How to pass importing parameter of super class method to subclass method?

i have defined a class
CLASS CUST_REPORT DEFINITION.
PUBLIC SECTION.
    METHODS:DATA_RETRIVE IMPORTING CUSTID_LOW TYPE ZCUSTOMER-ZCUSTID
                                   CUSTID_HIGH TYPE ZCUSTOMER-ZCUSTID.
    DATA:IT_CUST TYPE TABLE OF ZCUSTOMER,
         WA_CUST TYPE ZCUSTOMER.
ENDCLASS.                    "cust_report DEFINITION
The method DATA_RETRIVE   in this class has two importing parameters named CUSTID_LOW   and CUSTID_HIGH.
then i have defined subclas of this clas.
LASS CUST_ORD DEFINITION INHERITING FROM CUST_REPORT.
PUBLIC SECTION.
    DATA:IT_ORD TYPE TABLE OF ZORDER.
    METHODS:DATA_RETRIVE REDEFINITION,
           DISPLAY.
ENDCLASS.                    "cust_ord DEFINITION
Method DATA_RETRIVE   is redefined.
So how to pass importing parameteres of super class method to sub class method with the same name.

I tried like this.
METHOD DATA_RETRIVE.
CALL METHOD SUPER->DATA_RETRIVE
      EXPORTING
        CUSTID_LOW = I_CUSTLOW
        CUSTID_HIGH = I_CUSTHIGH.
ENDMETHOD.
But parameters I_CUSTLOW and I_CUSTHIGH are not getting values after call to method.

And regarding your question,
Your guid should be of "CRMT_OBJECT_GUID_TAB" type and not CRMT_OBJECT_GUID.
Eg,
DATA : IT_GUID TYPE CRMT_OBJECT_GUID_TAB.
APPEND '488628CFB8C600B0E1008000C0090137' TO IT_GUID.
CALL FUNCTION 'CRM_ORDER_READ'
EXPORTING
IT_HEADER_GUID = IT_GUID

Hi... i don't know how to pass the parameter of the stored procedure to the iReport.
In the Report Query, i tried
1. sp_storedprocedure ' value'
2. sp_storedprocedure +''''+$P{parameter}+''''+
3. sp_storedprocedure +$V+$P{parameter}++$F($F is a variable having a value of ' (a single quote))may you enlighten us please? thank you

For M$ SQL server I find that it only works when U use the fully qualified name...
e.g. catalod.dbo.my_procedure_name 'variable'
My full query in the Report Query window is something like this:

...to wrap your SELECT statement, then call the PROC

I am using ReportViewer in JSP Page through url--

But it is not accepting parameter if they are cascaded.It is working fine if Both parameters are independent.

I am trying to pass a parameter from one class to another class with in a package.And i am Getting the variable as null every time.In the code there is two classes.
i. BugWatcherAction.java
ii.BugWatcherRefreshAction.Java.
We have implemented caching in the front-end level.But according to the business logic we need to clear the cache and again have to access the database after some actions are happened.There are another class file called BugwatcherPortletContent.java.
So, we are dealing with three java files.The database interaction is taken care by the portletContent.java file.Below I am giving the code for the perticular function in the bugwatcherPortletContent.java:

So this is the total scenario for the fetching the data , after clearing the cache and display that in the portal.I am unable to do that.Presently it is still fetching the data from the cache and it is not going to the database.Even the portlet Id is returning as null.
I am unable to implement that thing.
If you have any insight about this thing, that would be great .As it is very urgent a promt response will highly appreciated.Please send me any pointers or any issues for this I am unable to do that.

I think you are talk about the mapping parameters of your process.
This case in design time of your workflow, you have the vision of your blocks and actions, you have on action 1 the output parameter and you have the action 2 an input parameter.
So you have that make a group mapping on your process, map in this group the action1 outpu parameter with the action2 input parameter.

i am in a situation, where i have a logging table in which i have a primary key called ETL_log_ID which is an identity column and acts as a foreign key for various fact table and dimension tables which are populated using SSIS packages. Now i wanna use the
ETL_log_ID as a parameter in the execute sql task which populates the log table and pass the same value in the data flow task which populates the facts and dimension. Can you let me know how to pass the parameter in a step by step procedure.

