Do you want to measure the 10% to 90% height of the pulse itself or the 10% to 90% change in the pulse level? The suspect the latter, or we would not be having this conversation. If you want to do the former, use Amplitude and Levels.vi or Pulse Parameters.vi and scale by 0.8 to get the 10% to 90%. If you want to get the latter, you may be in for more work. First, try to use the overshoot output of Timing and Transition Measurements or Transition Measurements.vi. Read the documentation, as there is a fair amount of flexibility you can put to your advantage. If that doesn't give you good results, use Pulse Measurements.vi to find your pulse, then extract that section of your waveform. Trim the ends to get rid of the rising and falling edges (this should be a constant number of points if your pulses are consistent). Analyze the result for 10% to 90% values. The easiest way to do this is probably to use the array max and min primitive to give you the maximum and minimum points, then scale by 0.8. Alternately, and more robustly, you can duplicate the waveform a couple of times, concatenate the results, and use Amplitude and Levels.vi to find the amplitude. As a final alternative, you could fit the resulting curve to an appropriate line/polynomial/exponential and extract the info from the curve coefficients. This will only work if the data is a well defined curve. Be careful with general polynomial fits.

I am trying to call a controller from a flow logic page all in the same application.
I have done this by calling CREATE_CONTROLLER from the flow logic Event .
This is working fine,but the flow logic page appears even when the Contoller gets called & the controller view gets loaded.
I want to Navigate to the Controllers View .I tried this using NAVIGATE->next_page( ).But this is not working

Hi Ajitabh,
I don't think that is right to call a controller using the flow-logic programing-model. You have to use the MVC programing-model. There it is possible an right to work with controller.
In flow-logic you just have to use pages you create in your bsp-application. Then you can navigate with the code:
CASE event_id.
WHEN 'button1'. navigate->goto_page( 'page2.htm' ).
ENDCASE.
The code in your layout should be like this for a button:

The counter chip used on the Lab-PC-1200 is the 8253. Thus, you will be able to use any of the 8253-counter examples available in LabVIEW. To count pulses, I would suggest that you examine the Count Events (8253).vi example. With regards to the required hardware connection, this is discussed in the device's user manual (link available below).

Hi Alex,
A workbook is a set format of queries, so when you try to jump to another query , you will definitely open another session and hence another excel file. This is the same for web templates also though you have an option of opening the new result in the same window.
You would have to use some macros and open the query on the same page. A RRI is a query jump and not a drill down . A drill down would be getting more of the dimensions into the query.

You should be able to findout the output of the signal, is it an analog voltage or is this pulse a digital pulse (ie measuring TTL Width or some number of counts for a frequency changing pulse train)? All this is either done with DAQMX analog in vis or counter vis. You really need a clear picture of what the signal is before you can write code. The code should be simple once you know your signal.

How to measure pulse height by DAQ card

I want to record pulse signals (fast pulse) and measure their amplitude (height) using DAQ card

:-) I heard that problem before. Is it possible that we disscused this subject some time earlier?
Well, but to your problem. How many counts do you get per second in average? I work/worked at a similar problem to analyse the counts from a 2D-detector. I tried the VI mentioned above but it was never able to analyse 1000 counts per second as a order of magnitude.
Which shape has your pulses? Are they NIM or square shaped? How stable is your underground and of which order of magnitude is it? How fast is your DAQ board? Because according to the Nyquist theorem you will need a sampling rate of approx. 1MS/s to resolve them properly!

Averaging Data stream from air flow meter...

I'm fairly new to Labview, so this may seem elementary to some. I am pulling real-time data from an airflow sensor and I want to manipulate the data in the following way:
1) after starting the program, I want to release one of 3 valves to trigger the sequence
2) delay for 10 seconds
3) grab one data point at a given interval (every second?) over period of 10 seconds (20 seconds total time elapsed)
4) average the data and spit out a value
I've been trying for a while to get this working for a while. Any tips would be much appreciated. Once again, I'm new at this, so please bare with me.

