failing with "ORA-22917: use VARRAY to define the storage clause". The good news is the new TOAD 10 now is free of this bug.
This is not meant to be a commercial for TOAD, I just don't know of any other product with this feature. Others may know of similar things perhaps or you can write a function yourself in PL/SQL.

Urgent : newly added columns copying each other
I am adding columns to jtable. And then moving it to required postion.
But whenever I edit those columns all the newly added columns and the first column reflects those changes. ie whatever I enter in the new columns, it appears in all newly added columns and the first column as well. I am using new instance of column each time so whats wrong I am doing here.

What's you EditableHeaderTableColumn class do? Do you
allow the user to modify the column header value?

How to make every break column on the top of the rows in the same subgroup

I was wondering if anyone could help me on this problem: I need to set up a break column on a classic report (I ma required to use classic report only), and it works, but I do not know how to make every break column on the top of the rows in the same subgroup. The break column only stays on the left to the rest columns as it is the first column. Anyone could help me on this problem? Here is the query:

How to make only one column non reorderble
I want to make only one column (Column 0) of my JTable non reorderble.
I also want to make the same column non resizable and I want to give it a specific size.
Please help me on this?I have implemented a RowHeaderTable class which displays 1, 2, 3, ... in the first column. The column is in the scrollpane's RowHeaderView, so it is not resizable nor reorderable. But its width can be set in your code. Maybe this is what you need.
Use the class the same way you use a JTable, except 3 added methods:
getScrollPane();
setMinRows(int r);
setRowHeaderWidth(int w);
Note: The table works perfectly in skinless L&F, such as the default java L&F. It looks ugly in Liquid L&F because I don't know how to steal column header's UI to use on a JList. If someone can help me on this one, I thank you in advance.

I have hundreds of bookmarks.The Bookmarks Toolbar is filled.I made a shortcut of the "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder and placed it in on the Bookmarks Toolbar.Whenever I click the star to add a bookmark, it adds one to the real Unsorted Bookmarks, which add a copy of that bookmarks into the folder named Unsorted Bookmarks which is on the Bookmarks Toolbar.
When I click on the Unsorted Bookmarks(both original and shortcut folder), it displays the oldest bookmarks on top, which honestly makes no sense to me because the user has to scroll a lot to get to the newest bookmarks, which are more likely to be used than the old ones that have been sitting there for a long time.Is there any way to sort the bookmarks by a reversed chronological order and display newly added ones on top of the list ?
I am aware that you can do this in Bookmarks Manager window(called Library?) but it requires too many steps and it's time consuming and not easy to use in general.I'd rather click on the folder on Bookmarks Toolbar to open my bookmarks, but they show old ones on top.

hashtag - firstworldproblemHmm, you might need to create a "smart folder" for this. You may have noticed some blue folders in your bookmarks such as "Most Visited" and "Recently Bookmarked". These show the results of a query run against your bookmarks or history (Places database) and you can create your own queries with a little elbow grease.
So one possibility might be to create a custom "Recently Bookmarked" folder that extends beyond the current limit of 10. I gave the steps for creating a 20-item version of this folder in this post: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/934205#answer-358492
That example searched ''all'' bookmarks and not specifically Unsorted Bookmarks. To create a new "smart folder" for Unsorted Bookmarks, you could try this:
(1) Select and copy the following places search query:
place:queryType=1&folder=UNFILED_BOOKMARKS&folder=UNFILED_BOOKMARKS&sort=12&excludeQueries=1

(4) In the Name, enter something like Unsorted Desc (for descending order) or the name of your choice. Then click Add.
(5) Drag the new bookmark to the desired location on the Bookmarks Toolbar. If you are using the menu, click and drag and hover over Bookmarks Toolbar until it expands. Once it is on the toolbar, you can easily move it again to the desired location. During the first move, Firefox will recognize it as a query-type bookmark so that is why I have you create it on the menu and move it to the toolbar. -
How to make my iPhoto Library appear in Finder under Favorites
I have recently istalled the 10.8 on my iMac. The hard drive has been formated new. At that occasion the old iPhoto Library has been copied (and updated later on). It´s location is in Pictures folder. My question is : can I have it separately as an icon - the way it was before - in Favorites.
This is how it looks now when I open the Finder.

The iPhoto appears as "a document" and not as an icon.. there is no way I can attach a photo from the Library to an email.. or anywhere else.
How to make this work right?

When sending from a browser based mail use the media browser (in the attach window in the lower left hand corner under media ==> photos ==> iPhoto)
