How to place a stamp annotation at a point on the Page

Hello
I currently have code that allows the suer to pick a pick and place it on the page ( a lot like stamper example )
What I want now is to place the annotation on the top right corner of the page
So the use just clicks on a menu button and a stamp appears
if thwe annotation exists there then no stamp is placed
How do I plave an annot at a specific location on a page
Any help appreciated
thanks

OK so am new to adobe pliugin programming so this might seem silly however
PDPageGetCropBox returns a ASFixedRect which is in user space co-ords
WHen I place a stamp I am using a AVDevRect which I obtain by calling AVPageViewDragOutNewRect
The AVDevRect is then used by AVPageViewDeviceRectToPage to get me a location on the page where the annot is placed
I guess my real question is how do I get from the user space co-ords to device co=ords
or may I am saying this all horribly wrong
Isthere a good book on this whole adobe programming thing

                          <p>          Is another treatment option for people who seek  unobtrusive orthodontic treatment. Instead of brackets bonded to the tooth,  dental treatment is mapped out through a series of plastic dental trays  designed to move the teeth in incremental movements over weeks. The clear,  plastic trays are virtually invisible and are difficult to detect. With  Invisalign there is no irritation to the gums and they can be removed for  aesthetic reasons over small periods of time.
                          Invisalign is a solution for patients who are not in need of severe orthodontic treatment and is not a solution for everyone. In some cases, patients may require additional treatment if they have more dental malocclusions. Please schedule a consultation today if you want to find out if you are a candidate for Invisalign.  </p>

          <p> </p>
        </center>
                          <p>For patients who have missing teeth, dental implants could be the best treatment available. Dental implants perform similar to natural teeth. If you have healthy gums and bone, a dental implant can be placed  into your jaw. Once the tissue have grown around the implant, a strong, artificial tooth designed to match your existing teeth can be attached to the dental implant . The replacement tooth will look and function similar to a natural tooth.
    Endodontics (root canal therapy),
    is a treatment for the pulp of a tooth which results in the elimination of infection and protection of the tooth from future microbial invasion
    Common reasons for Root Canal therapy  include:
    - Decay has reached the nerve,
    - A cracked or chipped  tooth can cause the need for a root canal if the crack exposes a nerve
    -  trauma causes the nerve to separate from the tooth.
    With the removal of nerves and blood supply from the tooth, it is best that the tooth be fitted with a crown which increases the prognosis of the tooth.

                          <center><img src="images/Toothcoloredfilling.jpeg"/></center>
                          <p> </p>
                          <p>The same material used to create porcelain veneers, crowns, and bridges is also being utilized for more common treatments like cavity fillings. because tooth-colored fillings are made from materials similar in texture and color to natural teeth, teeth with white fillings are virtually indistinguishable from surrounding teeth.</p>
                          <h2>Dental Veneers:</h2>
                          <center><img src="images/veeners3.jpeg"/></center>
                          <p> </p>
                          <p>Veneers are thin, artificial tooth shells made from porcelain or tooth colored resin, custom fitted to bond to the front of your existing teeth. Veneers are safe and relatively simple to apply, and they can be used to correct stained, chipped, cracked, misaligned, and discolored teeth.
    Veneers can also add tooth length, width, color and esthetic shape.  Veneers can reshape your smile in as little as two appointments.
    </p>
                          <h2>Crowns:</h2>
                          <center><img src="images/Crowns.jpeg"/></center>
                          <p> </p>
                          <p>Teeth that are badly weakened by decay or trauma may require more treatment than basic fillings. Chipped, cracked, weakened, or decaying teeth can be strengthened with crowns, which cover (cap) the entire tooth.
    Now made with porcelain or other tooth colored material, crowns or bridges can be as pleasing aesthetically as they are functionally.
    </p>
                          <h2>Bridges:</h2>
                          <center>
                            <p><img src="images/Bridges.jpeg"/></p></center>
                            <p>When one or more teeth are missing, the remaining teeth can shift out of their normal position.  Teeth adjacent to the space or from the opposite jaw will often drift or tilt.  These teeth are often more susceptible to decay or gum disease because they are more difficult to clean around.
    All of this shifting and drifting will lead to changes in the bite, which may put stress on the jaws, muscles and teeth.  Ultimately, your ability to chew comfortably and your appearance may be affected.
    A non-removable bridge can restore your teeth to normal function by replacing missing teeth.  It will improve the entire health of your mouth by keeping the surrounding teeth in position and can also help maintain the structure of your face and jaw.</p>

    How do I get my HP Photosmart 7960 to print the page numbers when printing a multi-page project?

    Hi,
    This has most likely nothing to do with the printer but with the program you are using to print. For example Word has a setting for this, so let me know which program and I might be able to check for you.

  • How to place time stamps without creating delays?

