How to mark a table as transport relevant
Hi Guru's,
I just have seen that our CO-PA characteristic derivation table is open for maintenance in Productive system. But this is customizing and should be transport relevant.
Can you please explain how to mark this as transport relevant and how to close this maintenance in productive system?
Thanks
I know about the documentation i mean about the method
itself.
is putting @deprecated at the documentation will
generate a warrning message if u did not use
-deprecation as a parameter while compilingThat is how to do it! You will only get a warning if you make use of a deprecated method. Why would you want to deprecate a method, and then carry on using it in your own code? You need to change the usages to whatever you have implemented to replace the missing required functionality.

How to mark the physical tables as cacheable
Hi All,
Can someone please tell me how to mark the physical tables as cacheable.
Thnaks a lotHi,
by default they are cacheable...
You can see it on repository, physical layer, right clik on table, properties, on general tab, check cacheable...
You can specify peristence time...
See this article, you will find an image with table properties:

how can i import tables from a different schema into the existing relational model... to add these tables in the existing relational/logical model? plss help
note; I already have the relational/logical model ready from one schema... and I need to add few more tables to this relational/logical model
can I import the same way as I did previously??
but even if I do the same how can I add it in the model?? as the logical model has already been engineered..
please help ...
thanksHi,
Before you start, you should probably take a backup copy of your design (the .dmd file and associated folder), in case the update does not work out as you had hoped.
You need to use Import > Data Dictionary again, to start the Data Dictionary Import Wizard.
In step 1 use a suitable database connection that can access the relevant table definitions.
In step 2 select the schema (or schemas) to import. The "Import to" field in the lower left part of the main panel allows you to select which existing Relational Model to import into (or to specify that a new Relational Model is to be created).
In step 3 select the tables to import. (Note that if there are an Foreign Key constraints between the new tables and any tables you had previously imported, you should also include the previous tables, otherwise the Foreign Key constraints will not be imported.)
After the import itself has completed, the "Compare Models" dialog is displayed. This shows the differences between the model being imported and the previous state of the model, and allows you to select which changes are to be applied.
Just selecting the Merge button should apply all the additions and changes in the new import.
Having updated your Relational Model, you can then update your Logical Model. To do this you repeat the "Engineer to Logical Model". This displays the "Engineer to Logical Model" dialog, which shows the changes which will be applied to the Logical Model, and allows you to select which changes are to be applied.
Just selecting the Engineer button should apply all the additions and changes.
I hope this helps you achieve what you want.

How to create a Table of content in pages?
I am using iPad pages, and figuring out how to create a table of content.
I would say: Try and Error. Create a copy of your document and unmark in the copied document in the document inspector all boxes for the TOC. Then mark them again. Maybe you should also delete the paragraph styles and mark them again. If that doesn't work, try to copy the complete text of your document to a new created one. Maybe that works.
Good luck!
P.S.: If that doesn't work look here. Maybe this helps. -

It shows, **
1. how to declare hashed tables **
2. a cache-like technique to improve access to master data **
3. how to collect data using hashed tables **
4. how to avoid deletions of unwanted data **
Results: the test we run read about 31000 rows from mkpf, 150000 **

Dear All,
My database is 11gR1 and Linux is the platform.
I have more then 50 very important tables and around 15 database users.
I want to implement fine grained auditing on these important tables.
This is how I am going to implement it:
SQL>BEGIN
DBMS_FGA.add_policy(
object_schema => 'Scott',
object_name => 'SAL',
policy_name => 'SALARY_CHK_AUDIT',
audit_condition => NULL,
handler_schema => 'imran',
statement_types => 'SELECT,INSERT,UPDATE,DELETE',
audit_column => NULL);
END;
what is i have to pass multiple tables in object_schema and multiple users in handler_schema.
I hope i am able to clear my question, any doubts please let me know.
Regards, ImranHi,
object_schema - The schema of the object to be audited. (If NULL, the current log-on user schema is assumed.)
in case if you like to audit for multiple users - then try to test by holding a null value and test access the important tables -where the relevant auditing records are generated as per your requirement or not. i have not tested.. try it