How to pass dynamic parameter to a database function in OBIEE

I have a requirement like this. I have to create one report in OBIEE which was in Discoverer. Now in discoverer report there are some calculated item in the worksheet based on database pkg.functions. The parameter which user gives at run time that parameters are then passed to the discoverer calculated items dynamically. But I am not able to do this in OBIEE answers.
Can anyone tell me step by step how I can able to pass the user selected parameter values in OBIEE answer level.
The example:
GET_COMM_VALUE_PTD("AFE Cost & Commitment".Afe Id,:"Period Name(AFE)","AFE Cost & Commitment".Data Sel,"AFE Cost & Commitment".Org Id)
GET_COMM_VALUE_PTD --- Function database

I already did that. But the existing discoverer re value report is showing correct value but the OBIEE report with EVALUATE function shows incorrect value.
The requirement is to create a OBIEE Dashboard from a Discoverer existing report. Now in discoverer report theere are several calculated items in worksheet level where database custom function is used and user selected parameter value is passed run time in that function. But when that is created in OBIEE with EVALUATE function in RPD, the report shows incorrect data. Could not understand how to pass the parameter value runtime.

I create a Oracle Report as a Portlet in Portal (create Report Definition File Access and check on the option "Publish As Portlet" in the on the last step). My report has an "Additional User Parameter" and I has let it "Visible to user".
When I put this portlet in my Portal page, I can see this parameter in the property/parameters of this page. However I cannot transfer my page parameter to this portlet parameter. Other portlets in this page (non-Oracle-Report portlets) are working fine with my page parameter.
Please advice.

I want to make sure we are talking about the same thing:
After you add the portlet to the page, you go to the page properties, then the parameters tab, then there is a section at the bottom called "Portlet Parameter Values" where you can click and expand your portlet to see your portlet parameters.
Is it here where your parameters just don't show up?
If it is, try the following:
- Add the portlet to another page and see if it still behaves the same.
- Mark the parameters in the portlet as being non-public, re-generate portlet (on manage tab), then mark them as being public, re-generate and then try the above again (add to another page).

Overwriting a method of a super class in the subclass ???

Hi,
can somebody tell me whether it's possible to add a new implementation of a method in the sub class which is inherited from a super class?
I want to model my program in that way:
1. I define a super class with some implemented methods.
2. This class should be inherited in a sub class. One method should be used as it was implemented in the super class but another method should be overwritten in the subclass.
I know this concept from Java but I couldn't find a way how to do it in ABAP

Subclass can re-implement the inherited public and protected methods from superclass.Class C1 contains method METH1(public) and METH2(protected), both of which are modified and re-implemented in its subclass C2.also you can have ur own methods in subclass.Objects are created out of both classes and the method METH1 for both objects are called.

In java there is no way to override
the methodsThat's incorrect. You can override methods in Java.
However, you cannot do what the OP is trying to do.

As Sachin already said, selection options are stored in an internal table. You can reconstruct the table type without the corresponding input fields using the type addition RANGE OF.
So - assuming you have the following in your program:
DATA: wa TYPE sflight.
SELECT-OPTIONS so_car FOR sflight-carrid.
you can create a publically-visible type in your class using direct type entry and the code
TYPES: my_selectoption TYPE RANGE OF sflight-carrid.
and use this to define the importing parameter of the method.
The only other thing you have to remember is that select-options generates an internal table with header line. Thereore, to pass the table to the method, you would use (in the above example) so_car[], and not just the name of the select-option.

Dear experts,
I have a widget which shows me important information by passing date as a parameter
on eclipse plugin.
I am able to see data only if i give date as YYYYMMDD as standard SAP format.
I want to pass sysdate in this way ,what should i write.
Controller.showMain_View({"INPUT_DATE": });
If input_Date is import parameter then how should i pass the value. ?

First check whether you have any predefined functions in the widget library..else create a java script and call it in your widget...
you can use this Java script code and modify the output according to your usage using string functions:
use date function to get the system date...
also include the js file in your .kon file...
