HOW TO MAKE PAGE NAVIGATION

HI ALL,
In Web-site I have one search for items(say any thing from pins to PC).Some time the search results go for 1000 records .So my question how to provide the page navigation (10-15 results/page) with pages based on results

can i make this type of arrsngement in Beans or JSP......
plz explain with sample code ......

I have never tried that but if I were you my logic would have been:
if session lastReadRec is empty
get the resultset object and find its size.
end if
display a certain amount of records (from lastReadRec + 1 to lastReadRec + MAX_REC_TO_DISPLAY)
increment a session value name lastReadRec by MAX_REC_TO_DISPLAY value
set the session lastReadRec to empty if resultset is empty or got to eof
for the next button, I will either disable it or specify when to show it using an if statement. eg: if lastReadRec is empty next button is disabled or if lastReadRec is not empty display the button

Adobe decided to discontinue development of Spry in August last year, and Dreamweaver CC made the switch to using jQuery UI widgets and effects. How to make pages page horizontally in acrobat

Hi there.
Is there a way in Acrobat to make pages page horizontally? Similar to an ‘island spread’ in indesign! I need to view a series of pages horizontally, as this will best simulate the way that I will be presenting these pages when pinned up...

Depends on how you set up your ID file. If you have set up your document as 11 x 8.5 (horizontal/landscape) the resulting pdf exported sould be the same. If you have an 8.5 x 11 Document, Portrait, the exported pdf should be likewise portait.
If you printed to PDF Printer (and you should have exported instead) these results could be overridden by the page orientation.
If you have an Acrobat file, whose pages need to be rotated permanately, not just for a particular view instance, rotate them from the Acrobat Navigation Pages Panel.

How to achieve Page Navigation in af:table component

I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.
I have a requirement for which i dont know how to proceed. Please guide me on the below requirement.
I have an af:table component which displays a list of all the employees from the database. The total number of records in my database is 300(employee table).
So my af:table component while displaying the Employee view object displays all the 300 employees when i scroll down the list.
But i dont want the user to scroll down to see all the employees. In the af:table footer i want the page navigation option to be shown which will allow the user to see 10 records per page. When the user clicks on the next button , the af:table should display the next 10 records of the view object.
Kindly help me or guide me to some reference material on how can i achieve this.

There is no out-of-the-box table pagination in ADF 11g, the scroll-table is the way to go. New content is fetched only as needed when the user scrolls down the list. You can use the table's column filters or a separate search query component to make it easier to find employees on the list.

How to make a navigation for a scroll-down website?

Hello, I created a one-page website, where you need to scroll down to see the different types of content.
But how do I add a navigation on it?
As example, the "About" part is somewhere in the middle of the page, how can I make a navigation which will scroll down automaticly to the "About" part when I click on it?

Welcome to Apple Discussions
Highlight a known Word document in the Finder, highlight it & choose Get Info from the File menu. In the Get Info box, click the triangle next to "Open With." Click on this drop-down menu & choose Pages. If Pages is not a choice, choose "Other" & navigate to the Pages application. Now click the "Change" button under the text that asks if you want to open all documents like this with Pages. Repeat with Excel documents & Numbers.
Be aware that the icons for these documents will be plain white icons.

Hit F1 (help) and search for Named Anchors.
The example page is one, very tall page with several named anchors on it. When you click a button it takes you to the designated anchor on the page.

Welcome to Apple discussions.
You can set any file type to open in Pages, and it’s surprisingly easy: just go to the Finder, single-click on any a file, then type command-I (Get Info). Click on the Open With... menu and select Pages (or navigate to Pages if it’s not in the menu). To make all files of that type open in Pages, click on the Change All button. You can do that with .doc, RTF, .txt, and other types of files.

How to make page wider

Does anybody know how to also change the picture in the header when you change the page width?
I can manage to widen the page and the background picture on the page. But I can not figure out how to make the picture in the header as wide as the page.

The themes that I've found to be the most user modifiable are Black, White, Formal, Modern and Modern Frame. They don't use image files that limit the size of the page. I will select the one of those 4 based on the color of the navbar text so it is most visible with the design of the site.

How to make a navigation bar overlap a banner image

Whilst trying to code a website for a class project, I came across an issue. I would like to have my nagigation bar overlap my banner image, like you can see on this webpage http://blindbarber.com/ and I was wondering how I would go about doing that. I'm not even sure where to start with doing it, as every time i attempt to make it work, all it does is push the rest of the webpage down.

Without getting into all the effects used on the site you linked above, simply create your menu container and apply an overall background image behind your menu with CSS

If on the other hand, you want images within your menu itself, this tutorial is particularly helpful in showing exacly where to apply the images.

And yes, seeing your code is invaluable, and by far the best way to do this is to upload your work on a server,
We usually need to see ALL your files to solve your issue quickly and accurately without a lot of guessing and questions back-and-forth.
Just rename a copy of your problem page (such as "test.html") and upload it to your server (with any associated files) in whatever folder the original page was located, and simply post a link in the Forum and tell us your problem.
This saves you having to cut and paste miles of code into the Forum for the page and all the dependent CSS, JS etc. files.and saves us from having to recreate all your files, find your images and then repair your code and test the solution for you.

How to make backwards navigation through slide shows possible?

Hi, I just made my first Encore DVD slide show and spent hours trying to figure out how to do this without a luck. The DVD is one Main Menu with buttons to different slide shows that are all set to manual advance. The end action of each slide show takes to the first image in the next slide show and that was easy and very obvious to achieve in Encore but I didn't find any way to achieve the same for backwards navigation. Does anybody know how to do that.

In case my message wasn't clear, I will try to describe better what I want to achieve.
Currently the viewer starts from a Main menu with 16 buttons linked to 16 slide shows. Starting from the first or any slide show and pressing the next button after an image is displayed, the viewer can see linearly all images in all slide show from that point to the end without ever going to the main menu.
However if the viewer at any point start pressing the previous button on the remote control, he/she can only go to the start of the current slide show and the only way to get to a previous slide show is to use the Main menu button and then jump from there.
Is it possible to make a DVD thata will allow the view to go backwards through different slide shows by pressing the previous button??

How to make pages fit to any screen size

Is there a way to make the pages stretch or condense so that it fits any size screen? I've found where I can adjust the px size of the individual pages but I get white borders at the left/right and bottom edges of the screen that vary depending on the monitor size that I am viewing the page on. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. By screen size do you mean browser window size? If so you can get rid of the white around the body of the page by using a solid color or tiled image for the browser background which is set in the Inspector/Page/Layout pane.
Or, if you want the page background to be the same as the browser background do the following;
1 - set the browser background to what you have the page set to.
2 - set the page content background to transparent.
Now the page background will fill the browser's window no matter what size it is. That's how I have my tutorial site setup: http://toadstutorials.info.
