How to populate field XBLNR_ALT in table BKPF through BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST

I have a requirement to populate BKPF-XBLNR_ALT field through my program which is using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST to create accounting document. But the header structure 'DOCUMENTHEADER' has no field which can be used for this purpose. How can i solve this problem?

I can not find BTE RWBAPI01 in my system. Can you suggest what should i do?
I tried using BTE 00001120. here I populated T_BKPF-XBLNR_ALT with desired value but after complete execution BKPF-XBLNR_ALT is still empty.

I have created <dyn_table> using code below.

In my ALV report I am getting the final layout properly but I am unable to move values to corresponding fields in the final layout shown.Please let me know how to populate these fields from different tables.
I tried this way but its not working.

You have to assign each field to field symbol and then assign the value to that field symbol and asssign that field symbol to workarea field symbol.

How to populate fields "DocEntry" and "DocNum" in UDT? Those are not UDF.

I created a UDT with document type. When I populate the data, I don't know how to populate fields "DocEntry" and "DocNum". Those are not UDF. Here is my coding. Can somebody help me out?

Currently versions of the SDK (SBO2005A SP01, SBO2007A, SBO2005B, SBO2007B) does not support Data Support of UDO-tabeles using the DI-API... That means that you can only add data to such tables using the GUI,,,
This is currently a huge problem and the number one DI-API Development Request. The status with SAP is that this will become part of the SDK in SAP Business One 8.8 (the next major release), but 8.8 does not yet have a shipment date (My guess is that it will be 2009 before we even see it in rampup)...
I know some people have experimented with writing direct SQL to such tables and know it can be done, but be aware that SAP does NOT support it!... Personally I've never done it for that reason althoug it would have been nice to do if some situations...

Hi,
I understand that you had created a Ztable and when user enters USER ID, Username should automatically get populated into that field.
You cfan achive this by creating an ew module.
In PAI module at Chain and ENdchain create a new module. ex : Module Cust.
Place a breakpoint and then try to execute it. If the cursor is triggering it then you can place a pice of code in that module.
Ex :
types : begin of ty_usr,
                  USERID
                   USERNAME
            end of ty_usr.
data : t_usr type standard table of ty_usr,
          wa_usr type ty_usr.
   Select USERID
              USER NAME
              from XYZ table
              into table t_USR
              where USERID = INPUT field (UserId) filled by the user in that table.
         Then you can populate the t_usr-USERNAME into the Field of the Ztable.
          In this way, if the user just put the User id and press enter it will automatically populate the Usrename into the Field.
This will fix the issue.

We are migrating the data from one oracle instance to another oracle instance which are in same version of Oralce Applications 11.5.10.2. As a part of migration can anybody let me know how to populate data in "People Group Key Flexfiled" (PAY_PEOPLE_GROUPS table), ideally I will create or update employee records from the source instance to destination instance, so while creating or updating the employee records in can pass people_group_id while calling to the assignment api but my question here is before passing group id to the api i should have the data populated in PAY_PEOPLE_GROUPS TABLE so that i can fetch the group id as per the combination and pass it in to the api.. please suggest...

Thanks for your information! by any chance do you have any sample code which will create/update assignments with People Group Flexfield; when i check "hr_assignment_api.update_emp_asg_criteria" it only has parameter to pass people group id and not having segments parameters to pass individual segments.

Try this way:
If both the type of internal tables are same then you can directly assign dynamic internal table to static internal table.
itab = <itab>.
Suppose you have field symbol internal table <itab> which is different in structure from ITAB.
Now, you can create <wa> as follow:
FIELD-SYMBOLS <wa>.
DATA wa TYPE REF TO DATA.
CREATE DATA wa TYPE LINE OF <itab>.
ASSIGN wa->* to <wa>.
This way your work area is read.
Using [ASSIGN COMPONENT|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/fc/eb3923358411d1829f0000e829fbfe/content.htm] syntax you can read required component of <wa>.
Finally you can use that value to load static internal table.

You can select the field which field name and table you want to know, just press F1 button, one more window will open. There you need to select the technical information icon, then you will get the required field name and its table.

now u have legacy data. now u want to do upload this data from legacy to r/3 by using one sap transaction. yes ok na..
first of all u want to know the data is relevant to the which transaction...
without knowing the transaction u cant trasfer the data..
then open transaction put cursor on i/p field and click on f1
and find out the field name & table..
this is one method to find the field name and table name.

It looks like a code, I'm not sure, but try TBSL table and match the FAUS1 field to figure out what element does it refer to.

But "a.changed" is not a field in GNMT_CUSTOMER_MASTER_CHG. what i am doing in this procedure is i am collecting bulck data and validating field by field from GNMT_CUSTOMER_MASTER_CHG with GNMT_CUSTOMER_MASTER table as their structure is same.. if v_name is not same as v_name_chg then i am setting changed flag to "Y" changed is "changed dbms_sql.varchar2_table" and updating GNMT_CUSTOMER_MASTER in bluck where changed flag ='Y'...

