How to populate the selected row details of table in the next view?

hi,
Im having a table, on selecting a particular row of a table by clicking on a radio button. i need that row details to be passed on(populated) to the next view when i navigate to that view by clicking on a button?

Hi Suresh,
Your scenario is simple. Just follow the ex as shown below
(Assuming you want default selection view provided by table itself.)
1>Create 2 views (Ex:A and B)
2>Create a Context with a node and attributes(For Ex:Person as node and Fname and Last Name as attributes
2>In A view create a table with F name and L Name(map to context as well) and a action button to navigate to B view when you selected a particualr row o.k
3>In B view, create a TextView with mapping to LastName(or all the data if you want from input selection) from the context
If you want you can add back action button from B view to A view for easy navigation.
4>Execute the application and select any row in the table appeared, press next action button,you can see that the selected row details will be shown in second(B) view.
If you do the above example, I think you can easily find the solution for navigation issue.. try it out.

Now, my problem is how to display the contents of all the selected rows in a popup? I get the details of only one row when I launch the popup.

Hi,
Not confident if this works or not but just try it...
1. create a ViewLink between the same view Object.
The source and destination wil be the same Vo and the source and destination attribute will be the pk of both Vos.
2. Update the changes in Appln Module.
Open the AM and in DataModel tab .
select the Same VO from which you created table in the DataModel Listbox and select the VL in the "Avaible View Objects" List Box. Add under it(selected vo in datamodel listbox).
3. Refresh DataControl accordion.
4. in your jsff page drag and drop the child vo as a table..
See if it works

How to data from selected row of a TABLE

I have a table displaying some PO order details. In the last column , I have a field with element Link to Action . My requirement is , that when I click on the link to action column of specific row , I want to get the data present( specifically the the data present on the first column which is PO number) i that specific row.

If you want to get Selected row data, you can use get_selected_elements
Try this example code.. this gives you selected records into one table..

How to capture a selected row in a table control in screen

Hello,
    I have a table in a screen and hv data in it also from a table.Now i want if a user selects a row n clicks a display button , i should display the same fields in empty text fields created outside the table on the same screen.
Rite now i m lookin for single selection but any help on multiple selection is also welcomed.
I have given a line-selection element name as 'LSELECT1' to the table in screen painter n have declared a variable also with the same name of type C(1) in my abap prog.But dont know wat to write in PAI now to caputure the selected row.

Use ALV to display your table records from FM 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'.
In your internal table add a field with char1. This will show you the selected records by 'X' or ' '. Use this field in your layout like g_layout-box_fieldname = 'CHK'.
Here i used CHK TYPE CHAR1 added to internal table to display. Now ur ALV will be showing u a column to select records. U can select multiple records also. Evry selected record will reflect into internal table by modifying value of CHK as 'X'. Add button to ALV by creating PF-STATUS and add code its behavior when executed.

How to populate the next screen based on the previous screen table control

Hi Experts,
Is this possible to generate the next screen values based on the table control values in previous screen.
My Requirement is
In my First screen i m having 5-7 regional offices in table control and also amount field for each regional offices.(amount field is editable)
User has to enter amount field for Regional office..based on the amount field i need to process the next screen. For Ex if user is entering amount for 3 regional offices out of 7 regional offices then i need to get the screen for the 3 regional offices..
Pls suggest me how to do this..

Do you have any button for calling the second screen after entering amount in the first table control screen or you have to call the screen on pressing enter on the table control?
You will have to handle it in the PAI of the table control loop.Get data entered in the table control in your internal table of table control.You can prepare the data passed to the next screen from this internal table. Fill the second screen elements and Use CALL SCREEN XXX. XXX is your second screen no.

I wrote a Labview SUb Vi that uses Report Generation Toolkit that is not loaded on the test stand. I am looking to convert it from Report Generation Vi like New Report, Append Table to Report, Dispose Report. The tunneling through all the report generation Vis seems extensive. Code is attached. I used the Excel Forum to get a lot of great ideas. My code is almost working.
There is a 2-D String Array that represents the String data that I am exporting to the Excel File Sheet 1 - 5.
I am attempting to determine the last populated row in sheet 1 then populate the next row of Sheet 1. Since all 5 sheets are populated every time, I should not have to search every sheet for the last row.
I am getting two row populated on sheet 1 with seeming the same data.
I found an AXExcelWrite2D ArrayWorksheet.vi that I thought would work. I think there is a Table determination that is causing me problems. The link is http://lavag.org/topic/13324-labview-and-excel-activex-or-ado/. The Application Invoke Node has a convert formula with "FromReferenceStyle" with R1C1 Attached to it. I am not sure what this function is doing. When I try to bring the function help up, there is a missing file.
I am including both the new active x vi and the report generation vi. Report Generation VI works.
I would appreciate any assistance I can get on this.

Use code tags.
Don't mix GUI and JDBC together. Split them out into separate classes.
You have a good start, but you will need to loop through your resultset and also pull the ResultSet metaData for you column headings

How to set focus on a input field in a selected row of a table?

