How to move a numeric display

Id like to know if there any way to move a numeric indicator/(or similar) around the screen to different x,y co-ordinates whilst the program is running,
labview 6.1, window 2000 and xp

Here's an example written in the older 6.0.2 version for those that can't open alberto's excellent example. I'm assuming it's excellent, I can't open it.

How to move between new display and Macbook

If I follow Apple's instructions to turn on my MacBook, plug in the new LED display, then close the lid on the MacBook it goes to sleep in about 20 seconds....as it should, and then I can use the display. But if I unplug the MacBook and use it in another room, then bring it back and plug it in again, when I close the lid it won't sleep, so the new display never comes on.
I'm guessing the only way to move from using the display in the closed-lid mode to using MacBook on battery is to do a full shut down, then unplug everything, and then restart the MacBook. This seems like a lot of extra effort if all I want to do is take the MacBook out of office and work on the sofa for awhile. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks for any help.

follow carefully I've put a diagram in as well as its messy here.
1. mouse click the word exposure
2. use the + and - keys, and the exposure value will change correspondingly and on my mac, a pop up gets in the way of the photo and says exposure up/down 0.1 etc
3. use the left and right arrow and the exposure changes but the (annoying) pop up does not
4. use the , and . keys to move the focus to contrast
5. use the + and - keys, and the contrast value will change correspondingly and on my mac, the pop up appears and says contrast up/down 0.1 etc
HOWEVER
6. use the left and right arrows and the exposure (rather than the contrast) changes accordingly.

Is this a bug, that the , and . moves focus if you use the + & = - keys, but does not move the focus for the left and right arrow controls

How can I edit text labels in a numeric display?

I have this numeric display, type U16, that displays specific messages, for example 'PASS' when the input is 1. I need to add another message.
I added a placeholder, for input = 3 (verified by the digital display) for the new message by rightclicking/'Add After' but I'm not able to add the new message. I can't edit the text (can't select it) for the existing messages either so I know I'm on the wrong track.
The G programming reference for LV 5.1 (page 9-17) says to use the labeling tool so I tried the 'Edit Text' tool on the tools palette. Is there another labeling tool? Any help is appreciated.

It sounds to me as if your U16 ring control is, or is linked to, a typdef (Type Definition), which LabVIEW programmers can employ to impose sharp constraints on the way a control looks or behaves. This would explain why you can't edit the text items, or add one. The bit about adding an item for '3' is confusing, but maybe it has to do with the ring being set to allow undefined values.
I can't recall how to manage these things under LabVIEW 5.1, but in 7.x, I would right-click on the control and see if "Open Type Def" was one of my options; if so, this diagnosis is correct, and you can make your changes only be editing the actual type def. The changes would then automatically be applied to any other control or indicator that is linked to the same type def, which is a very powerful programming technique.
Your best move might be to read up on Type Definitions in your LabVIEW User Manual, or in Application Note 159, and then proceed.

if you use keyword MOVE u may loose the decimal and thoussan separator and if u don't want to loose them just call the FM ..HRCM_STRING_AMOUNT_CONVERT.
i doubt wherther it is HRCM or HCRM just try using *
this will suit ur requirement.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

How to init numeric display

In my vi i have a numeric display and a button. when button is pressed, some arithmetic calculation will happen (takes abt two seconds) and then result shown on the numeric display. if the result is less than a certain value the text bg will be red, otherwise grey.
I have no problem writing the above vi.
But what i don't know how is, before the result is calculated (before the two seconds is up), i want the numeric display to show empty and green color. how can i do this? overtime the button is pressed, the display should be cleared and grey, until the calculation is done.

Numeric indicators are always going to show some value. The default value is zero.
But if you want to make it appear to be blank, you could make the font color the same as the background color. Then when the time is up, programmatically set the font color back to the original color to make it visible.

How to move songs in one playlist from one mac to another?

I am running the current version of iTunes on my MacPro and my MBAir, both of which are authorized computers in my iTunes account. I would like to copy the tunes in one playlist on my MacPro to my MBA, so that I can take them on the road. Some of the songs are purchased from the iTunes store, and some have been ripped in from CDs I own. I have found numerous links explaining how to move an entire iTunes library to a new computer. But, I simply want to copy a few files from one Mac to another so that I can play them on either machine. How do I do this? Thanks!

There are no shortcuts with the way your iTunes libraries are set up. You'll just have to go to each individual song, use "Show in Finder" to locate the actual file and copy and paste them to your other computer's iTunes.
What I suggest for someone who has multiple computers is to designate one computer to store all of your iTunes content and use the Home Sharing feature to stream to the other computer. iTunes was not designed for an individual that has multiple computers.

How-to move objects (users) from one ou to another using Powershell and an XLSX

I have a spreadsheet that has headers. I need to move all of the objects on this exception report to the proper OU (all going to the same OU).
The header that validates the need to move is called "Display Name".
The process now is as follows.
1) Copy displayname
2) Open AD search
3) enter display name in find box
4) locate object
5) right click object in results and click move.
6) move to the OU "Home.test.com/uk Online/Users OU/Business Process"
--- How can i use Import-CSV to automate this process?
Thanks for any help, there is about 4K lines on this sheet and it normally takes about 25 days of "busy work" to accomplish this, then 5 days later I have to re-run the report and start over.

