How to prevent click through?
Basically I have mulitple buttons on the stage. Every button on the stage is an instance of the same component. When one of the buttons is pushed, that component imports an MC from the library to the stage (popup window). It then creates a text box and imports text into the box based on the XML settings typed in that components component inspector. The problem I keep running into is that I can still push the other component buttons through the mc that was imported to the stage.
I've tried the old way of fixing it. ie. make a button the size of the popup window and put it behine the window. This doesn't work.
I've tried using
stage.mouseChildren = false;
but that turns all the clicks off. Even the one that the user needs to close the popup window. I'm at a loss now. Any help you can give is much appreciated.
I'm not sure why. But adding a button behind it isn't working for me. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that all the buttons are components or maybe because all their instances of the same component. I don't know.
Is there a way the components can speak to eachother? Maybe I can set a global boolean value. When a button is clicked it sets it to true. Then if another button is clicked it checks to see if its true or false. It won't open if its true.
I don't know.

How to track click throughs in an a pdf document?
I am working on an online magazine created using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. The document is made in Indesign CS4 and converted to a pdf for reading online or downloading. It's important to us to be able to track click throughs to advertisers urls. I've been told by both Adobe tech support and my hosting provider that it can't be done. Is there another product or service which would allow us to do track these click throughs?
Any help is greatly appreciated.Clicking on a link in a PDF is not different from clicking a link in a browser. In both cases, a URL is launched.
In this URL you can include the parameters your web-server needs in order to record the action.
You can even add an extra parameter to tell you what the source of the click was, another web-page or a PDF. -
How can u click through images one by one
Hello there, I am designing my site and would like to have a gallery of images that can be view one image at a time. I want to place arrows on either side and numbers beneath to help navigate the user. I know there are slideshows out there but I've not found one right. Am I asking for the impossible? Thought there would be a Way of layering or defining a folder to cycle through my images. Is there someone out there that can help? Thank you Nicola

I have a requirement for making material description as non mandetory in change request view of mdg material screen.
I have done that using field usage in get data method of feeder classes, but still message is displaying.
This message 'Material description is mandatory is displaying with check action only, but not with save or submit after i anhance field property as not mandetory.

In IMG activity "Configure Properties of Change Request Step", you can completely deactivate the reuse area checks (but will then loose all other checks of the backend business logic as well).
You can also set the error severity of the checks from Error to Warning (per CR type, not per check).
Or you provide a default value for the material description, e.g. by implementing the BAdI USMD_RULE_SERVICE.

Fireworks CS5 click-through prototype - how to organize?
In Fireworks CS5 I'm trying to organize a click-through prototype, but I can't seem to get it to work as intended. I have the following Pages:
Master page
Page 1
Page 2
On the Master page I have (apart from a static background image) two instances of the same button Symbol to make a global navigation. One button is linked to Page 1 and the other to Page 2. The button Symbol has a certain look for the two states: Over (hover) and Down (click) states.
If I export the pages as a html click-through prototype, the two buttons work as expected when I start navigating from the Master page, apart from one thing:
The Down states aren't shown on click and they aren't persisted (for you-are-here indicators) when either Page 1 or Page 2 is loaded.
So my question(s) is/are:
What am doing wrong/have I misunderstood? / How can I organize my prototype differently to make sure the clicked state of the buttons are shown and persisted as I navigate through the prototype?I can reproduce the issue and have notified the Fireworks Dev team along with supplying them with my sample. In the meantime, one workaround is to place a static graphic, representing your down states, on the appropriate pages.
Alternatively, do not use button symbols. Rather, place the graphic for each state on an actual state in the Master page, then apply a slice and add a Navbar behavior. It's a bit more work and not as elegant as the button symbol, but it does work. Make sure to add the same number of (blank) states to your other pages.
Let me know if you need specific steps.

How to prevent JFileChooser automatically changing to parent directory?
When you show only directories, and click on the dir icons to navigate, and then dont select anything and click OK, it automatically 'cd's to the parent folder.
My application is using the JFileChooser to let the user navigate through folders and certain details of 'foo' files in that folder are displayed in another panel.
So we dont want the chooser automatically changing dir to parent when OK is clicked. How to prevent this behavior?
I considered extending the chooser and looked at the Swing source code but it is hard to tell where the change dir is happening.

