I had java 1.6 installed on my MAC OSX Lion 10.7.5. When I am trying to run that JavaFX application jar
java -jar application.jar
It always shows a dialog "The application require a newer version of Java Run-time" with download link. Even I have downloaded and successfully installed it on my MAC machine but it still shows me the same window.
It installed jre-7u10-macosx-x64.dmg but java -version is always point to 1.6.
Then I searched for Java Preferences to point the current JRE 1.7 but I could find Java Preferences at Applications -> Utilities -> Java -> Java Preferences.
I found an Java Icon on System Preference. When I am trying to open that widow it's showing me error -- the java control panel opens in a separate window and nothing happens when we click on Re-open the Java Control Panel.

To find a copy of LP7 you would need to look for a copy on eBay.. However, the protection method used with LP7 no longer functions so you cannot register it and therefore you cannot use it. unless you have already registered LP7 yourself in the past using the security key dongle provided
Any version of LP7 from a torrent would be an illegal (and most likely non working) version due to the protection that was used at that time... and so posting about it here, was not be wise.
So.. thats why my previous answer was so brief... Simply put, you cannot use LP7 unless you already have a validated and registered security dongle... even if you found a copy of LP7 somewhere
The only practical solution is to find some kind soul who already has a working version of LP7 installed, that you can send the projects to... for them to do the conversion for you.
I would, but I no longer have LP7 installed here on any of my testbed Macs...

This may be because I have downloaded the JRE 1.7Yep, that's correct, the java_home command only works for jdk's - sorry for the confusion.
For jre7+ versions, only a single Oracle jre version is allowed to be installed on the machine at a time - making a tool like java_home redundant for jre checking.
Weirdly, jre7u10 does not supplant the Apple Java on the command line path by default. If you just type java -v, then the Apple java version will displayed if you have an old Java 6 from Apple and a new Oracle jre7+.
The Oracle jre is always located under (also somewhat strangely):
/Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/javaTo test jar launching, I used the willow JavaFX browser pre-release jar available here:

Then I launched the jar from the command line using:

if i'm using ojdbc14 and java.sql.Timestamp it is functioning in different way and failing to do the action..
Example : update set xxx=yy where time = my Timestamp object set in Prepared statement

We are using classes111.zip for our application .( JDBC thin client being used on Oracle 8i , Application Server is WEBLOGIC )
We require scrollable resultset for one module , so for that we require classes12.zip.

In JDBC 8.1.6 almost all of the features (with the exception of support for java.sql.{Blob,Struct,Ref,Clob,SQLData}) of JDBC 2.0 are available in both, the classes111 and classes12 libraries.
However, if you use classes111.zip you'd need to cast to oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleXxxx entities instead of using java.sql.Xxxx.

How to use other jar with my executable

I'm developing project in JBuilder which uses BC library "bcprov-jdk15-137.jar" This jar I got in reguired libraries section and it work fine in case that I run my application through JBuilder. Now I created executable jar file for my application but it works wrong. I don't know what dependencies shall I setup in JBuilder
Can somebody help how can I run my application from jar file and I will use BC lilbrary without problem ?.

I created new project(Frame application) in JBuilder 2006, Im using mentioned library therefore I put it into reguired libraries in project setting. When I run application through JBuilder (F9) it works fine.
Now I would create executable jar file from my project, which will use this mentioned library. My project has one class CMTModule.class with main function. I created jar file via achrive wizard(AppletJAR). There are options of dependency rules in this wizard, so I choose Includes dependencies. Then I created manifest file and insert this item Main-Class: cmt.CMTModule.
My application start but works wrong , I mean that there is problem with necessary library is not imported. How can I set up it in order to my executable jar can use this library without problems, because in JBuilder all works fine.
What's is wrong ?

I want to create a jar file with only classes.My class files and java files are in different folders under com .
say
com
in com there are two folders
folder 1 -- subfolder 1
folder 2 -- subfolder 2
like this.
If i want to create a jar file from com directory how should i give the jar command.Again my jar should contain only .class files.
Any help will be appreciated

Any other way Or is it possible to do so?Read the link I posted and create the statement to make your structure. I was thinking you were inside the com directory but if you are above it you will need something like this instead:
jar -cf test.jar com\*.class com\subfolder1\*.class com\subfoler2\*.class
But either way don't just copy and past this. Think about what is does so that you can make it work for you.
Also, you might want to look into using Ant if you are going to be building this a lot.

How to include ojdbc.jar with applet in apex

I am integrating applet with apex. I need to use ojdbc.jar to connect to Database. How can i include this jar. I tried uploading it as a static file. But i am not sure how to embed it with applet code in region source of a page. I am using following code to embed the applet.

Thank you all for help, from your posts I was able to get the datepicker working with a different version of jQuery (but not jQueryUI) included on the page. There are two methods:
1. Include the new library before #HEAD# and change the reference to a different variable, for example:

Classes12.zip problem :-((

Hi all, I had a problem when I open a jsp page when I use JDBC connection with classes12.zip. I currently have classes12.zip under c:\Oracle\Ora81\jdbc\lib and I set my environment variable:
1st try to set: CLASSPATH=c:\Oracle\Ora81\jdbc\lib
2nd try to set: CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;c:\Oracle\Ora81\jdbc\lib
3rd try to set: CLASSPATH=$ORACLE_HOME\jdbc\lib
Then I reboot my machine and start my Tomcat Server. None of these setting is working at all. Here is the error that I get when I load my jsp page:

The simplest way to do this is to copy classes12.zip to the WEB-INF/lib directory. The JSP should then find this automatically.
As a side note, that is an ancient JDBC driver - you might want to upgrade to something from this millennium.

How to make a jar file downloadable with IE

and I put a jar file on it called Logo.jar
Using Mozilla, the jar file downloads as expected, but with Internet Explorer, it tries to download it as .zip file.
How do I get it to download as a .jar file with IE?

Just post a link to the Jar. Mozilla will download
it as a jar. Windows will download it as a zip.
Only one link. No problem, really. ;-)There is a problem. People who arent as good with computers as you are won't know how to run the jar file after downloading with IE.
At school, I told someone to download the file, which they did with IE. It downloaded to desktop as a zip. They extracted and were left with a bunch of .class files.

I noticed on the linux client install - it includes a
lclasses11.zip, but this is not the JDBC classes that come with
Windows clients.
1.) What is the lclasses11 or 12.zip files for?
2.) Do I need to copy Windows client classes12.zip, etc to a
linux client? What aren't these included?

How to match BSIM with MSEG (match FI entries to MM entries)

I have to make a custom report calculating opening, closing stock - its value and quantities (with respect to begin and end date) however taking into consideration only certain movement types. I need to neglect those entries from BSIM which have other movement types than the ones specified as a parameter but there is no BWART field in BSIM.
How can I match FI document entries(BSIM / BSEG) to MM document entries(MSEG) ?

Assuming its true ( 1MM doc = 1FI doc ), the question is how to match FI document item with MM document item ?
is it a rule that entries in fi docs are in the same order as entries in mm doc?
therefore a formula (MM_entry * 2) = FI_entry would work but I'm kinda sceptical to assume that
