How to packaging javaFX with ICON

Hi
I have successfully generated native application for javaFX, however I don't know how to package application ICON to native package.
I already able to see icon when I run it in netbeans.
Regards,
Hua Jie

Look at the output from the javafxpackager call - it prints all kinds of helpful messages that tell you how to customize (search for the word icon). On Mac it told me to put add the image: package/macosx/MyApp.icns. On windows it told me to add the image package/windows/MyApp.ico. I don't know about linux.
I've been running javafxpackager from the command line - I find that the package directory needs to be in the same directory I run from (though maybe I just need to set the -classpath arg).

  • How to Handle Data with Icons

I'm trying to create a directory of showroom locations and the type of products that they carry. I need an efficient way to manage the data (like an Access database) but I need to represent the product categories with icons. My team has drawn the icons in Illustrator and I have considered using a utility to create a custom icon font, but those custom icon fonts are web-fonts only and it appears that they cannot be used in the database directly.  The final output needs to be in a printable format. Any suggestions on how to solve this? Do I need someone to write a custom script to run in InDesign?

Hard to say without seeing the layout, but perhaps Data Merge would work-- you can place images using data merge. Another possibility is to use some sort of text symbol, then use Find/Change to replace with contents of the clip board after copying an icon.
Or make your own font with a better utility: Indiscripts :: IndyFont

  • How to package JavaFX 2 without boundle JRE

    Hi
As the title, it's very useful to package java application as native installer. But the problem is, the package size is more than 50MB even my code is only 3 lines.
If I already installed jre or jdk in my OS, can I choose to package without JRE?
    Regards,
    Hua Jie

Wang, apparently you can create a native installer without a packaged Java runtime.
I've never tried it, so you would have to try it and see.  (some of the items on the JavaFX deployment blog either weren't implemented or took a long time to implement).  Definitely use a recent JavaFX version if you try this (either the latest Java 7 release or - if that doesn't work - the most recent Java 8 pre-release).
    From Igor's blog post:
Self-Contained Applications: Create Package without Java Runtime
This may sound a bit puzzling at first glance. Package without embedded Java Runtime is not really self-contained and obviously will not help with:
Deployment on fresh systems. JRE need to be installed separately (and this step will require admin permissions).
Possible compatibility issues due to updates of system runtime.
However, these packages are much much smaller in size. If download size matters and you are confident that user have recommended system JRE installed then this may be good option to consider if you want to improve user experience for install and launch.
Technically, this is implemented as an extension of previous feature. Pass empty string as value for 'basedir' attribute and this will be treated as request to not bundle Java runtime, e.g.
    <fx:platform basedir=""/>

  • How to package apps with beehive controls?

I just developed a web-service project that has one jdbc control in it. The app works fine from workshop. Now I want a deployable archive file. Can I get by using a war module or I must create an ear?
Web Service project does not contain an option to export ear file. I can export only war file from there. If I export this war file, it does not work - I get deployment error:
javax.enterprise.deploy.model.exceptions.DDBeanCreateException: [J2EE Deployment SPI:260142]The descriptor at 'META-INF/annotation-manifest.xml' in module 'null' is not recognized, and could not be parsed.
I did some search on web and found http://dev2dev.bea.com/cs/user/blog?file=/blog/hogue/archive/2006/09/changing_annota.html
Based on information here, I created an ear project and exported ear. To get this ear file to work I had to deploy beehive-controls-1.0.ear separately to all servers including admin server in cluster.
My understanding is that we ear are created so that we can package all libraries in one deployable archive. I dont understand why the ear created by workshop requires me to deploy libraries separately? It seems this is a problem with workshop. Ideally, I would like to write an ant task to create deployable module. It will be great if someone can post a sample ant task to compile a web-service using jwsc and package it as an war/ear. I have tried to write my own but it doesn't work.

  • Non Resizable JDialog with icon

    Hi All...
How to create dialog with icon on the top left corner and also this dialog should be non resizable.

Use setResizable(false) to make the dialog non-resizable.
The Dialog automatically inherits the icon of the parent Frame/Dialog which is passed in the constructor.

To find a copy of LP7 you would need to look for a copy on eBay.. However, the protection method used with LP7 no longer functions so you cannot register it and therefore you cannot use it. unless you have already registered LP7 yourself in the past using the security key dongle provided
Any version of LP7 from a torrent would be an illegal (and most likely non working) version due to the protection that was used at that time... and so posting about it here, was not be wise.
So.. thats why my previous answer was so brief... Simply put, you cannot use LP7 unless you already have a validated and registered security dongle... even if you found a copy of LP7 somewhere
The only practical solution is to find some kind soul who already has a working version of LP7 installed, that you can send the projects to... for them to do the conversion for you.
I would, but I no longer have LP7 installed here on any of my testbed Macs...

  • How do I retrieve the icons in the download map of my 2009 iMac with Maverick. They show up in the finder, but not when I open downloads from the dock.

