How to print an adobe form with xml interface in r3

I have a Web dynpro application that creates an ADOBE form using an XML schema interface.
I need to be able to print the same form in R/3 - is this possible? If so how do I create the interface?

You need to get a name of the corresponding FM using FM FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME.

I want to use the Adobe forms for the real estate module.
I had seen that adobe forms can have an interface with XML input and output as parameter.
In the interface type only the /DOCPARAMS an the DOCXML are INPUT parameters which are available.

When i try to retrieve the data in real estate there are some default function modules for retrieving the data from real estate.
But this function modules also are going to find out if the form which asks for this information has a IMPORT parameter
for the required data. For example, the SENDER data is retrieved, but before the default function module retrieve this data
the function module checks if the form has a INPUT parameter SENDER.
And that is not the case. And i cannot create the SENDER parameter to it, because this INTERFACE type does not allow it.
Does anybody know a solution herefore?

It is a long time ago, almost 2 years.
I created my own custom development for calling the Adobe form. This custom development uses the correct function module interface with the IMPORT XML.
The XML which i sent as IMPORT PARAMETER to the form is also created by own custom development. Via the default XML class of SAP
So that was my solution

I've create a static adobe form in ABAP environment using SFP transaction. But when i build the form and test print out, system raise an error "<b>Device type unsuitable for ADS documents</b>". So, which device type should I use to print ADS documents ?

The printer selected for output must support Adobe forms (the default "local" printer does not). If you don't already have a printer that supports Adobe output, you can create one via SPAD using (for example) device type PDF1.

How to Attach One adobe form with another adobe form

Hi Experts,
I saw the similar post but my issue is even further big thant that where the solution is provided.
I Have @ 40 output forms where 35 forms share same part of data in a table format.
Untill today I have done all the forms with this table data (I say this as a replication), now its that the business requirements are changed the presentation (design) of data and the content. now I need to change all the 35 forms.
Just wondering is there a possibility to put the specific data in one single form where it takes only one Import Parameter and generates this table. I then have this as an include in all the 35 forms when i preview it should just display both of them as a single form.
Can somebody help me with this....?

How to print from Adobe AIR with on the iPad?

Is it possible to print from an Adobe AIR app on the iPad? I've searched and I know PrintJob won't work. Is there another way to print? I'm developing in Flash CS5.5 and have Flash web app that already prints using PrintJob.

Has anyone seen an example of how to create one for printing? I need this functionality for Android and iOS.

Rearrange pages when printing adobe form with multiple master pages

Good day to you all.
I have an issue in regards with printing my adobe form with multiple Master pages. I have 4 master pages:
1st master page: a
2nd master page: b
3rd master page: c
4th master page: d
all with different headers and footers all having the same contents (items). I don't have issue with one page content (it just prints 4 pages with different headers and footers). The issue comes out once the items exceed 1 page.
What happens is that the preview/print shows (example: 3-page item)
a1-a2-a3-b1-b2-b3-c1-c2-c3-d1-d2-d3.
What i need is to print these such that all 1st pages of the 4 master page to be printed first, then all the 2nd pages, then all 3rd pages. Please see below:
a1-b1-c1-d1-a2-b2-c2-d2-a3-b3-c3-d3
This is because we will be using carbonless copy paper during printing and it's possible that it would be printed on batch jobs. Please suggest ways to do this.

Is that requirement of multiple pages as groups only at the time of print or at print preview also...?
Can you have a Print button on this screen or you should be using the Abobe toolbar's Print button..?
Well if this on a click of a button in the form and the requirement is only at the time of print and not on print prieview I can have a JS script which does this...
Let me know if this suffice, I can try with a local file and send you the script.