Do you have to use the display name property? That's not guaranteed to be unique, so you might run into problems. The script above will not attempt to move the user if more than one is returned by the command.
EDIT: I've also added -WhatIf to Move-ADObject. Now the command won't actually move your users, it will just tell you about it. Remove it if you're happy with the output.

How do I add numeric values as text in XML??

So, I've developed a 3d carousel using this tutorial and the XML, and customized the XML in Dreamweaver.

Now, I've got the carousel set up exactly the way I would like, but the only trouble, is how do I add numeric values as the text for the xml file???
Here's an example to the working carousel and where text is loaded for each item on it. (put your sound on mute if you don't want to hear the video)

For example, in my XML, if I would like the text to be "3d images", when I export the FLA, only "d images" comes through because the numeric values can't be added as the text for the tooltip.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Here is an example of how the XML is loaded into the .swf - the text loads great, but just not the numeric characters.
The same story can be said for special characters, I would like to know how to add a "&" sign too.

Thanks a lot for the reply. Your post got me thinking that it's actually a flash problem, as the actual descriptor text shows 123,etc and "&".
The trouble is that the icons are dynamically loaded from the XML to movie clips on the flash file. I've asked the flash forum to see if they could take a look.

Belle is a disaster for the E6: how to move on?

Many and perhaps most who upgraded to Belle did so because the phone prompted them to perform updates. It is considered to be the responsible thing to do. As with PC's; don't skip updates, it may harm your computer or data.
There was never any warning displayed as to the impact of the upgrade. For example a reduction in available screen, reduced usefulness or widgets or reduced function of the D-pad, were never mentioned. That was negligent. A backup was made during the upgrade process - giving the false impression that the previous version could be restored. That was misleading.
Nobody could imagine, unless they were regularly checking news and details on developments at Nokia, that their E6 would emerge from the process horrendously defaced and only half functional. Many E6 users use the phone for work and don't follow trends and developments, and can't be expected to do that. Had they been properly informed, they would not have upgraded. They have the right to get back the product they originally bought and used and the assurance that this will not happen again.
Belle has a ridiculous UI for a business phone, and much reduced functionality compared to Anna. Belle is a disaster specifically for the E6 because the screen is way too small for all the unnecessary eye candy (monstrous widgets) and Belle lacks important functions that Anna had.
If anyone from Nokia reads this, please respond. Complaining customers are still customers. Complaining customers are more useful than the ones that walk away in silent anger, because you can learn from them.
As to how to move on: Getting rid of the E6 and trying to forget about it is one thing, but does anyone consider some form of legal action? After all, when you buy something that has properties A, B, and C, and 6 months later the manufacturer single-handedly decides that the product now has properties C, D and E, to all intents and purposes the product is now defective because it lacks properties A and B.
For example, if the product were a washing machine ("New sleeker user interface, you can now start it by swiping the door, and the water temperature control is gone, it is now 60 Celcius always for everything because 95% of users find that easy"), and no matter what smallprint there is in the warranty, it would be utterly unacceptable.

@slitchfield: on the mentioned page, it is stated that "Improvements in screen real estate, with slimmer top status bar and optional (in some apps) bottom toolbar, meaning that all phones will have a larger useful display area."
But on the E6 the bottom toolbar decreases available screen size in most apps, most noticeable in Web browser where the full view has gone. The bottom toolbar is not optional, you can't configure it yourself.
And: "Homescreen widgets will now come in up to five different sizes (1x1, 2x1, 4x1, 2x2, 4x4) and allow a greater degree of interactivity.", but on the E6 they are in only one size, always with large borders and other visual effects.
So beware of differences between phones, perhaps some aspects of Belle work differently depending on the type of device.
"Notes now brings up a white (and AMOLED-unfriendly...) editing screen.": that you can change by switching themes, "Dark Solid for Anna" does a good job. It is a shame that the lines of Notes have gone though.
When switching themes, I found you have to restart the phone, otherwise the theme doesn't get properly loaded in all apps. Stopping/starting apps is not enough. So when experimenting and loading one theme after another, you may end up with disfunctional combinations of black-on-black and white-on-white, but it may not be due to the last theme. Also you may end up with a good combination that isn't around anymore the next time you restart your phone.

Try this....
Double click on your process chain. Via the menu select:
Process chain > Attributes > Display components
Select F4 (possible entries)
At the bottom of the window you will find a create icon
to make your own component.
After you created it, assign it to your process chain.
Don't forget to save the process chain.

If you have maintained a material in BOM with negative quantity. Then at the time of creation of Production Order when system creates automatic Reservation, then this material quantity will get displayed under "Rcpt reservation" column in MMBE. Because that much quantity will be received as By-Product via 531 movement.

Yes we've done that. They've confirmed a problem with the links/scripts on the note. The 10.1 and up version was not really 10.1 and up.
As they would not have a new version available in time for the move we needed to perform, we switched our approach to using dbms_redefinition instead.