    Hi,
    I am measuring signals when the PFIO input is triggered. This occurs at a variable rate, but in the khz range. I need to place a time-stamp every 100ms or so on the measurements, but I am not sure how to do this without creating a 100ms delay in the program.
    Sorry if this question seems a bit basic... I recently took a crash course in Labview to solve the current prob. I am using version 4.1
    Thanks in advance,
    Harry

    The major issue is that the time your timestamp is read is not deterministic for a couple of reasons.
    The timestamp is created at some time before it is added to the start of the array.  The time this occurs, whether before the data acquisition or after, is not determined.  The code is parallel.  In actual practice, it will tend to be about the same offset each time (see second point below), but if you modify the code, this offset could easily change.  Note that LabVIEW 4.1 does execute the items in a diagram in a sequence.  However, you do not have much control over what that sequence is.  It tends to be the order the objects were dropped into the diagram, moderated by data flow constraints.
    You are relying on the OS to give you reliable timing.  Most desktop OSes have a normal jitter of about 10ms, and it could go to seconds in some cases (e.g. a large e-mail arrives).
    Your solution is to use hardware timing.  Set up one of the counters on the MIO board to run freely using one of the internal clocks.  When you read your data, read the timer as well.  You may be able to synchronize this by using a buffer for the data reads and one for the timer.  It has been a long time since I used this type of board, but I think you can set it up to simultaneously acquire both counter and analog data.  You only need the first point of the counter data, which can then be converted to a timestamp based on the clock speed.  You will need to account for rollovers in the counter.

  • How to populate a set of fields multiple time in the page ?

    Hi All,
    JDev Ver : 11.1.1.5
    I have a requirement as follows,
    My page contains 1. Add Button
    2. Five fields.(one input text and four select one choice)
    The fields are like one input text and remaining select one choice. And also these fields contains validations.
    Actions
    On click of add button , I have to show the fields , similarly I have to add one more set of fields in the page below the first set when I click the add button, Like this I will add as many as I need.
    How to achieve this requirement,
    1. Do I need to generate the view objects dynamically from managed bean ?
    2. Do I need to create a custom component ?
    For Time being , I have added 3 set of fields pages and showing one by one. I want to do this dynamically.
    Please let me know the suggestion for this Requirement.
    Thanks,
    Gopinath

    Hi,
    to do this:
    1. reate a managed bean that exposes a HashMap property. The HashMap is of type e.g. Map<Person>
    2. To create a new set of fields, add a new entry to the HashMap and refresh the af:form. The af:form contains and af:forEach that you use
    to iterate as often as you have entries in the HashMap. Each text field you bind to #{bean.HashMapProperty['key'].attribute}, for example
    #{bean.HashMapProperty['key'].FirstName}
    #{bean.HashMapProperty['key'].LastName}
    #{bean.HashMapProperty['key'].EmployeeId}
    3. When the user updates a field, the HashMap is updated based on the "key"
    4. The managed bean should be in viewScope and referenced from the field's value property

  • How do I extend (i.e. add more points to the end of) a Bezier path?

    What's the easiest way of making a Bezier path longer by adding more points to the end? I can do it by moving the end point to where I want the new end to be using the Direct Select tool, then using the Add Point tool to replace the old end point and then add the new points I want between the old end point and the new end point. But it's very tedious and there must surely be a better way. I just want to continue adding points like I did when I was creating the path in the first place.
    I'm using CS2, so I need some technique that works with this version.
    Thanks - Rowan

    Rowan,
    You can just use the Pen Tool again and Click, or ClickDrag from, the end Anchor Point.
    The result will depend on the combination of the ways the point was made when ending and starting again:
    Click/Click > normal corner point,
    Click/ClickDrag > corner point with Handle on new segment,
    ClickDrag/Click > corner point with Handle on old segment,
    ClickDrag/ClickDrag > smooth point with (probably different length but parallel) Handles on both segments.
    You may try out the combinations quickly and see it happen, just hitting the P key to start anew.

    How do you send more than one document from the pages app on an iPad?

    This is entirely frustrating and I have yet to find an answer for this question even though people have been asking it on the internet for over a year!

  • How to place a link to a .crt file in the HTML code?

    Hello,
    I followed the 10 famous steps for the creation of a self-signed applet. My problem is at step 10:
    "Place a link to the .crt file (created in step 4) in the HTML-File.
    This .crt file has to be opened by the browser and has to be set to
    trusted,
    as the root CA for testing is not known to the browser."
    I do not know how to modify the HTML code.
    Here is a simplified version of my file without the HTML converter facility
    <APPLET CODE = "mydirectory.MyApplet" ARCHIVE="tst.jar" width=960 height=580>
    </APPLET>
    The archive tst.jar was signed following the procedure of the 10 steps without problems. My trouble is that I cannot write a file in my hard disk.
    Thanks in advance

  • How to read time stamps from a spreadsheet and calculate the difference between consecutive time stamps?

    Hi,
    I am new to Labview. This question might be a joke to some of you here, but any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a spreadsheet with time stamps and power outputs from a generator. I am supposed to calculate the difference between consecutive time stamps, which will act as a delay for the next power output update that needs to be sent. For example, lets say that I have to following data:
    Time Stamp                    Power Output
    11:00:00 AM                       3kW
    11:00:02 AM                       2.9kW
    11:00:04 AM                       3.2kW
    11:00:06 AM                       3.1kW
    The above data doesn't make any sense, but it is just for the purpose of this question.
    So, I have to read 11:00:00 AM and 3kW initially - 3kW is the initial request that is sent. Then I have to