Merge LiveCycle Form with XML using JAVA

Hello.
I am trying to find out how to merge non-interactive form with XML (using JAVA) so the users can see the final output form with the data filled in.
What are my choices..?
So far, I have created the interactive forms as template using LiveCycle 8 and wrote ASP.NET code to extract data and store it in SQL database when the user fill out and submit the form.
It works great but another agency wants to access the form as well.
They told us that they will create the XML themselves from the database, so they just need to combine the form with XML to display it (non-interactive form).
They want to use JAVA but I am not sure how to do that...
Any suggestion?

Assuming that you start with XML in an org.w3c.dom.Document that stores the XML data. Before you can merge it into a form, you have to convert it to a com.adobe.idp.Document object. TO convert a org.w3c.dom.Document to a com.adobe.idp.Document object -- use the following Java code:

look at the example report FP_TEST_00 in the workbench.
Steps to generate an adobe form:-
First get name of the generated function module
CALL FUNCTION 'FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'
*open the form for printing
CALL FUNCTION 'FP_JOB_OPEN'
Now call the generated function module
CALL FUNCTION fm_name
Close spool job
CALL FUNCTION 'FP_JOB_CLOSE'
Steps to download the adobe form on your PC:-
convert the pdf into a binary file
CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY'
*download the form on your PC
CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_download

I want to use Adobe forms with the transaction F150 Dunning Run.
How do I get the adobe form in customizing? I have put the FM 'FI_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE_PDF' in business transaction Event, BF31 - P/S modules of SAP app - 00001720, Fi-FI. But it is still not recognizing the ADOBE form.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am also working for calling custom adobe form instead of sapscript.
While configuring BTE 1720, i noticed that configuring BTE only FI-FI application does not solve the purpose. You need to assign function module FI_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE_PDF for all Application Area Indicator.
Adding to IS-PS will allow to print for customer.
This solved my problem. But this setting is global so you need to take care of it.

How to save XDP/Form with XML as a standalone PDF - Running out of time

Help...I'm in a time crunch. I have a perfectly working form that takes XML and merges into a wonderful PDF on my machine (1000+ pages). The problem is I need to distribute the finished PDF with the XML...not to two independent files.
I have tried every "Save As" and "Export" available and it only saves the PDF template without the data.
I have tried to "Print" to a PDF writer / pseudo-printer but it chokes and dies after a few hundred pages.
What am I missing? How can I take this form and XML and make a final product PDF that I can distribute?
In case it helps...the form was made in LiveCycle and the XML is generated from PHP.

Thanks for your ideas. I'm not using the reader...I'm using Acrobat Pro 9.x.
This isn't really a LiveCycle question because that has to do with the form design. This is post-design and during the data merge...something only an end-user would see or have access to.
The form works great...the data is great. They are merged on the screen and looks perfect. However, I can't get the combined output saved anywhere.

The add annotations field shows as not allowed in the security options. So how do I send this form back with the changes??

I think you you need to click 'save' first, then it is saved to acrobat, where it will prompt to send.

Page print in Adobe Form

I developed a Adobe form with 2 master pages. I dont want to display my 2nd Master page if a field eq 'MANAGER'. This field is displayed on Master Page. When I am giving print my 2nd page is also printing I dont want my 2nd master page to print if the field is 'MANAGER'. How can i do this ?

Or You can do this...
Create a Subform in the first page , create the condition for that only if the particular field is MANAGER then only this should be displayed. HIDE the subform , in the properties you can check.
This subform properties Place that on Top of Next page or choose the Master page content area which you want.
So when manager only this forms will trigger and the corresponding details will be shown.

Check Printing in Adobe Form

Hi,
My requirement is to modify the layout of Check Printing program RFFOUS_C from SAP Script to Adobe Form. I am using ECC6.0. I went through the code, and figured out that include RFFORI01does the check printing part using Open_Form Function module.
Also going through other threads, I figured out that there is no exit in the program RFFOUS_C and the only way to modify it is create a copy of that program and add changes to ZRFFORI01. In the adobe form, apart from normal check printing, i need to add few fields from HR module too.
Any help/ sample code, on how to incorporate this, would be really helpful as I am new to ABAP.