I have a 2009 iMac running on Mavericks. Since a few days, when I open the Download Map from the dock, I only see "empty" icon symbols. When I leave the map open the icons re-appear after some 20 seconds. When I re-open the downloads, the icons are empty again.
How do I get the icons to behave in a normal way again?

bro I just had this issue its as simple as swiping to the right of each album artwork that does not display in the list view (On your Iphone.) Once you swipe to the right on every album that does not display in the list view you will see the delete option come up. Hit delete! Dont be scared. Do this with every album art that does not show up and then resync your Iphone. Go to the list view again and all of your missing album artwork will be displayed in both the list overview and close up landscape mode.

Do I need to download the whole JAVA 1.7 on MAC to run the JAR? No
Can not I run the Jar file with Jre7?Yes, you can.
This may be because I have downloaded the JRE 1.7Yep, that's correct, the java_home command only works for jdk's - sorry for the confusion.
For jre7+ versions, only a single Oracle jre version is allowed to be installed on the machine at a time - making a tool like java_home redundant for jre checking.
Weirdly, jre7u10 does not supplant the Apple Java on the command line path by default. If you just type java -v, then the Apple java version will displayed if you have an old Java 6 from Apple and a new Oracle jre7+.
The Oracle jre is always located under (also somewhat strangely):
/Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/javaTo test jar launching, I used the willow JavaFX browser pre-release jar available here:
    http://code.google.com/p/willow-browser/downloads/detail?name=Willow-0.1-prerelease.jar
Then I launched the jar from the command line using:
/Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/java -jar Willow-0.1-prerelease.jar The JavaFX jar ran fine on jre7 with the above machine.
The test machine was running Mac OS X 8 with Oracle jre7u10 installed as well as the Apple Java 6 runtime, but no Oracle jdk7+ installed.

    Hi,
It's not the faxformat in ITCPO.
What I figured out by comparing my program with another program (printout of balance sheets) is that this other program is able to fax or to print but not at the same execution. When you execute the balance sheet program in order to fax, the sapscript formular is created with the printer POSTSCPT (driver: POST) and code page 1117. When you execute it for printouts another printer can be choosen and the code page is 1110.
Could this be the problem of not beeing able to fax an existing spool (sapscript) request? Or is there a way to convert the OTFDATA from code page 1110 to 1117?
    Cheers,
    Thomas

  • How to package .tld files into MATA-INF folder with jar?

I noticed that tag lib jar file contains *.tld under its META-INF folder. Justwonder how to implement this with command jar? Thank you!

I have discovered how to get it to work, but I'm not sure what the problem is. I can consistently duplicate it.
If I manually copy a file into the myapp\src folder, the file does not get copied to the bin-debug folder and, thus does not get added to the list of files to include.  I build my app dozens of times. This file NEVER appears in the file list under the src folder in the Package Explorer View.  Even if I close Flash Builder and open it again, my added file NEVER appears in the file list.
Only if I right click on my project in the Package Explorer View and select Refresh, will the file appear in the list.  Then and only then, when I go through the Export process, the file will appear in the list and be included in the AIR package.
That seems like a bug to me.  Even if you said it wouldn't detect the file being added while Flash Builder is open, it should at least check the project folder when I open it and update the list with any new files.
I'd still like to know how to get this to work without manually refreshing the project although admittedly I won't be adding files to the project often.
The "Copy non-embedded files to output folder" option is something good to know. I initially unchecked it and saved and rechecked it, just to be sure it was set.

  • How to delete podcasts with the iclould icon?

How to delete podcasts with the iclould icon?

That is discouraging.  However I do notice that if I view my podcasts in My Podcasts mode they are grouped and sorted better than in Unplayed mode and the ones in the cloud are not shown. However although I prefer the one window view of List mode to the two windows My Podcast mode, My Podcast mode does at least indicate how many unplayed episodes I have from each podcast.  This would almost be acceptable except that partially listened to podcasts, while still there, can only be identified by highlighting the podcast title on the lefthand sidebar, (although the number of completely unplayed episodes are listed on the left hand sidebar).  As someone who often listens to a podcast over two or more days I fear I could forget which ones I have only partially listened to and would have to go down the entire left hand sidebar list highlighting each podcast to remind myself.  I really find the List mode the most informative and easiest way to view my podcasts and really wish Apple had not messed with it

  • Eclipse - how to share a package/class with 3 diff projects

    Hi all,
I have 3 projects that are customized diffrently but one package is same for everyone (sharedClass). The problem is when I add/delete/update the SharedClass I have to do it 3 times (for each project)
Question: How can I share the package/Class with the 3 projects? I mean, I want to change it once and the effect will take place to all 3 PROJECTS.
    Thanks
    Ppr

This is an Eclipse question and doesn't really belong here, but:
I would put the shared package into its own project. Then for the three projects (after removing the shared package) I would use the Project menu and choose properties. Choose Java Build Path snd select Projects. Choose Add and select the project containing the shared package.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
In the context  create an attribute of type string .
Create the attribute in the node which you bind for table.
    In the layout .
    1.create a Table UI element.
2 create binding for UI element.
3Right click on the Table UI and select insert table column.
4.once the table column is inserted right click on table column and select insert cell editor.
5.create the cell editor of the type image.
6.Bind the source property of the image to the attribute in the node which you have created.
so depending on what image(type of icon) needs to be displayed set the attibute accordingly.
