How to preserve sessionID cookie in OSB for next service call

Hi all,
We have a requirement that we called to our partner service by passing the session ID.
The requirement is, we need to call “LoginStatus” operation, in which we passed the session ID cookie along with the http header, and the partner will let us know if the session is still active.
If it is still active, then we can invoke other operations by using the session id.
If the session is not active, then, we will have to login again, get the new session id, and use that to call subsequence processes.
Our partner allows us to login only certain numbers a day (say no more than 10 times), but we need to call to the service more than couple of hundreds a day.
We are calling to our partner service using OSB. I have created business and proxy services to call to partner service, and test it from the OSB test console by manually entering the session cookie from the response of the login process, in the subsequence processes, and it is working fine. My question is how can I preserve the session ID from the Login response to be able to use in subsequent request without manual intervention.

How to create/assign Multiple UOM's for a Service

How do i create more than ONE, "Unit of Measures - for a perticular Service" in a Product Category/Group ?
AC01/AC02/AC03 would allow me to add "BASE UOM", but cant add more than one UOM for that service.
Can we have one-to-many relation between Services & UOM ? if not, how is it done in SRM-MM ??

How do I get a new value for the service name field and update it in Connection Properties?

I am running Windows Vista. I just upgraded to Firefox 4. When I try to log on to the internet, it tells me the proxy server is refusing connections. A diagnostic reported Error 815 and said the remote server is not responding because there is an invalid value for the "Service Name" field. It said to get a new value and update it in Connection Properties. How do I do this?

When you create a new film script, the first page you see is a title page.
The page after this title page is the one where you generally type in your scenes.
It looks like you are facing some issue and not able to delete any text.

You can save this script to disk by using option 'File -> Save to disk'. This will create a '.stdoc' file on your system.

THIS IS sandipan. I am very new in this field . My requirement is when i am going to me2s t.code. then i am giving purchasing group , plant , Service Number as input. then it showing purchase doc . , item , porg , matl... , plant , crcy . It's ok. but after that when i am clicking purchase order it displays Purchase order for external services : overview screen in a hiarirchical view and no download option is available here. I need to export the data of that screen to a excel sheet . how Is it possible ? please help me ...

T165A is used for 'Services Pricing'.
Please note that for Services PO, you will have two pricing schema.
1) At PO-Item Level : RM0000 (or whatever you define in schema determination in Purchasing ->Conditions IMG and assign in your vendor master)
2) At service line level : Based on settings in T165A.
If you check in Services level conditions screen and click on Analysis, you will find that ZS0001 is triggered.

How can Verizon charge twice as much for less service?

I have 4 phones, two of which have data plans. Unlimited Text and 1400 minutes, of which only about 700 are used. My bill used to be about $120 a month. Ever since I got a new phone, I actually am getting LESS from Verizon. I went from Unlimited data (no longer offered) to 2GB data on one of my phones. Nothing else has changed. My bill is now in excess of $270 a month. That was the "solution" offered by the employee at the Verizon store. $650 is a lot of money to get out of my contract with Verizon, but that is a pittance compared to what I'll be gouged for over the next two years. Whatever happened to "you get what you pay for"?

It appears as if there is something fishy with this story.
1400 minutes on the Family Share Talk & Text plan. 2 smartphones(2 GB and unlimited data on the 2 phones) and 2 basic phones. There is NO WAY you could only be paying $122.47/month. The plan you have quoted would be higher than that. This is the EXACT plan I had prior to switching to Share Everything and with my 22% service discount and 20% data discount on 1 unlimited data plan, my bill was CONSIDERABLY higher than $122.47/month.
Breakdown of charges:
Calling plan with 1 line of service = $110
3 additional lines @ $9.99/line = $29.97
2 unlimited data plans @ $29.99/line = $59.98
Total = $199.95
22% discount on service = $24.20
20% discount on 1 data plan = $6.00
Total discount = $30.20
Total bill BEFORE taxes = $169.75
taxes on service plan/primary line $14.98/month
taxes on additional 3 lines $4.37 x 3 = $13.11/month
Total taxes = $28.09/month
Total bill WITH discounts = $197.84/month, without discounts, it would have been more than $30/month higher.
While your taxes MAY be lower, there is NO WAY your bill could have been $122.47/month on that plan.
Either you are unaware which plan you had, you were unaware how much you were paying OR there is more to this story.

How to get the Memory Utilization Data for Cloud Service

If you are using the VSO then you can take a look at azure application insights which is a service hosted on azure which will help you to detect issues, solve problems and continuously improve your web applications.

How to get a Monthly Depreciation Simulation for next fiscal year?