How to see the Table Names & Field Names by other than F1 help
Hi Experts
How to see the Table Names & Field Names by other than F1 help, & How to see the List of MM Table Names.
RgdsThe only option to see the active table/ field name is through F1 --> Technical Information. Apart from this, you can use any 3rd part application like GUIex (INbuilt in SAP ECC 6.0 ... can be activated by clicking on the tri-color button on the top right), but you need technical knowledge to understand the information. As far consolidated list of MM tables is concerned, SAP don;t provide you the same at one place, it experience and knowledge which help you in this regard. For your immediate reference MM tables are as under :

How to mark a support messge for deletion
Hi Gurus,
Can anyone guide me how to mark a service desk message for deletion?
You help highly appreciated
Thank you
BR
Saravanan RamasamyHello Saravanan,
To delete unwanted support desk messages, you have to delete the basis part of a support desk message please follow note 566225. The CRM part can be archived with transaction SARA and the
archiving object CRM_SERORD. For CRM test messages alternatively the report CRM_ORDER_DELETE can be used.
To keep the system consistent, the ABA notification AND the assigned CRM
message have to be removed from the system.
To delete the ABA notification note 566225 can be used. The deletion of
CRM messages (e.g. with CRM_ORDER_DELETE) is not possible anymore (as of
note 845433).
The CRM message only can be archived. To archive the CRM message with
transaction SARA the archiving object CRM_SERORD is the correct one.
That numbers can be reused the relevant number ranges have to be reset.
This only can be done without causing problems when ALL ABA
notifications and CRM transaction existing in the system have been
deleted/archived.
Hope the above information helps you.

Tables and views relevant to concurrent program parameters
I'd like to know all the tables and views relevant to concurrent program parameters.
As far as I know, fnd_descr_flex_col_usage_vl, fnd_flex_value_sets, and fnd_parameters are such kind of tables or views. They can not provide enough information I want. As I guess that for some parameters, their values are queried from tables. Where can I find the information about how such parameters are queried?
Thanks in advance!Hi,
I'd like to know all the tables and views relevant to concurrent program parameters. See these tables:
FND_CONCURRENT_QUEUE_PARAMS
FND_RUN_REQUESTS
FND_CONC_REQUEST_ARGUMENTS
FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS
FND_CONCURRENT_PROGRAMS
More details about these tables can be found in eTRM website.
eTRM
https://etrm.oracle.com
> They can not provide enough information I want. As I guess that for some parameters, their values are queried from tables. Where can I find the information about how such parameters are queried?
What information you are looking for?
You could get the query executed from the application by following the steps in (Note: 259722.1 - HOWTO Determine Table and Column Name from a field in a form in 11i) -- Query the concurrent program, then check the value of "SYSTEM.LAST_QUERY".

