How to perform series operation in SSIS

I have scenario in which I am getting a row from XLS and in that ro I have data for multiple tables based on if one table has some data or not
EXAMPLE :
Search a table in database on basis of column in the xls row
STEP #1 If TABLE A has that row then do nothing and move to next step else insert new row into TABLE A and move to next step
STEP #2 If TABLE B has that row then do nothing and move to next step else insert new row into TABLE B and move to next step
STEP #3 If TABLE C has that row then do nothing and move to next step else insert new row into TABLE C and move to next step
STEP #4 If TABLE D has that row then do nothing and move to next step else insert new row into TABLE D and move to next step
STEP #5 If TABLE E has that row then do nothing  else insert new row into TABLE E
Currently I am trying to achieve this by using multicast and from that multicast putting inputs into 5 OLE DB DESTINATION but by doing this some time one step execute earlier then previous and integrity constrain violated so getting error

I think what you need is to use a series of lookup tasks
Inside data flow task add OLEDB source to point to source table
Then add a lookup step to each of table based on which you want to do the row comparison. Link the nonmatch output of lookup task to a script task which will do insertion of record and fetch the generated id and then link both match and script task outputs
to union all task which will linked to next lookup task input. This will keep on repeating for each of the lookup tasks and finally have OLEDB destination to insert records to your final table.

  • How to perform CRUD operations on joined tables created with Fluent API on Azure Mobile Services?

    I've been following the
    Field Engineer example project from the Windows Development Center to guide into mapping many-to-many relationships on my model. What's been bothering me is how to insert entries into many-to-many relationships.
    Take my model as example:
    An Organization can have many Users.
    An User can belong to many Organizations.
    My model class for User looks like this:
    public class User
    public User()
    this.Organizations = new HashSet<Organization>();
    public int Id { get; set; }
    public string Email { get; set; }
    public string Password { get; set; }
    public string PasswordSalt { get; set; }
    public string FirstName { get; set; }
    public string LastName { get; set; }
    public bool Active { get; set; }
    public string Picture { get; set; }
    public string PictureMimeType { get; set; }
    public bool Confirmed { get; set; }
    public string ConfirmationKey { get; set; }
    [JsonIgnore]
    public virtual ICollection<Organization> Organizations { get; set; }
    My UserDTO class is this:
    public class UserDTO : EntityData
    public string Email { get; set; }
    public string Password { get; set; }
    public string PasswordSalt { get; set; }
    public string FirstName { get; set; }
    public string LastName { get; set; }
    public bool Active { get; set; }
    public string Picture { get; set; }
    public string PictureMimeType { get; set; }
    public bool Confirmed { get; set; }
    public string ConfirmationKey { get; set; }
    My Organization class:
    public class Organization
    public Organization()
    this.Users = new List<User>();
    public string Id { get; set; }
    public string Title { get; set; }
    public string LegalName { get; set; }
    public string TaxReference { get; set; }
    [JsonIgnore]
    public virtual ICollection<User> Users { get; set; }
    My OrganizationDTO class:
    public class OrganizationDTO : EntityData
    public string Title { get; set; }
    public string LegalName { get; set; }
    public string TaxReference { get; set; }
    public virtual ICollection<UserDTO> Users { get; set; }
    With those classes in mind I created the controller classes, I mapped the DTO and the Model classes using AutoMapper as follows:
    cfg.CreateMap<Organization, OrganizationDTO>()
    .ForMember(organizationDTO => organizationDTO.Id,
    map => map.MapFrom(organization => MySqlFuncs.LTRIM(MySqlFuncs.StringConvert(organization.Id))))
    .ForMember(organizationDTO => organizationDTO.Users,
    map => map.MapFrom(organization => organization.Users));
    cfg.CreateMap<OrganizationDTO, Organization>()
    .ForMember(organization => organization.Id,
    map => map.MapFrom(organizationDTO => MySqlFuncs.LongParse(organizationDTO.Id)))
    .ForMember(organization => organization.Users,
    map => map.Ignore());
    Using Fluent API, I defined the relationship between these two entities using an EntityTypeConfiguration class like this:
    public class UserEntityConfiguration : EntityTypeConfiguration<User>
    public UserEntityConfiguration()
    this.Property(u => u.Id).HasDatabaseGeneratedOption(DatabaseGeneratedOption.Identity);
    this.HasMany<Organization>(u => u.Organizations).WithMany(o => o.Users).Map(uo =>
    uo.MapLeftKey("UserId");
    uo.MapRightKey("OrganizationId");
    uo.ToTable("OrganizationsUsers");
    I created a TableController class to handle UserDTO and OrganizationDTO, I have no problem inserting new Users or new Organizations, but the endpoints from each TableController class only allows me to add Users or Organizations individually as far as I understand.
    To create an entry into the OrganizationsUser table, how can I achieve this?
    I was thinking a PATCH request should be a way to do this, but is it the right way? Do I have to define a TableController for this? How can I expose the Insert, Update, Select and Delete operation for the elements in this relationship? What would be the JSON
    to be sent to the endpoints?