I need a report that give me the depreciation simulation for next fiscal year, but I need it monthly wise. I run report S_ALR_87012936 with report date 31.12.2011 and evaluation period = month.
The report gives the error message AA669 Fiscal year 2011 is already closed in Financial Accounting
I read that this report doesn't work monthly wise for future years. Is there a workarround?

I'm sorry there is only RASIMU02. Note 396974 describes, this is a missing functionality and there is no workaround.
Reports on derived depreciation areas that do not post any values to the
general ledger are allowed with the evaluation period year. An
evaluation using month, quarter or half-year is not supported.
In general, the depreciation forecasted by monthly in report RASIMU02 are only for depreciation area which posts depreciation to GL. For non-GL posting area, we recommend you simulate the depreciation
in 'fiscal year' mode. if you simulate the depreciation
Basically RASIMU02 is NOT designed to provide period simulation for these non posting areas. This because RASIMU02 uses for periods which have been posted already the created ANLP. But ANLP´s are not created for non-posting areas. So in these periods where a depreciation run had been executed already, RASIMU02 will not show
values.

from our ECC system to our PI 7.1 and did first tests.
I'm getting response to my requests from the ECC system.
But in the response, there are only the production order IDs for the requested work centre.
I suppose that the BAdI PORD_SE_PRODUCTIONORDERSWQR, mentioned in service description, has to be activated for the service in the ECC system, to get all the other optional production order elements, defined in the service response message type.
Am I right?
Which steps in the ECC backend are neccessary to activate a BAdI for an enterprise service?

How to see http response from an axis web service call (Eclipse)

I would like to see the raw http response which is returned from web service calls. I have a dynamic web project in Eclipse which uses a local instance of Tomcat 6. I'm using all of the default setting for a top-down web service generated from a WSDL file. I've generated the client using the built-in "generate client" using default settings.
I've tried using the Eclipse plugin TCP/IP monitor and apache's TCPMON, but I am only able to see the http request, not the http response returned from the web server I am querying.
I've seen some sparse documentation outlining how to use logging handlers and a client-config.wsdd file, but I haven't been able to get that working.
So to recap, I'm looking for a way to view raw http responses using a web service client and server generated from a WSDL file in eclipse. I don't mind creating a new project using different code-generating libraries if someone has an easy way to do this using a different configuration.

How to retrieve error message(s) after failed web service call

I tried to create an item using the web service ego_item_pub.process_item and it worked ok (version 12.1.1). Sending the same request again, I got an error which should be ok since the item id already exists. The thing is, that I only get an "E" as return status:
<X_RETURN_STATUS>E</X_RETURN_STATUS>
<X_MSG_COUNT>1</X_MSG_COUNT>
As described in the integration repository, there should be a parameter called msg_data which should contain the message if there is exactly 1 message, but I cannot find it.
So, I tried to get the message using fnd_message.get, but the response of my web service call is:
AuthorizationFailure : User not authorized to execute service. (I use sysadmin/sysadmin as ws security user).
I use the following grant details:
All Users Direct GLOBAL Revoke Action Enabled
SYSADMIN SYSADMIN Direct USER
What else can I do or how can I retrieve error messages for a failed web service call?

System processes needed for web service call

Hi experts,
one theoretical question: how about the system processes needed for a web service call? If have created a test service that does nothing except to wait for 10 seconds. When I call it from outside, no extra process is busy (as seen in trx SM50). Is it possible that one web service call (from outside -> SAP machine) does not need a DIA or BTC process on SAP machine?

Of course a web service needs a dialog workprocess to run.
But if you used the "wait" abap instruction, it may be that this instruction frees the work process ?

HTTP Adaptor for RESTful service calls -- Proxy Settings?

Hi Guys,
I have successfully configured an HTTP Adaptor on my Access Server, imported a REST service function, set up DTDs etc etc all ok.
Now, when it comes to calling this function in a data-flow, the run of the job just times out while calling the function. I have tried this via another route and this time-out occured their too until I entered my proxy server login details.
I am assuming I need to do this for the HTTP Adaptor but there is no parameter/setting around for me to do this.
Could you please tell me how I can get my proxy settings in place for the HTTP call? If the solution involves the "axis2" file, please could you give me clear/step-by-step instructions on how to use this and deploy it as that area is all new to me.

you can set the proxy server details in the Additional JVM Arguments of the HTTP Adapter Configuration using the following syntax. Add this to existing memory setting args
-Dhttp.proxyHost=<enter proxyserver name> -Dhttp.proxyPort=<enter proxy port>
have no idea how to specify the credentials, not sure if that can be done using Java arguments, if you are on windows try running the Jobservice under named user, and see if it works