In a previous discussion (http://scn.sap.com/thread/3564789) I asked how to access an input (sap.m.Input) field of a selected row in a table. In the answer that was supplied I was shown how to get the items of the table. Then using the selected index to get the selected item get the cells. Then I could set editable on the proper cell(s). This worked fine.
Now I need to set the focus on one of the fields. I tried something like this:
            var oNewLink = table.getSelectedItem();
            var oNewLinkName = oNewLink.getCells()[1];
            oNewLinkName.focus();
But this doesn't seem to work.
I have searched through other discussions and have seen this technique for putting focus on a field if you have its ID:
sap.ui.getCore().byId(id_of_the_input_field).$().focus();
In my case though I do not have an ID since the row and its cells are generated. How can I set focus on the cell of a certain row in a table?

Hello Venkatesh. Yes that code does work. First I tried it on a table cell that was already rendered and it did work. The next time I tried it on a table row that was being added and it did not work there. So I added an on after rendering function for the table and added that code there. That did not work until I added a delay (timeout) to do a context switch before calling the focus and that worked.
Once last thing though sometimes when I call focus on an input field (actually in a table row cell) if the field has text in it already the flashing cursor is at the beginning of the text and other times it is at the end of the text (which is the desired way). It depends on where I click in the row. Is there anyway to make sure the flashing cursor is at the end of the text when the focus is applied to a field that contains text?

hi ravi,
here is one example how to enhance.
Goto RSA6- select the 0Material.- Click on Enhance extract structure-> it will take u to the next screen there u need to create the field material group1. and append it to 0Material.
Goback to RSA6-- RC on 0material-- it will take you to customer version edit screen- here unchk the Hide and Field only known in exit options n save it.
Next Go back to RSA6-- 0material- click on Function enhancement it will take you to CMOD Screen( here we need to enter the project name and click create if not created on click display)
In the next screen we find the function exits Like EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 FOR T DATA AND EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002 FRO Master Data,_003 for Text n _004 for Hierarchies.
select the appropriate function exit and double clikc on it. It will take you to Function builder screen.
D Click on defn of Include ZXRSAU01. it will take you to abap editor screen.
here u need to include the code for the enhanced fields n also write the code to populate the dat for that particular field.
save it and avtivate the code.

According to my requirement, Drop down has to be populated in a form, on selecting an element in the first drop down list, corresponding second drop down values has to be loaded dynamically.
I am using the ReferenceData file, which consists of the Dropdown list values in the form of Key,Value pair. I can able to populate one drop down,but I don't know how to populate the second dropdown dynamically.

I am doing one enhancement in QM.I have added one custom screen to notification transaction ( QM01/QM02/QM03) transaction tab strip control using the enhancement QQMA0001.The Details of the calling and called screens as shown bellow

I have developed the Custom Screen in screen 0101 and called in PBO of program SAPLIQS0 7790 screen.
The Screen in calling perfectly .The Custom screen having different fields like Raw cost, Intermediate cost, Finished cost, SCAR Cost and Sales Order Cost Etc... These fields are out put filed types. No input for these screens.. I have few doubts regarding this

As your screen fields should be global variables in SAPLXQQM, you may initialize them by implementing function module EXIT_SAPMIWO0_008 which also belongs to SAPLXQQM (Customer Exit: Transfer Notification Data to User Screen)

How to populate the time component of a cube?

We have a question regarding how to populate the time component of a cube. Let me explain:
We are using OWB 10gR2. We have created a cube with several dimensions. We are now building the mapping to load the cube. The cube operator has two columns for every dimension (e.g., "customer" and "customer_id" for the "customer" dimension).
We understand that, in this case, "customer_id" stands for the dimension business key, so we create an arrow from the business key in the source table to the "customer_id" column in the cube operator.
So far so good. The mapping works all right, and the cube is loaded correctly.
Now we need to do the same for the time dimension. We have already created the time dimension and we have loaded it. We have also included it in the cube, so now we have two new columns in it: "time_day_code" and "time", both NUMBER data type.
We have the "sale_date" column (DATE data type), in the source system and, of course, now we want to populate the date column in the cube. We suppose that, somehow, we have to translate the "sale_date" field into the numeric column of the surrogate key of the time dimension. How should do we do this? I suppose that OWB must do the translation for us, just as it does for the other dimensions, but how? We have been looking into the manuals, and we have found no explanation on how to go about this.
Any help would be appreciated.

You are right this should have been in the manuals, checked and there is only a brief mention (Using a Time Dimension in a Cube Mapping section)
The identifier format should have been documented for each level and will involve creating the formatted attribute for input to the cube operator's time dimension reference attribute.
The time dimension business keys are stored as follows;
Day Level - YYYYMMDD
Month Level - YYYYMM
Week Level - YYYYWW
Quarter - YYYYQ
Year - YYYY
If you have a source that has a SQL date datatype for example and want to construct the key for a cube's time dimension at the day level something like the following expression can be used to construct the time reference from a SQL date...
to_number(to_char( time_key, 'YYYYMMDD'))
The result of this expression can be used as input to the cube's time dimension attribute.