    Hi,
    if you accept lists to hold the LOV data, then here is an example : http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/index-101235.html#CodeCornerSamples --> sample 70

  • How to perform merge operation using Data services designer?

    I am new here and new to Data Services Desinger as well.
    And currently, I want to do a merge operation using query transform or table comparison transform. But sadly, neither one of them is giving me what I want.
    So, wonder if you could help clarify if either one of them could achieve MERGE operation between and source and target tables?
    if positive, then how?
    PS:
    by MERGE, i mean, if data exists in target table, then only do update, else, do insert. same with the standard MERGE operation of oracle.
    If you need any more info, let me know!
    Thanks in advance.

    You can do this.
    You don't need the Tabe_Comparison transform actually.
    Just query the data you need and output the flow from your query to your target table.
    Then, you'll have to check the "Auto correct load" option: this will insert new lines and updates old ones. One checked, you can ckeck the "Auto correct load" checkbox.
    By default, BODS will know a line already exists based uppon the primary key columns of your target table. If you want to change the columns used to determine if a line should be inserted or updated, use the "Use input key" checkbox (and define some PK column in your query).
    Hope this helps

  • I need to sort very large Excel files and perform other operations.  How much faster would this be on a MacPro rather than my MacBook Pro i7, 2.6, 15R?

    I am a scientist and run my own business.  Money is tight.  I have some very large Excel files (~200MB) that I need to sort and perform logic operations on.  I currently use a MacBookPro (i7 core, 2.6GHz, 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3) and I am thinking about buying a multicore MacPro.  Some of the operations take half an hour to perform.  How much faster should I expect these operations to happen on a new MacPro?  Is there a significant speed advantage in the 6 core vs 4 core?  Practically speaking, what are the features I should look at and what is the speed bump I should expect if I go to 32GB or 64GB?  Related to this I am using a 32 bit version of Excel.  Is there a 64 bit spreadsheet that I can us on a Mac that has no limit on column and row size?

    Grant Bennet-Alder,
    It’s funny you mentioned using Activity Monitor.  I use it all the time to watch when a computation cycle is finished so I can avoid a crash.  I keep it up in the corner of my screen while I respond to email or work on a grant.  Typically the %CPU will hang at ~100% (sometimes even saying the application is not responding in red) but will almost always complete the cycle if I let it go for 30 minutes or so.  As long as I leave Excel alone while it is working it will not crash.  I had not thought of using the Activity Monitor as you suggested. Also I did not realize using a 32 bit application limited me to 4GB of memory for each application.  That is clearly a problem for this kind of work.  Is there any work around for this?   It seems like a 64-bit spreadsheet would help.  I would love to use the new 64 bit Numbers but the current version limits the number of rows and columns.  I tried it out on my MacBook Pro but my files don’t fit.
    The hatter,
    This may be the solution for me. I’m OK with assembling the unit you described (I’ve even etched my own boards) but feel very bad about needing to step away from Apple products.  When I started computing this was the sort of thing computers were designed to do.  Is there any native 64-bit spreadsheet that allows unlimited rows/columns, which will run on an Apple?  Excel is only 64-bit on their machines.
    Many thanks to both of you for your quick and on point answers!

