How to prevent session sharing ???

I am getting a problem when i access my application with different logins from same machine ( same browsers ) ,
then old login session is updating with new login session,
how can i prevent this session sharing?
thanks in advance

What's probably happening is that you use file cookies (cookies are stored in your file system).
1. You log in from browser 1 as User A. The server sets a session cookie on your file system.
2. You continue to work from browser 1. The session cookie gets sent in every request and all is fine.
3. Now you open another browser and log in as User B. The server sets a session cookie identifying you as User B on your file system.
4. This overwrites the cookie that was set earlier that identified you as User A The concept is that you can have only one cookie from a server for a specific purpose (session identification in this case)
5. When you go back to browser 1 now and access the site, the second cookie gets sent (the one that identifies you as User B) and you are logged in as User B now.

  • How to prevent internet sharing from turning itself of automatically

There is any way to prevent internet sharing from turning of itself automatically wen the analog modem is disconnected?
At home i have to use an analog modem to connect to the internet (no adsl coverage), under Snow Leopard i was able to create a wi-fi Network to share files and connection between an iMac (connected directly to the internet), an iPhone, a MacBook and a Ps3.
With lion, apple introduced a new feature in the internet sharing tools: in fact the wi-fi connection is turned ON only when the modem (or the selected internet source whatever it is) is connected to the internet, when i disconnect it all the network is turned Of.
So, there is any way to keep alive the network also when the modem is disconnected, like when i was under Snow Leopard?

hello, can you please try it with firefox 33 beta. it should no longer interpret a one word entry into the address bar as a domain, that it tries to resolve first, but sends it as a search term to your chosen engine right away: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/channel/#beta

  • How to prevent others use their iDevices to remote control apple tv?

    Hi All,
I'm wondering that does anyone know how to prevent others use their iDevices to remote control my apple tv?
    settings
    1. the apple tv is in the school.
    2. all students could access the Internet
    3. The apple tv is sharing the same Internet with students.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
The remote app uses homesharing, therefore anyone wanting to control an Apple TV with the remote app would need to know the home sharing ID and password.

  • How to prevent users from creating new folders in share folder directory?

    Hello guys
I'd like to know How to prevent users from creating new folders in share folder directory but still keep their power of creating new folders in their personal 'my folder'?
I tried changing the 'manage privilage ---- create folder' to deny certain user accounts, but by doing so, it also stops the user from creating new folders in their 'my folder', which is not good..
I also tried going into these share folders and tried different access types such as 'change/delete', 'read', 'traverse folder' etc, but none of it work ideally. The 'change/delete' access still allows them to create new folders, 'read' access prevents creating new folders but also take away their power of saving reports..
Any thoughts on how to take away their ability to ONLY create new folders in share folder areas without affecting their other privileges?
    Please advise
    Thank you

Easy, on the shared folders root folder only give them 'read' or 'traverse folder' but on the the folder inside the shared folders root folder give them 'change/delete'. That means they can change anything inside those folders but not create any folders at the shared folders root level.

  • Session sharing again

    Hi all,
A problem with a slight difference from the one just posted by vakkanti about http-session sharing.
In our servlet/JSP application the users can of course open a new window within their browser.
The problem is that both windows are now using the same HTTP-session because the other session has not yet been invalidated and that gives problems in the use of session variables etc.. How can I force that the the new window is using a new session? Or otherwise at least deal elegantly with this problem. It must be a well known problem I think.
    Regards,
    Ronald

    Hello Ronald,
I do not thinnk that is a 'J2EE issue' in the sense this is the way browser reacts. When you open a new window you are in the same context in term of cookie, session, etc etc. All container will react the same way with a new opened window.
The only way that I now to have multiple windows and different sessions is:
    - on Internet Explorer and with creatin a new process by running IE (Clicking or run command) not with the File>New window , or any links.
Could you explain why you need multiple session in different window? What is the businness requirement of your application? (we may be able to find a work around, since the behavior your expect is not supported by browsers)

  • HTTP session sharing

    Hi,
We have a need for session sharing among the different JVMs and have been trying the application cluster functionality with zero luck. Now we are thinking of looking into coherence because by reading the documentation we came to know this is something we could accomplish it. Since being a very new on this, have anyone done this and if you have can we get some information on how to do it. We will really appreciate your help on this.
    Thanks,
    Raj

To better understand the background of your root problem,
    1) which Application Server product are you using?
    2) the term "clustering" may mean different things to different App Server implementations. Does your reference to clustering also mean "Http Session Replication" has been specifically enabled, or that by simply clustering JVMs you expect this to happen automatically?
    3) is access to the session needed by the same web app or different web apps in the JVMs?

  • How to prevent packet forwarding over non-MPLS connection.

I'm wondering if it is possible to configure Cisco ESR to not forward packet over non-MPLS connection(VPI/VCI=0/32) when an LSP for its destination has not been established, while allowing control packets(BGP, LDP, OSPF) to be sent over non-MPLS connection. The reason why I ask about is as follows.
Referring to the following network configuration,
    R1 --- Cisco_ESR --- ATM_LSR --- LER --- R2
    <--> non-MPLS connection
    ----------------------->
    LSPs
    ----------------------->
In the ordinary operation, when a packet arrives at Cisco_LER from R1, it gets forwarded over an LSP if available, while getting forwarded over non-MPLS connection(VPI/VCI=0/32) if the corresponding LSP is not available. In the configuration mentioned above,ATM_LSR does software-based packet processing for incoming packet through non-MPLS channel, while doing cell-switching for LSP traffic. Thus if ESR sends packet over non-MPLS connection, e.g, STM-1c, the ATM_LSR could get crashed or time-critical control traffic could be delayed or lost, thereby resulting in BGP/LDP session failure between ESR and ATM_LSR or LER.
In summary, my question is how to prevent Cisco_ESR from forwarding packets over non-MPLS connection when LSPs for their destinations are not available due to LSP failures.
    Thanks.

