How to modify VC generated app using webdynpro

hi all
       I am trying to modify VC generated source using webdynpro, basically trying to find out if it is possible or not.
       I complied a sample application using webdynpro compiler in VC and deployed in the portal server, then i downloaded the genrated zip file from portal server, but to find that the structure is not webdynpro compatible.
      i would like to know is this the correct approach?or is there any other way if it is possible to do so.

Modifying Visual Composer using webdynpro is generally not something you can do. You can include webdynpro UI elements and components within a Visual Composer model by using eventing. I give an example here for a BI web application UI element and Visual Composer. This can very easily be extended to webdynpro.

For reading excel file follow the steps :
1. Use a File upload UI element and bind it with xstring.
2. Now your excel will be uploaded and stored in Xstring.
3. Convert Xstring to String data using FM 'HR_KR_XSTRING_TO_STRING'.
4. Now split the string at new line so as to make an internal table .
Ex . SPLIT l_string AT cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline INTO TABLE it_table.
here it_table is type table of string.
5.now loop at the internal table and separate the content of this table separated by tab.
Ex. SPLIT wa_table AT cl_abap_char_utilities=>horizontal_tab INTO TABLE it_new.
it_new type string_table.

How to modify customer generated DataSource?

Hi Experts,
I have a DataSource "1ZICM_DOCSE" which currently extracts some of the fields from source table "ZICM_DOCSE". After some investigation, I discover that some necessary fields from the table are missing in the extraction structure.
Questions:
1. Since the name of the DS starts with 1 (SAP namespace), I supposed that it is a business content DS. However, I could not find it in RSA5 but only in RSA6. Why is it so? Is it a customer generated DS?
2. In RSA2, it shows that the extraction method is "F1 Function Module (Complete Interface)". When I double click on the extractor "ZICM_EXTR_DOCSE", ABAP editor is shown with the header indicating "This file has been generated. Never change it manually!". How do we generate an extractor in source system?
3. In this case, how can I modify the extraction structure to include more fields from the source table?

1. Judging from your input I assume that this DS "1ZICM_DOCSE" is a customer generated DS. Am I right? How is the DS generated? via a standard SAP program?
2. When I go to RSO2 and try to display the DS, I get following message.
DataSource 1ZICM_DOCSE is extracted using functional module ZICM_EXTR_DOCSE
Message no. RJ042
Diagnosis
Data from DataSource 1ZICM_DOCSE has been extracted using function module ZICM_EXTR_DOCSE.
If you edit and save the DataSource by maintaining generic extraction, extraction no longer takes place
using this function module, but is performed by a database view, a transparent table, a functional area
of SAP query, or a self-defined extraction module.
If 1ZICM_DOCSE is included in the deliverd SAP Content, you can activate extraction using function module
ZICM_EXTR_DOCSE again by transferring this Content with transaction RSA5 or the IMG.
I cannot display as well as change the DS in RSO2.
3. Since the FM is generated, why should we change it? The changes will be overwritten once the FM is generated again, right?

How to modify a template and use both old/new in the same library without interference

OK first Thank you for reading this and hopefully being able to help me out. I got dumped this project on my desk to update two different templates already published in
share point(2010) years ago. The original developer left the company 4 years ago. Since then anyone that tried to do anything with them made a big mess. I have done some heavy reading and am stuck on few issues.
Please note the templates were created IP 2007 and I will be using IP 2007 to modify them. The temples have a small amount of C# that does not have to be changed. There is also a digital signature linked to them.
After some heavy reading this week. I figured that I need to edit the template from Share point(2010)/IP(2007) and not copy the templates to a different location laptop/desktop
because that will ruin the digital signature. There is also a large volume of submitted forms from these temples. The new version of the temples will be heavily modified deleting rolls columns changing names. My understanding is that since I want to keep the
old submitted forms the way they are and still use the old template to open them. I would need a second version of the original template with all the visual modification to still use the original template's C# digital signatures and any other file that runs
in the background.
The plan:
1)Turn off the automatic update to forms/template when a new version of the template is created.
2) Copy the existing template (.xsn) file to a new document folder in share point(same network).
3) Change the name of the .XSN file that I copied and modify it??????????? Will keeping the same name interfere with the old template/C# digital signature ect? I would like to change to something like SameName_version_2015 for example. or will changing the
name cut the link to the old C# digital signature? or will it get modify the background files and break the old template/submitted files.
4) Publish the new template in share point.
5) Change the data connection to a new directory that I wish to submit all files.
Please advice am I missing anything? and help me understand my step 3 better. Also I would love to get a better understanding of how i can backup and recover everything. Do I simple copy unmodified .XSN files somewhere and publish them if things goes wrong?
Do I need to backup anything else?
I am open to options if I can create a test folder in the share point for safety.

Just to follow up for what we did to disable the delete function for maintaining table records. We hided the Delete button by adding a "MODULE disable_delete" code in Screen Painter. So now only adding records to the table is allowed.

How can I control which apps use cellular data?

Sometimes I marvel at Apple's amazingness and sometimes I can't believe the holes. Googling around I get the impression that iOS/iPhone provides no means for a user to take control of their data plan and set which apps are permitted to use cellular data and to track cellular data usage on an app by app basis. Am I the only one that finds it unbelievable that an operating system designed for a cell phone that supports adding piles of sometimes sketchy 3rd party apps doesn't have this baked right in? There seem to be a few apps try monitor overall aggregate data usage, but they are useless at getting to the root cause.
So, I hope I'm just missing it. How do I figure out which broken, buggy, misconfigured app I stupidly installed is eating my data plan? Maybe Android is a better choice for guys like me that are too busy to play whack a mole uninstalling and reinstalling apps for hours and days to try to solve such a tedious mystery.

How to store a Excel document using Webdynpro

Hi Folks,
I need a Web application, where user will have an option of uploading an Excel file. Then the application should store this file in application server in Excel format.
Then I need another web application where, I will display a tabular structure with two date column and third column showing as a link to the file. Also this second application will have an option to save the file on desktop. I need a button to pass the data in this file to another program.
Technical issues:
I know how to read data from an excel by using Upload UI element. But how can I store the file on application server in excel format. And then how can I read the Excel file in such way that, I can show a link of this Excel file in a tabular structure displayed on a Webdynpro application.
Please provide your valuable inputs on this technical issue.

How do I download/update apps using my changed Apple ID?

I recently changed my Apple ID on my laptop and I had some difficulties with things on my iPod Touch 5g. Sometimes when I'm doing something my iPod asks fro my password for my old Apple ID. I just want to make it so my new ID will be properly connected on my iPod. So the problems that I'm having are downloading/updating apps on my iPod. I have like 6 apps to update so I try to update them and every time I try to update them it asks for my old Apple ID. How do I make it so I could update my apps without it asking for my password for my old ID?? Help!!!

To make having apps under two IDs as seamless as possible, go to Manage your Apple ID and change the password on the old ID to match the password on the new ID. Then it won't matter which ID is asking for a password, since it will be the same for both:

just read teh two attributes to field1, field2 using code wizard. then
<db name>-<fieldname1> = <field1>.

insert <dbname>.
