How to prepopulate value in process form

Hi,
I want to pre populate values in forms while updating the data.Test case provided below.
1. create a user with five roles(all are lookup values) .
2.While updting I want to see existing lookup values in process form.
3.I can update it and save it.

My requiremrnt is after creating user I have few field selected. While user is requesing for midifying resource , user want to see the selected values on the form.For the same I may need to customize existing jsp's.I want to know what is the process for achieving the same.

To use parameters, create a parameterlist with the named parameters

An alternative is the usage of globals:

DEFAULT_VALUE(NULL, 'GLOBAL.MYPARAM');

...The advantage of gloabls is that they can also return values back to the calling form, which is not possible using parameters

How to delete columns from process form table

hi,
I have a process form UD_FN_USR. I created one column userid with type long and later the requirement got changed and I need to change the type to string.I am able to delete the column from design console but in the table the column exits so that I coulnt create the column with same name as type string , its tellling same column name exits with different datatype in current version or previous versions.can anybody please tell me how to solve this issue

How to access values in process request

Hi guys,
Wondering if some one could shed some light on the process of getting values in PR. The situation is that i have linked two pages and both have dateFrom and dateTo fields, the values of the fields are being copied across to the other page automatically. I would like to understand how.
And the other is How is, how to access those values in Process Request. I want to use those dates as criteria for populating data when the user first opens the page.
Any insight would be highly appreciated

If you have linked the pages, you would know how the values from one page is being transferred to the other page, this cannot happen automatically, you either must have 1. Passed them through URL
2. Passed them through Session
3. Have the same VO in both the pages and retaining the AM from P1 to P2.
4. Requering the DB in P2 after saving the values in P1
There could be number of ways you have done it.
And the other is How is, how to access those values in Process Request. I want to use those dates as criteria for populating data when the user first opens the page.
Depending on how you passed the values from P1 to P2, the method of getting these values in P2 PFR would vary, but in most cases pageContext.getParameter("paramname") should workThanks

How to concatenate values from one form to another form using calculated columns in sharepoint?

Im new to Sharepoint.
I need to know , how to fetch the x1 , x2 values from one form to another form x1, x2 fields, this wants to happen when 2 forms ID fields(Drop down field) are same.
ex:
first module I have 3 fields like, "Marketing ID" , "Company name" , "Vendor name".
second module I have the same related fields like "Marketing ID" , "Company name" , "Vendor name" and some more fields.
now i need to fetch the information from 1st module to 2nd module ( "Company name" , "Vendor name" ) when I select the Marketing Id(Drop down - field)
it should be want to show in Calculated columns.
Can someone make a suggestion on how I can do this.

Calculated Columns can only generate a value from fields of the current item. And only some types of fields (for example, it can't use a lookup column).
Consider using a workflow to accomplish your goal.

i have a table A i want to double a text item and open another form B. then setting values or adding values in it. i want to close the form and open the form A. the values selected in form B. i want to send to the form A.

Hi
To send value to the form A from B, you do this action.
1. Declare a parameter list:
pl_id paramlist;
2. Create the parameter list:
pl_id := create_parameter_list('ParameterLilst_FormA');
3. Add all value to the parameter list.
add_parameter(pl_id, 'variable1', text_parameter, 'valueOfVariable');
4. Open the form B and you send it the parameter list.
open_form('B', activate, session, pl_id);
NOTE: In there form B you might have some parameters having the same name of the variable added to the parameter list:
e.g.: :parameter.variable1

I am very new to ADF Swings need an Help ! . I have generated two forms one in FILTER FORM and another one is DETAILS FORM. Two parameter are defined in Filter Form 1. Name and 2 .Id and values are entered in textbox and combo box .Based on selected record or entered value in FILTER FORM i have to display that matching or filtered records in DETAIL FORM .I working this in ADF Swings . At present i am retrieving and displaying the records from a single table .

How to get value of process variable in another flex form

Hi,
currently we are using Flex 3 for form development in LiveCycle ES workspace.
We have got an "Assign Task" service operation. This service operation has got a process variable defined for "input" and "output".
The service will be called in a flex form. When the process is called a task will be sent to a user.
When the user opens this task another flex form will be opened. All these steps work fine!
How it's possible to get the value of the defined process variable from the first flex form (which starts the process)
to the flex form which will be displayed when the user opens the task?

Solutions:
-The 'proper' way for application specific stuff is to use a properties file, not env vars.
-Use System.getenv(), only works for versions before 1.3
-Use the java command line option '-D'
-Use Runtime.exec(), similar to the way you suggested.
-Use JNI.

How to change values in the form?

Hi guys,
I am working on a small JSP project. I have a form in a page. It has several textboxes getting inputs from the user. In the JSP code, I want to change the value of the textbox based on the some condition in the JSP code:
<form ... action="the same page">
<input type="text name="theTextBox" value="" ...>
<%
if (javaObject.changeTextMethod() == true)
//I want to change the value of the textbox to something else here, I can't say theTextBox.value="whatever"
%>
If I create a form again, I have to write the same code many times. Is there anyway that I can reuse the form code and just change the values of the textbox?

But when I try javascript. It seems in JSP code, the javacript function cannot be seen.

where should I write this command. I have tried the SQL command line. But it says its invalid

One thing I detected here as a bad practice, you blindly issued the command "ALTER SYSTEM ... SCOPE=SPFILE" and later on you asked why you were not able to see the change.
It lets me know that you applied a change without even bothering to find out what it was about. Please make sure next time you blindly apply a command this doesn't start with "DROP ...." or you may face a hard time.

Hi. I have a form that has several database values and a checkbox item, is_selected, as a non-database item. I want to be able to save the values/records that are checked and be able to pass them to a new form. I know that I'll probably have more than 20 records that consists of many fields. Look into the Forms help, chapter "Creating and Passing Parameter Lists".
You have to create a record group, fill the records with your data and pass the record group to the called form.
Another method would be a database package containing a "global" pl/sql table.

Process form in OIM11g R2

Is the option to see the process form values for a resource object provisioned to an user not available in OIM11g R2 ?
If so , how can we see the process form values for each Application instance provisioned to an user ?

As far as I know when you click on the app instance provisioned to an user in resource profile only app instance form values are displayed.You will not be able to find the process form values. To know the values I used to query the database table associated with the process form. R2 added the Application Instance layer (including form) and thus the Process Form is NEVER displayed