  • How to perform operations on table control

    hello experts,
                         will u plz tell me how to perform operations like delete and update on tablecontrol in module pool.
                                thanks in advance,

    Hey Aravind,
    In case you want to delete just from your table control and not from database table, then you can use the commands:
    clear <workarea_name>
    delete <workarea_name>
    for your selected rows.
    And for deleting from database tables also, use:
    Delete from <Database_table_name> where <where_clause>.
    clear <workarea_name>
    delete <workarea_name>
    This will delete both from the table control and database table also.
    Reward if it proved useful to you.
    Regards
    Natasha Garg

    Hi sai,
    U mentioned, but i couldn't clearly able to understand that.......Since to perform Group By i need to make some setting changes in content in Advanced Tab setting like that it is mentioned, but i need to perform in the following manner
    select count(nationality), nationality
    from per_all_people_f, per_all_assignment_f, hr_all_organization_units
    group by department
    Note: per_all_people_f-----------> dimension table, per_all_assignment_f--------------> fact table
    nationality from per_all_people_f and count(nationality) from per_all_assignment_f
    But department is from hr_all_organization_units--------->dim table

  • Microsoft Outlook 2010 The delegates settings were not saved correctly. Cannot activate Send-on-behalf-of list. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object.

    I am trying to assign delegation to a user and I receive the following message.
    The delegates settings were not saved correctly.  Cannot activate Send-on-behalf-of list.  You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object.
    We are using 2010 for the server and client.  There are only specific mailboxes that this is happening for after being migrated from Lotus Notes.  The user can use their mailfile fine however it is just the delegation that appears corrupted somehow.
    I'm not sure how to fix this.  I have checked the access through the security tab in ad and that looks fine.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    I did some more digging and I solved it.
    This would be the solution:
    In Active Directory Users and Computers
    -Click on VIEW
    -Click on ADVANCE FEATURES  (this is important otherwise you won't see
    the complete list in the next steps)
    -Click on the USERS container
    -Find the problem user's account
    -Right mouse the account and click on PROPERTIES
    -Click on the SECURITY tab
    -In the top box, click on the SELF account
    -In the bottom portion of the screen make sure the READ PERSONAL
    INFORMATION  & WRITE PERSONAL INFORMATION  should both be checked for
    ALLOW
    If you can compare the permissions for 'SELF' with another user you probably should set them accordingly to be safe. I noticed that for the user where setting delegates (SOB) did
    not work, more than those 2 permissions were missing.
    Good luck!

  • How to perform a classic Mac OS search in Tiger

    Disclaimer: Apple does not necessarily endorse any suggestions, solutions, or third-party software products that may be mentioned in the topic below. Apple encourages you to first seek a solution at Apple Support. The following links are provided as is, with no guarantee of the effectiveness or reliability of the information. In an this post I will describe how to perform a classic Mac OS search and give example results. You may perform the search with or without the spotlight database. This search falls under the smart folder implementation introduced with Tiger. I have done all my testing with Mac OS 10.4.11. I assume this will work with any version of Tiger or Leopard.
    The results will be slightly different with a spotlight database on the partition and without a database on the partition. With a database, you will not see Unix hidden files. You may be able to use all of the spotlight special find features. I did not test much with the spotlight special fields. Without a database, using the special features nulls out the search and the "Search for" field seems to give the same result as using the name field.
    This search technique was obscured by all the hoopla over spotlight. Authors of Tiger books avoided mentioning the Classic search interface. When I looked in Leopard books I noticed some authors put back information on the Classic search interface.
    For testing I created these files
    For testing I created a test "z-find" folder on my Macintosh-HD, containing files and folders with various attributes, then copied it over to my Spotless flash drive. This means both searches searched for the same file names.
    I put these files on my Macintosh-HD and Spotless partitions.
    Here is the list of files:
    !http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2122/3746333451_36daa677f8.jpg?v=0!
    Here is the list of files again:

    Perform the Classic Mac OS search with a Spotlight database.
    {color:red}By Classic Mac OS search I mean a search on the filename and the results shown in list format.{color} How do you get to this interface?
    *Click on the Desktop to access the Finder.*
    *Click on File then click on Find. (Command-F)*
    Pick what folder you wished to search. With Tiger you can click on Others... to select a folder. Click on the plus sign to select the folder you wish to search. Be sure the selected folder in the list is the only one checked. In the first example I picked: /Users/mac/Desktop/iMac/z-find/
    {color:purple}The "Search for" field on the first line is used for spotlight. Avoid using this box.{color}
    *Click on the double arrow to the right of the first option (Kind). Go down to the name field.*
    *Change the 2nd pop down field to Contains.*
    *You can now search for the contents of a filename.* I searched for name contains: bash-
    To see the Classic display format, click on the three line icon which is located on the upper left of the window (list view). There is a small refresh icon on the lower right of the window.
    !http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3485/3240587496_741476de7b.jpg?v=0!
    This is the result of the search with a Spotlight database:
    bash-backup-copy-invisible-attr.html
    bash-backup-inside-bash-copy.html
    bash-backup-inside-bash.html
    bash-backup.html
    bash-batChmod.html
    bash-battery_yellow_4k.html    {labeled with the Yellow attribute}
    bash-copy    {folder}
    bash-copy-invisible-attr    {folder}
    bash-folder__green    {folder and labeled with the Green attribute}
    ping_command-bash-copy.html
    You can create a smart folder to take you directly to the search panel. Just click on the Save icon to the right of the window near the top. For readers of books, you should look under smart folders.
    !http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3498/3239759755_d5ebbefe05.jpg?v=0!
    There are some downsides. Initially, the search will find both visible and invisible Mac OS files. However, the search seems to get confused between visible and invisible files when you select the visibility option. It seems to get the visible correct when you use visible but when you add invisible things get confused. Sometimes it will find invisible files and sometimes it won't. I used both the Unix invisible files and the Mac OS X visiblity attribute.
    In putting the same search in the upper right-hand-corner spotlight search and in the Search for field, I did not get the same results. The spotlight search returned a 182 items while the with Search for field returned 179 items. The Search for field seemed to miss items in the mail boxes. With the Search for search you could display spotlight results in the classic format.
    I did a successful search on my fat32 flash drive.
    Perform the Classic Mac OS search without the spotlight database.
    If you turn off spotlight indexing on a volume and delete the spotlight index, then Mac OS Tiger reverts to the prior Mac OS search facility. In the preferences for spotlight, you let searching continued on the partition.
    Here is what I did:
    I installed the spotless application.
    http://www.fixamac.net/software/spot/
    I use spotless to configure spotlight. Click on disabled indexing then click on delete index files.
    !http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3527/3239751839_c760c46628.jpg?v=0!
    Spotless creates the .Spotlight-V100 directory with the _IndexPolicy.plist and _rules.plist to prevent indexing on the partition.
    I performed the search for files containing "bash-" in the name field.
    !http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3430/3240587902_171d8d46c3.jpg?v=0!
    This is the result of the search without the Spotlight databases:
    bash-backup-inside-bash-copy.html
    bash-backup.html
    bash-batChmod.html
    bash-battery_yellow_4k.html    {labeled with the Yellow attribute}
    bash-copy    {folder}
    bash-folder__green    {folder and labeled with the Green attribute}
    ping_command-bash-copy.html
    Limitations:
    Does not search in Unix hidden folders. That is folders beginning with a period (.) .
    Sometimes will find files beginning with a period (.).
    Does not find Mac OS invisible files.
    Using the special features nulls out the search.
    The Search for field seems to give the same result as using the name field.

    {color:purple}The "Search for" field on the first line is used for spotlight. Avoid using this box.{color}

    You can create a smart folder to take you directly to the search panel. Just click on the Save icon to the right of the window near the top. For readers of books, you should look under smart folders.