Basically the test setup is this...I am testing air pressure through a mechanical venturi. There are 3 venturis in the machine at the same time. The DAQ assistant communicates with the NI USB-6009 only (no data collection). THis is used to activate the solenoids that clamp and pressurize the test pieces. When one of the nozzles (nozzle1, 2, 3) is released, air flow through and the Omega FMA-1611A flow sensor picks up pressure and flow rate. This is what is connected to the serial port.
What I'm trying to do is streamline the process. Right now, I am reading a number off a visible indicator, which is causing user error. I'm trying to make it so that as soon as I release one of the nozzles (boolean nozzle1, 2, 3), a sub-routine will execute that waits 10 seconds (for the air flow to normalize) then takes a reading once every second for 10 seconds. Then I want to display and record the average of these data points. I want to be able to do this without ending the program (the flowmeter should still be reading continuously). I've gotten to the point where the program works perfectly with the just the visible displays. All I need to do is add the secondary sub-routine I explained.
I did try highlight execution per reccomendation and I now see what you are saying about data flow. I tried just taking data points without averaging or time delays and I still seem to be bogging down the program somehow. Do I need to build another case structure outside of the main loop? I think I can get through the delays and the mathematics...my biggest issue is taking a reading at a set interval (i.e. 1 second) and saving the readings so that I can calculate the average and display it. Do I use an array? The "for loop" uses bracketing, but as you stated, only takes one reading.
I'm an ME guy, so while I can build the test setups without issue...obviously programming is another story
I will continue to play around with the programming. I have gotten far enough to make the program work in its basic form, so I think I can do this, but any tips you can provide would be extremely helpful.

Connect phase A of the Quadrature Encoder to the SOURCE of the counter to be used and connect phase B to the corresponding DIO up/down line (DIO 6 if phase A is connected to the source of counter 0, or DIO 7 if phase A is connected to the source of counter 1).
With this method you can connect phase A and B of your first encoder to counter 0 and phase A and B of your second encoder to counter 1.

How to create Analysis from two different subject areas with diff models

Hello,
I have problem with create analysis from two different areas with two different models (Model Star and Snowflakes) build in BI Admin tools.
First Model A = Subject Area A have one fact tables (with measures) and three dimensions tables (Model Star)
Second Model B = Subject Area B have one fact table (no measures) and five dimensions tables (Model Snowflakes).
I'm looking solutions how I can give good results. In this case I can't use UNION, INTERSECT etc., because this models haven't the same number column and data type?
whether it is possible to do in OBIEE?

Hi
One thing to understand is that if your are imagining having two Subject Areas (SAs) displayed and then dragging columns from each into your Request without any preparation, then no, that can't be done. You would need to do a join in the BMM layer and expose the column from the second Subject Area in the presentation layer.
But if you indeed interested in UNION (or intersect) queries, then do this:
Build your first query in the first SA in the usual manner. Note the number of columns and the data types of each column.
Now at the bottom of the Criteria workspace, there is a button called "Combine with similar request." Click it.
Select your second SA. You will note that the outlines of the columns in your first query appear. This is to remind you that the number of columns in this second query must be the same as in the first. It also shows the data type of each column for the same reason.
Once you select your columns and your filters, click on result. (Oh, you will also need to decide what kind of combination you want -- click on the dropdown.) The result will be a new Request that has data from both SAs in the query and combined in the manner you select (union, intersect, etc.)
That should give you a start.

I have a Powershel script with CSOM to extract some information from a list in SP2010, however I can’t get the user name associated to the field ‘AssignedTo’. It seems that in order to extract information from this field you need to use ‘Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.FieldLookupValue’
however I don’t know how to do that with Powershell.

The sentence "New-Object Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFieldUserValue" failed, however, I just added this to get the User Name:
$item["AssignedTo"].lookupvalue
I don't know if it is the best solution but it shows the UserName.

How to remove Button from Flex Mobile app actionbar with AS3?

How exactly would i remove a Button from the actionBar "actionContent" in a flex mobile app?
I tried these:

The actionContent is setup like that, I know like with most mxml stuff I could give it an ID to reference it but im not sure how how to give the action content an id number `<s:actionContent id="testID">` does not work. So how can i access this to remove it? making it invisible isn't cutting it i need to actually remove it.