But my requirement is that I dont want all the fields of the table YAPOPLN.My output contains only 2 fields of the table YAPOPLN,which contains total 4 fields.According to my requirement only 2 fields will be getting into one parameter PARAM(this is function module parameter,which is from ALV classes) from the user entered output,which contains only 2 fields.So the above code is not working properly because wa_itab contains 4 fields and giving short dump.
If I am declaring the internal table with the required fields(only 2 fields) and referring that internal table to field symbol <FS>
Data : BEGIN OF ITAB1 OCCURS 0,
         FIELD1 LIKE YAPOPLN-FIELD1,
         FIELD2 LIKE YAPOPLN-FIELD2,
         END OF ITAB1.
field-symbol : <fs> LIKE ITAB1 OR <FS> TYPE ANY.
DATA :WA_ITAB1 LIKE LINE OF ITAB1.
ASSIGN PARAM TO <FS>
LOOP AT <FS> INTO WA_ITAB.
WRITE:/ 'ABC'.
ENDLOOP.
But when I am compiling this code i am getting the below error.I am gettting the same below error when even <FS> is also declared as <FS> TYPE ANY.
.'FS' is not an internal table or defined in TABLES.
Can anyone help me in this regard?

Try this way:
If both the type of internal tables are same then you can directly assign dynamic internal table to static internal table.
itab = <itab>.
Suppose you have field symbol internal table <itab> which is different in structure from ITAB.
Now, you can create <wa> as follow:
FIELD-SYMBOLS <wa>.
DATA wa TYPE REF TO DATA.
CREATE DATA wa TYPE LINE OF <itab>.
ASSIGN wa->* to <wa>.
This way your work area is read.
Using [ASSIGN COMPONENT|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/fc/eb3923358411d1829f0000e829fbfe/content.htm] syntax you can read required component of <wa>.
Finally you can use that value to load static internal table.

Adding a field to a table replicated through SLT

We have a table (VBRP) that is currently replicated to HANA from ECC through SLT. Currently it has more than 2 billion entries in HANA. Now there is a business requirement to add one more field to the table in HANA.
If the table is small, we can easily update the filter settings in SLT and then stop/start replication in SLT which should recreate the table in HANA with the additional field and do the full data initialization.
But in case of big table, doing a data initialization again will take long time. Is there a way to do it without doing full data initialization again?

How to populate PO Open Interface table to create encumbrances?

We want to bring in our POs from an external system, and we want them in an "approved" status. Is there any way to bring in the data, and "batch approve" them, and do the funds checking/encumbrance piece as well? There are some fields in the interface staging tables that appear to be encumbrance-related, but I can find no reference anywhere as to how these should be populated.

Sorry to be confusing!
My last post was based on some documentation we found stating that Standard PO's could now be imported in an Approved status. When you enter a PO, the Approval screen has the checkbox that asks the user if they want to create encumbering entries. The user either checks it (for yes) or not (for no). If you import the PO's as already approved, then how is that handled? Is there some flag in the interface tables that we are supposed to populate? There is no documentation that provides any details on this...at all. At least not that we have found.

I am starting with Adobe PDF and this things look really good. In my form I am able to add a instance in order to get a new row. Pretty cool, almost phantastic
After this first expressions the light got darker and the first questions occour. Maybe some of you can help me bringing some light into this darkness.
I have a table row with different fields. Now I would like to populate this fields (as combobox). I am doing it with a loop and $.additem(xy).
Regarding this comes the first question. Is this the correct doing or is it possible to bind my values to the field as a context? How is the "normal" way to handle the comboBoxes?
After the first value is set I would like to filter the possible values of a second combobox depending on the value of the first combobox. I would do this with the same loop like before but this time with an if-clause or is there a better "standard"/"best practice" to do so?
I have something like the following data to access. There is an context node and under this context node (data) with * items, I have the task and the description.
data[*].task
data[*].description
Is it possible to show the description in the combobox-dropdown and when the value is selected to put the task in the field?

Yes, Possible for context binding from WDA with Adobe form
1. Place the Interactive form UI Element in Layout of the Main view in WDA.
2. Create one root context in WDA
3. Create a two context inside of the root context, one for Master combo box and another one is Child Combo box.
4. Create child combo box is inner context of the Master Combo box. Master and child context are having two attributes like id, value.
5. Write a Supply function for the both combo box (for load values)
6. Write a Coding in child supply function for display values of the second combo box based on selecting the first combo box value.
7. Give Adobe form name in template source property of the UI element. It ask context, set the previous created context to that. Now context is bounded with Adobe form and WDA.
8. Goto the Tcode SFP, open the adobe form
9. Place the two combo box inside the form.
10. Bind the values to combo box from Data view.
11. Select the one combo box, go to the object tab, there choose the binding tab. There you see Specify Item Values, Click the link assign item text and value as $ ( it represent loading values to the combo box.) repeat for second combo box also.
12. Save and Activate the Application.