How and when the table will go STALE ?
Hi,
I want to check how and when a table will be marked as STALE.
I have done following steps
---- Created a table --------------------
SQL> create table t1 (id number, name varchar2(100)) ;
Table created.
---- Inserted decent amount of data --------------
SQL> declare v1 number; begin for i in 1..25 loop
2 insert into t1 select object_id, object_name from all_objects ; commit; end loop;
3 end;
4 /
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
SQL> select table_name, status, num_rows, last_analyzed, monitoring from user_tables where table_name='T1';
TABLE_NAME STATUS NUM_ROWS LAST_ANAL MON
T1 VALID YES
---- Gather stats -----------------
SQL> exec dbms_stats.gather_table_stats( user, 'T1', METHOD_OPT => 'FOR ALL COLUMNS SIZE 1');
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
SQL> select table_name, status, num_rows, last_analyzed, monitoring from user_tables where table_name='T1';
TABLE_NAME STATUS NUM_ROWS LAST_ANAL MON
T1 VALID 115544 18-JAN-08 YES
---- Insert more data ---------------------------
SQL> declare v1 number; begin for i in 1..25 loop
2 insert into t1 select object_id, object_name from all_objects ; commit; end loop;
3 end;
4 /
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
Now, after I have analyzed the table and get the stats in, I loaded good amount of data. So, in theory, this table should be marked as STALE.
Where can I check if this table has been marked STALE? when ?
Please guide.
ThanksYou need to read that manual with more caution. It has all info you need.
1. Table modification info stays in shared pool and flushed into dictionary by Oracle automatically. You can explicity do it by calling dbms_stats.flush_database_monitoring_info.
2. dba_tab_modifications view = How many DML are applied to target table?
dba_tab_statistics.stale_stats = Is statistics stale?
3. When you call dbms_stats.gather... familiy, Oracle flushed the stale info to disk. You gnerally don't need to care about that.
4. Statistics is considered to be stale, when the change is over 10% of current rows.
(As of 11g, this value can be customized per objects. Cool feature)
create table t_stat(id int);
insert into t_stat select rownum from all_objects where rownum <= 100;
commit;
exec dbms_stats.gather_table_stats(user, 'T_STAT');
select * from sys.dba_tab_modifications where table_name = 'T_STAT';
No row selected
select stale_stats from sys.dba_tab_statistics where table_name = 'T_STAT';
NO
insert into t_stat select rownum from all_objects where rownum <= 20;
select * from sys.dba_tab_modifications where table_name = 'T_STAT';
No rows selected <-- Oops
select stale_stats from sys.dba_tab_statistics where table_name = 'T_STAT';
NO <-- Oops
exec dbms_stats.flush_database_monitoring_info;
select * from sys.dba_tab_modifications where table_name = 'T_STAT';

Hello,
I have to transport a z table from dev to qa. How can I include the content of the table into my transport request?
Thank you!Hi,
If you have created a table maintenance..
You can use SM30..
Press maintain button..
In the menu..Table view -> transport...Then select the entries include them in the CR.
If the transport menu is not enabled..
Go to SE11..
In the table maintenance generator...Choose the radio button which says "Standard recording routine" and then save..
Now the transport menu option will be enabled..

how to send database table one sever to another server in the form of tms request.

Message was edited by:
maheshHi Mahesh,
Technically it is possible to transport entries of every table in SAP even if changes dont prompt for a transport request. Do the following. Create a customising/workbench request. It depends of the table whose entires you wish to transport. .If you wish you can just use workbench transport for all tables.
After you have created the transport click on the request and in menu bar choose Request/Task and then Display object list. Goto change mode.
Click on Inset line icon in application tool bar. A new line for input will come up.
In PGMID give the value R3TR
In Obj give value TABU
In Object Name give the name of the table.
After that double click on table name entry. You will come to the screen: Transport organizer:Change Key List.
Here again choose insert line. A new line with table name and key as the column headers will come up.
Double click on the empty input field for the key. In the next screen you will get options to fill in the key.
You can insert key as per your choice. However one thing needs to be remembered. If you put * in any field SAP wont allow you fill in value in later fields as only a final asterisk can be used as a generic entry.
Please try out this option. I use this option to transport RFC destinations as well profile parameters across systems.
Please award points if the answer was of help to you.
Regards.

Marking Z table entry for Deletion
Hi All,
Based on some condition in my program,
I am entrying one entry in Custom Z table.
Also for some other condition,
I need to mark the Table entry for deletion only, but it should not Delete.
So pls guide me for:
1) How to make Custom table entry as Mark for Deletion?
2) When I put Select Query on table, how can I write that do not Select those
Records which are marked for Deletion ?
RishiHi Rishi,
Create a new field of type 'CDXFELD' (Data Type) in the Custom Z table. Now populate that new field with 'X' if it is marked for deletion. Then you can select all those entries which that field 'CDXFELD' = Space.
i.e., if the field 'CDXFELD' = 'X' then it is marked for deletion else not.
Select *
from Zcustom talbe
in to IT_TAB
where CDXFELD = space.
Hope this will help..
Regards,
Ravi..
