How to omit the report column in pdf-print?

Hi, experts!
I have a column with html code (a link to another web-page). The html draws a button with redirection to a specific link. In the properties of that column I set an "html" format, so the code executes and the desired button appears... but! When I print this report (using printer friendly option PDF) it shows me the html code of the button, but not the button itself. So the question is:
a) how to omit specific column from a PDF?
OR
b) how to push OBI showing the button (not the html code)?
thnx 2 all in advance!

Hi,try reading and understanding the third-last one from

  • How to Print the Report Column headers on each page of any report

Can someone offer assistance on how I can go about achieving the ability to show and print the Report Column headers on each page of any report using the Print Attributes of APEX 3.0? These reports will be printed using Excel and Word.
I read a thread with a similar request but the answer seems vague for my level of understanding.
I am connected to a print server and using BI Publisher.
    Thanks,
    Ric

    Hello Ric,
    >> These reports will be printed using Excel and Word.
I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to do. You are using a very powerful tool – BI Publisher – why do you need Excel or Word for printing? Is there a special need only Excel or Word can provide?
One of the major advantages of using BI Publisher is that it's taking care of all these tedious tasks like reasonable page breaking, headers and footers, and also table headers.

    Arie.

  • How to expand the hierarchy column automatically when delivery reports by a

    Hi Experts,
In OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0,how to expand the hierarchy column automatically when delivery reports by agent?
    For example:
In SampleLite RPD, when we drag "Time Hierarchy" and Sales column into the report , and sent it by agent ,it will only display "Total" sales, not show all level value, such as Year,Month,Day.So how to expand the hierarchy column automatically when delivery reports by agent?
If we expand all levels and save them, it will be ok, however, when we add new data, it will be collpased automatically and not show the lowest level data, requiring Users or Developer to modify this report for expanding the hierarchy. We think it is very trouble, is there any good suggestion or method for achieving our requirement?

    Hi Dpka,
Is it any difference? I look at the result is same.
Firstly, you said it is 'Add member of ',
Now, you said it is 'Keep member of'
Could you please tell me which options I must select ? Thanks very much. Here is some notes from the documentation to make a better sense of how those two options would work:
•Selection steps — When you create selection steps, you can add a group or a calculated item in a step. Subsequent Keep Only or Remove steps might reference members that were included in the group or calculated item.
◦A group list is affected by members that are kept or removed in subsequent steps, but the group outline value remains the same. For example, suppose the MyNewYork group contains Albany and Buffalo and its value is 100. Suppose Albany is removed in a later step. The value of the MyNewYork group remains at 100, but Albany is no longer listed with the group.
◦A calculated item is not affected by members that are kept or removed in subsequent steps, because removals can affect the components of the formula.
•Groups and calculated items — A step can include a group or calculated item. Groups and calculated items can be used only with Add steps; they cannot be used in Keep Only or Remove steps.

As there are having the facility to convert the output in .PDF or .HTML format but i want to convert that into Excel Sheet......
Please Guide me in this regards

    Hello,
If your question is about the format spreadsheet, it is not possible from Reports Builder :
    http://www.oracle.com/webapps/online-help/reports/10.1.2/topics/htmlhelp_rwbuild_hs/rwwhthow/whatare/output/output_a_simpleexcel.htm
    Restrictions
It is not possible to generate spreadsheet output directly from Reports Builder. Instead, on the command line, you can run the report using rwrun or Reports Server clients (rwservlet, rwclient, rwcgi), with DESFORMAT=SPREADSHEET. You cannot store DESFORMAT=SPREADSHEET as a system parameter value in the report definition (.rdf file).

  • Examples of chart in the report column like monitor activity page

    Hello,
Can anybody help me how to create a report having chart as one of the column in the report like Administration->Monitory Activity pages.
I have a report having columns like date, salesman, collection%.
The collection% must be displayed as bar chart showing % in the report column itself.
I searched a lot and end up with no examples found for this kind of example.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,

First of all, it appears that there is no "HTML EXPRESSION" or an area to assign a CSS class to a column for interactive reports. I've even tried to use "COMPUTE" on an interactive report to introduce the <DIV> tabs and style, but that doesn't seem to work either. So If you're using an interactive report, it looks like you're out of luck.
But if you use a standard report, here is a quick example using the standard Demo tables on an interactive report. I'll do my best to describe what I'm doing step by step.
The query I'm using is a simple list of employees that shows the following columns:
    <ul>
    <li> EMPNO
    <li> ENAME
    <li> JOB
    <li> SAL
    <li> COMM
<li> COMM / (SAL + COMM) *100 (What percent of total Salary is the employees Commission)
    </ul>
So here is the SQL statement I'm going to use:
select empno, ename, job, sal, comm, round(nvl((comm / (sal + comm) *100),0)) Pct_Comm
from empNow, Create an standard (SQL) report on the page of your choice by selecting the CREATE button at the top of the page editor. Select "REGION ON THIS PAGE" => "REPORT" => "SQL REPORT"
Enter a the TITLE and TEMPLATE of your choice, then click the NEXT button.
Copy and paste the select statement above into the page region for the select statement, and press the CREATE REGION button.
Go ahead and run the report and you will see a whole number for the COMM_PCT.
Now to turn this into a graph within the column perform the following steps.
    <ol>
<li>Edit the page and then edit the report by clicking on the "Report" link on the page definition. This will bring up the Report Attributes Page.
<li>Edit the PCT_COMM column by clicking on the EDIT icon at the beginning of the row.
<li>Cut and paste the html from my above post into the "HTML EXPRESSION" field.
<li>Edit the HTML you just pasted to remove any unnecessary spaces in the tags that might cause it to render incorrectly.
<li>In the HTML EXPRESSION string, replace the #COLLECTION_PCT# string with #PCT_COMM#. (This is a substitution variable that represents the value of that column. We're using that to set the WIDTH attribute of the bar).
<li>Apply your changes and re-run the report.
    </ol>
et. Voi la! You have a graph in your report.
    Hope that was clear enough.

  • HOW TO SEND THE REPORTS AND  THROUGH XI TO NON -SAP SYSTEM

    Hi Experts,
I want to know how to send the reports and  smartform through xi to another system. All the post blogs are   just explaning only about the FILE-TO-FILE, FILE-TO-IDOCS scenarios only.

    Hi,
XI is the middleware that to be used to transfer the data between various systems and even you could design the Business Processes with it.
In R/3 the smartforms, are generally converted to PDF and then  have to send it across to Non SAP systems. Similarly you can convert the smartforms to pdf format and keep it on application server. XI will pick up that pdf and will send it to Non SAP system either as mail or as an attachments.
ABAP reports are normally used to re-present the data. If you need to transfer this data across the Non SAP systems then you have the IDOCs to be generated, RFC or ABAP Proxy to integrate this data with Non SAP system.
XI is not restricted only upto file to file or file to IDOC scenarios. It have enormous capabilities to involve various Business Processes as well integrate various SAP or Non SAP systems.
If need anymore  specific details, please let us know.
    Thanks