  • How to make session invalid when user refresh the page?

How to make session invalid when user refresh the page?

I have a <form> in a JSP file that has another JSP file as an action.
I have main.jsp that has <form> with action.jsp file as an action.
Now when I submit the <form>, request forwarded to action.jsp and it will take the action. But this file is taking so long, hence user refresh the page again and again, hence duplicate request processing is occuring.
    I want to prevent this.

  • How to prevent the User from loading more than one seq file?

    Hi,
I would like to prevent the tester operator from loading more than one test sequence.  Any ideas how to do it?

    Hi Marty,
    Marty_H wrote:
    Hello mhousel,
Testexec.exe by default loads the sequence files that were last open when it runs.  It is often desired behavior to have multiple sequence files load automatically.
[Mark Housel] Maybe for some but certainly not for me.
This should be easily handled by TestStand without any problems.  What do you mean by "chaos ensues"?
Certainly Teststand doesn't care a bit how many sequences are open.  But, when my sequences open they initialize HW of the ATE associated with
that sequence file during the sequenceFileLoad callback.  e.g. I allocate TELNET handles to a terminal
server that connects to multiple console within the system and als for
    the UUT.
If a second sequence opens it knows nothing about the other sequence and again tries to open a TELENT session to the same port of the
terminal server and obviously fails, so my sequence reports that it
can't properly initialize the ATE HW.  Bad juju!
Are your sequence files set to run automatically when they are loaded?
I guess so.  Other than the trick of logging in as the special noExecution user and having special code in my sequence and modified Process Model I have no idea how to prevent a sequence fronm "runnin" when opened.
If you want to prevent Testexec.exe from loading multiple files, you should be able to close out one of the open files when it loads and that sequence file should not load in the future.  I hope that helps.
The trick I read somewhere else of modifying the Testexec.uir file to never re-load a sequence file automatically seemes to have covered up solved the problem.
    Thanks,
    Mark

  • How to prevent the transaction code

    Hi

Is there any SAP standard role availble or how to prevent the authurization for the above client independed
    transaction code.
    Regards,
    Jayakumar

    Hi,
I want to know why you need to restrict these features when there is no harm.
These are not transactions. They are extra features in SAP.
/nT-code --- takes you to the new T-code by ending the previous T-code.
    /oT-code -
creates a new session with the given T-code.
    /nex -
    ends the session.

  • CFmail errors- how to prevent error message from user?

    Greetings
I have an app in which the admin user sends notices to Vendors who have signed up to recieve emails when a new bid is posted.
Even though I have "required="yes" validate="email"" at intial Vendor sign up (I think email validation is better served using Javascript, I've heard anyway) inevitably, contact emails go bad- and there are about 5000 vendors in the system.
When a user (admin) sends the notices, if there is a mal-formed or dead email address in the DB, it dislays my default error screen even though the send transaction was successful.
Any advice on how to prevent this?

  • How to Persis session between two ear files

Can anybody tell me how to persists session between two ear files?
    Please Help its urgent!!
    Rahul

Rahul -- there's nothing as a J2EE spec requirement or even a proprietary feature of OC4J/OracleAS which will enable this.
If you have two different EAR files, then they are two different applications, and each will have their own session which can't be shared amongst each other.
If you have data which needs to be shared across different applications then you could either put it on a shared file system or write it to a database which you can then read from in the other application.
One way to do this is to implement the HttpSessionAttributeListener interface which will be called when object are added/removed/updated from a session, and then make a determination on whether the new object needs to be stored in a common place to facilitate sharing between applications.
This is more likely to be a hackaround and ideally you'd examine why you want to share session state across applications and rearchitect so you don't need to do it -- but if you want to try a solution without a major revisiting of the whole application, then perhaps it's an option.

  • Can't figure out how to use home sharing

Since the latest couple iTunes updates, my family and I can not figure out how to use home sharing. Everyone in our household has their own iTunes, and for a long time we would just share our music through home sharing. But with the updates, so much has changed that we can no longer figure out how to use it.
I have a lot of purchased albums on another laptop in the house, that im trying to move it all over to my own iTunes, and I have spent a long time searching the internet, and everything. And I just can't figure out how to do it. So.... how does it work now? I would really like to get these albums from my moms iTunes, onto mine. I would hate to have to buy them all over again.
If anyone is able to help me out here, that would be great! Thanks!

The problem im having is that after I am in another library through home sharing, I can't figure out how to select an album and import it to my library. They used to have it set up so that you just highlight all of the songs you want, and then all you had to do was click import. Now I don't even see an import button, or anything else like it. So im lost... I don't know if it's something im doing wrong, or if our home sharing system just isn't working properly.
    Thanks for the help.

  • How to set up shared use of "Contacts" data w/ 2 individual user accounts?

How to set up shared use of application "Contacts" data for two individual user accounts?

Link the contacts in one user account to a online cloud based system like Google or apples iCloud and then link the second user to that same online account. This could cause some slight problems if both people maintain their own online account to either of those systems on a phone or pad.
