How to Merge and Sum across columns??

Hey guys I have an interesting Problem (at least interesting to me:p). I am trying to figure out how to use numbers to collate or group certain column data and then sum the values of the grouped data. below is a snippet from my an error log i've parsed. The final step I need to do is to create a 3 column output where the values are - Error (merged), # Errors (SUM), Error Detail(merged).
I hope this makes sense and any help is greatly appreciated.

Well there is a lot of interesting stuff going one here. The Hidden Col formula works great when the Err Code Col is sorted. When Err Code is random, the Hidden Col repeats counts some Err Codes twice thus giving an incorrect total...

Also for some reason I can't get the Table 2 - Col A formula to recognize Table 1 - Err Code as a reference???

The best answer will depend upon knowing what file format. Audacity app is a popular answer but if you are dealing with a lossy format such as AAC/.m4a or .mp3 you are better off using using editing tools for those (MPEGStreamclip and MP3Trimmer respectively).

Summing across columns

Sorry, this is a very basic question that I haven't found the answer to when searching.
I am setting up a basic table to keep track of business receipts. I would like the total to be automatically filled in as I tab across the row.
I have Amount Tax Shipping Total after I fill in the columns, is it possible for the total to be automatically summed?
ie $10.00 $0.50 $10.50
I've tried a few ways, but have not gotten it to work on each row.

Sure, you can sum across as easily as you can down. In this screenshot I used your figures & selected the three cells across & then dragged the sum shortcut to the last cell. You can then fill down with that formula by dragging the tiny circle.

How to merge and centre cell on Numbers 3.2?

Hello, I need to merge and centre two cells on Numbers 3.2 and haven't found any way to do it yet?

I used to love merging cells to ge things looking just the way I thought they should. SG and others on this forum have convinced me to avoid it. It does not take much tweaking to get the results I used to get with merged cells.
I entered the text in C1. There are no merged cells. The alignment is right justified. To get it centered on B and C I typed option-tab twice after "Cells". It is a little difficult because you can't see option-tab while you are entering it. Once you leave the cell its affects are manifest.

I want to read the column order of the SharePoint list forms in SharePoint 2003 sites using any of the available web services and need to set the same order
in the newly created list in SharePoint 2010.
I am able to read the fields from SharePoint 2003 and creating the list with same fields in SharePoint 2010, but the column order is not maintaining in
list forms.
Also, I need to created the views from 2003 site to 2010 site.

Can anyone describe how to cut and paste table columns in Data Modeler?

A number of times I have tried using the copy and paste columns functionality in Data Modeler, but in all circumstances when I've copied a set of columns from a table (by highlighting the column set and pressing the copy columns button), opened a new table, and pressed the paste columns at the end button, nothing has happened. is there some unintuitive thing that I need to do?

I see I left "Copy" out of the first reply I sent.
1. Create a table or tables, say tables A and B.
2. Expand the table which has the columns you want to copy, say table A, in the browser
3. Shift (or ctrl) select the columns and select COPY from the context menu.
4. Click in the table you want to copy to, say table B, in the diagram and right-click to use the context menu , select paste
or select the table B in the browser and right-click, select paste.
Are you using the copy in the menu?

it seems to be you written this SELECT in a loop. if so,
instead of pushing the values into ckmlcr-pvprs ,create an internal table
data : begin of itab,
     pvprs type ckmlcr-pvprs ,
    end of itab.
then just after that SELECT SINGLE,
select single pvprs from ckmlcr <b>into ITAB-pvprs</b>
where poper EQ s_poper and
kalnr = itab2-kalnr and
bdatj = itab2-bdatj and
curtp = itab2-curtp.
IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
APPEND ITAB.
here either you can use APPEND OR COLLECT.
If you use COLLECT,all the values will get summed up and final sum will be in the table ITAB-pvprs.
ENDIF.
After all loops your itab will have the totals.
DESCRIBE TABLE ITAB LINES V_LINES.
V_LINES Will have total no of lines.

I am trying to create external template for Bill Presentment Architecture which is in .rtf. Template is having 3 section Invoice header, Lines and Tax summary.
Invoice Header and line section is ok, but facing some issues with Tax section.

You should define your requirements properly for volunteers to help here..
Your data is not good enough to provide you accurate solution. Reason being you dont have a proper column which differentiates between first and last entry.
The solution becomes easy based on your desgin.
I have introduced a grouping column called "id" and a time column called "time_of_insert" (only this way you can confidently say that you can differentiate between first and last (also a fool proof solution) --- you may optionally use sequence(instead of date though if you say you may end up inserting two rows at the same time, then probably sequence would be a better choice to differentiate rather than a timestamp field) etc...)
With your sample data something like this can be done to achieve your desired result.

How do I sum across the same table in multiple sheets?

So I'm trying to figure out an annoying problem.
I have a largish (100's) amount of data with each collection being a table in a sheet, one sheet per data collection. This means I have 100's of sheets, each with the same table name and layout. Each sheet has several hundred data points in it.
How do I do a sum across all of the same table in all the sheets?
For example I want to do Sum('Data Sheet Number *'::'Table 1'::A1) to get a sum of everything in all the A1 cells of all the sheets named 'Data Sheet Number ' followed by anything (I'm using the star in the same way one would do it in a shell...)

How to get the sum in appropriate column without a red triangle appearing?

Hello,
In 'Numbers" - How do get columns to add (calculate) the sum in each decending column on an Expense Report.
When I highlight the decending column the total appears on the far left of the screen. When I drag the sum amount from there to the appropriate column a red triangle with an ! appears instead of the amount.

The red triangle is an Error triangle. Clicking it will display the error message and tell you what error has occurred. From your description, my assumption is that you dragged the SUM() function from the quick calculations at the lower left and dropped it intto a cell in the column being summed.
If that's the case, this is likely the error message you would see:
When you highlighted the 'decending column,' you likely selected all of the cells in that column, including the one into which you dropped the function.
Instead, do one of the following. These assume the column you want to sum is column B.
If you want the sum at the top of the column:
Make sure the row you want the sum to appear in is a Header row.
Enter this formula into any Header Row cell in column B: =SUM(B)
If you want the sum at the bottom of the column:
Add a Footer row to the table. (Go Table (menu) > Footer Rows > 1).
Enter this formula into the Footer Row cell in column B: =SUM(B)
SUM (and other functions) that expect a range of cells will interpret a cell reference entered using only the column letter (B) as meaning 'all of the non-header, non-footer cells in column B', and will exclude those cells in header or footer rows.

Ok,
1) the UNLOAD PRIORITY has nothing to do with the order of data loads in your ETL process
2) Unloading of columns will happen automatically. Don't specify anything specific for the tables, then SAP HANA will take care about it
3) Not sure where you get your ideas from, but there is no need to manually "flush" tables or anything like that. SAP HANA will take care of memory housekeeping.
4) Partitioning and how to specify it for tables has been largely documented. Just read up on it.
5) Delta Merge will happen automatically, as long as you don't prevent it (e.g. by trying to outsmart the mergedog rules)
Seriously, I get the impressions that this list of requirements is based on some hear-say and lack of actual information and experience with SAP HANA. There are a couple of extensive discussions on data loading optimization available here in SCN and on SAPHANA.COM. Please read those first.
All this had been discussed broadly a couple of times.