How to prevent print head clog up and B200 Error ?
I just went through a horrid time getting rid of a B200 error due to the printer head clog up. I had to soak the head for at least one hour in a solution of warm water and a bit of oxy clean to get the printer to work again. I almost gave up and was at the point of buying a new printer .
My question is : How to prevent this from happening again especially during 2 to 3 week vacations when the printer is turned off?

How to prevent iTunes for Windows from "Updating iTunes Library"?
My library is on a NAS and managed by iTunes on a Mac. I can connect from wife's Windows laptop using iTunes for Windows but every time I do, it Updates iTunes Library. Next time I log in from my Mac it Updates iTunes Library in return. It appears I'm experiencing "Update Wars" between the Mac and Windows versions of iTunes. I would like to allow my wife to stream iTunes songs to her new laptop but I don't want any updates from this source... prefer to manage the library from my Mac and not allow Windows to do any thing other than listen to existing playlists.

Under Edit > Preferences > Advanced make sure the media folder is correctly pointed at the media folder on the NAS. If not correct, close iTunes, wait a few moments, then open iTunes again.
Close iTunes on the PC. Do not open iTunes on the Mac.
Copy the library files, iTunes Library.itl, iTunes Library Extras.itdb, iTunes Library Genius.itdb, sentinel and the folder Album Artwork into an empty iTunes folder on the PC, for example C:\iTunes.
Click the icon to start iTunes and immediately press and hold down SHIFT. Keep holding until prompted to choose or create a library. Click choose and browse to the copied .itl file, e.g. C:\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl
The library should now work properly on the PC, however check the setting for the media folder. If needs be correct, close iTunes and reopen.
Open iTunes on the Mac. It will update again, but that should be last time.

The value change using a signaling property only works if you actually have an event assigned to that value change. You currently don't!
I am not sure why you complicate things with the occurrence. You don't need it. (the wait for occurence prevents the the loop from e.g. checking the elapsed time). THe code is way too convoluted.
I think all you need is one loop utilizing the timeout of the event as wait timer (and one to randomly cause faults). See attached for a rough draft. modify as needed. As you can see, you don't need all these locals and hidden controls.

How to play music through my external hard drive through iTunes on my mac?
I recently purchased a external hard drive for my mac for my movies and music, as my disc was almost full.
I have spent HOURS searching how to play music through my itunes without transferring them onto the mac.
BUT everytime I click media destination folder in prefrences and advance, the whole music library in my external hard drive folder is greyed out, and when i click it nothing happens.
PLEASE someone help...First, a brand new drive is likely formatted for use with Windows. You need to reformat it for use with Mac.

Second, you are better off moving the whole iTunes library to the external drive, not just the media.

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library.

How to prevent AT SELECTION-SCREEN event on second Selection Screen

I have a program in which I am entering some parameters in a selection screen and also validating them in AT SELECTION-SCREEN events. After validating them the program shows another selection screen in which I have some push-buttons. I have some events on those push-buttons also.
However I am facing a different problem now. When I execute the second selection screen I get the report, and when I click on back button then it again triggers the AT SELECTION SCREEN event of the first selection screen and displays the related messages.
How to prevent this ? Is there any way where I can restrict the execution of selection screen events for a particular selection screen?

In backend Pa30 collision works like this
1) the logical collision, checks if there is an overlap in the validity
interval of the IT´s (begda, endda).
2) the physical collision, checks if there is an overlap in the time
interval of the IT's.
In the logical collision it is checked if there is an overlap in the
validity interval if at least one of the records is a full-day
( that is the case when you enter a Daily Work Schedule (DWS) )
So when one of the records has a DWS it is considered to be a full day
record and the logical collision is taken into consideration.
If instead you enter the only the time interval manually the records
are considered to be partial-day and the physical collision is
performed. In that case only the time interval is important.
So if the clock times are not entered the physical collision can not
take place.
The collision functionality is always based on clock times and dates,
never on the total nr of hours.
