How to programmatically sign test data?

Hello LV fans,
I’m looking for some ideas/methods to programmatically apply a digital signature to my test data. Currently I write to Excel, using ActiveX, then print and manually sign each data sheet. I’m open to new ideas to improve this process.
thanks

Hello Jared,
I'm not digitally signing my test reports now. I have to print them out, sign them, then have them scanned in for a permanent record. My VI pulls up the users' log in ID from the computer, and puts the users' name on the report. I'd like to take the process one step further and have each report digitally signed. Perhaps using MS Excel's digitial signature, or I could have the reports saved as pdf's and use Adobe Acrobat 8.0.
thanks..

  • How to create test data in SHDB transaction ?

    Hi,
       In SHDB transaction I have captured the recording of AS01 transaction. Now there is a tab called "test data" in SHDB transaction. I clicked on that and gave a text document name called "c:\asset.txt" . Now it is showing status like "test data has already been saved into c:\asset.txt". Now how should I create test data for this?
    Please reply soon...............

    Hi,
        Can anyone pls explain what the tab "Test data" will function in SHDB transaction?

  • How to download and restore test data directory / se37

    Hello comunity,
    ahead of me lies a system refresh. in tc se37 according to several function modules i have recorded several test-data-sets in test directory. After the system refresh they will be gone. i assume there are ddic-tables behind my personally saved test data records.
    now i wonder, does anyone know a functionality (program, fm, etc.) on
    1. how to download "my" test data directory entries ?
    2. how to restore them into the test data directory once after the system refresh ?
    for sure, somebody does. please gimme a hint. answers will be rewarded with credit points.
    Thanx in advance!

    Hmm...
    Maybe this is useful -> table <b>EUFUNC</b>
    Check the FMs from Function group <b>SEUJ</b> ,
    FM <b>RS_TESTDATA_GET</b> looks promising-reading.. and so also <b>RS_RFC_TESTDATA_GROUP_TRANSFER</b>
    Maybe you can write a small program which downloads all the contents of the table and later updates it using one of the above FMs
    Also check with the BASIS team about the options -> There are many options available like maintaining the previous settings... (I know that passwords may not be refreshed similarly this option may also be available..)

  • How to creat Test Data Directory

    Hi Experts,
    I want to create a TEST DATA DIRECTORY for the following function module CLOI_CHANGES_UPL_31. How to create this?
    Actually now i have some process order numbers. Using this how to create the test data directory??
    Plz guide this.
    Point will be sure.
    Mohana

    Hi Mohana,
          Test data directory is similar to variants in reports.
          After executing the function module give some input and click the save button . It will prompt a name . Give the name and click enter. So this test data is saved in the test data directory.
       So that you need not not give the test input again and again. you can simply click the test dat directory and select your test data .

  • How to get test data for BAPI_PO_CREATE?

    Hi friends,
    can anybody please tell me how to generate the test data  for BAPI_PO_CREATE?

    Hi swetha,
    Hi,
    You could test this scenario with using the Test Message option from RWB.
    Or else
    You could design the scenario to get the response from BAPI.
    i.e BAPI to XI to File or any other application that will be easily avaialble.
    But you need receiver system for testing.
    Refer the below link it may help you .

  • Spreadsheet: how can I store test results from different tests in the same central spreadsheet?

    I am looking to gather test data using LabVIEW. I then want to store all the data in the same spreadsheet, a kind of central data base. I know how to store single test data in a spreadsheet but I can I get the software to write new data in the same file without over writing the old data?

    My first recommendation is that if you need a database--use a database not a spreadsheet. A DBMS isn't that hard to use and could pay big dividends in the future.In any case, to answer your question directly, it sounds like you are writing tab-delimited data to a text file that you will then open with a spreadsheet program. On the file write vi is a boolean input that specifies whether the new data should be appended or overwrite the existing data (the default is to overwrite). Mike...

  • Problem about implementation of a controller in main_vi based on the test data of sub_vi

    Hi Group:
     I am developing a measurement and control system based on the PCI-6040E and SCXI1001,1102, and 1160.
    But now, I have a question ,which is how to implement a controller in main_vi based on the test data of sub_vi.
    my  program is consist of main_vi and  several sub_vi,  the main_vi is used for controlling and give the operation signal to hardware system (relay). and sub_vi is used for sampling data.
    for example: the sub_vi collects data from the hardware and the control algorithm and output is implemented in the main_vi, so the question is how to transfer the test data from the sub_vi to main_vi synchronously.
    I try to set the output connecter, but the data just return when  sub_vi is closed.
    anybody have good idea about it.
    Thanks a lot

    Hi hanwei,
    I'm making the assumption that you are not using LabVIEW Real-Time. If you are, you should use RT FIFOs. Otherwise, follow MikeS81's advice.
    I would go a step further and say that most likely it would be a better design to remove the loop (while loop?) from the subVI and instead place the subVI within a while loop in your top-level VI. This way on each execution of your subVI it will quickly return your data. Then you can also perform all the queue and dequeue operations in the two seperate while loops in your top-level VI. This organization will be easier to read, document, and understand.

  • Guidence regarding creating  a test data and running any function module

    hi pals,
       can you plz tell me how to create a test data, commit and run any function module, in details(step wise) ??

    Hi yawmark,
    I appologise for including a poor code example ealier on, i had to come up with something quick. I will however, visit the sugeted sites you mentioned, thank you.
    I did however, create a simple class that compiles and can be used to set, return, reset and print a few details about a person. I hope that is of better use than my previous example. here it is:
    public class SimplePerson {
        int age = 0;
        String firstName = "";
        String lastName = "";
        /** Creates a new instance of SimplePerson */
        public SimplePerson() {
        /** Sets the age of this person */
        private void setAge(int takeAge){
            age = takeAge;
        /** Returns the age of this person */
        private int getAge(){
            return age;
        /** Sets the First Name of this person */
        private void setFirstName(String takeName){
            firstName = takeName;
        /** Returns the First Name of this person */
        private String getFirstName(){
            return firstName;
        /** Sets the Last Name of this person */
        private void setLastName(String takeName){
            firstName = takeName;
        /** Returns the Last Name of this person */
        private String getLastName(){
            return firstName;
        /** Resets the details of this person back to back to
         *  the default form.
        private void resetAll(){
            age = 0;
            firstName = "";
            lastName = "";
        /** Prints all the details this person has */
        private void printAll(){
            System.out.println("Age: " +Integer.toString(age)
                    + "\n First Name: " + firstName
                    + "\n Last Name: " + lastName );

  • Create test data in sybase

    Hi,
    How to create a test data in SYBASE DB???
    Regards,
    Chandrish M

    Chandrish,
      Which Sybase Database are you using?
      Many test tools have data generation capabilities. We have developed a few tools that generate data for our example databases and applications. However, we do not have a generic data generation tool.
      Most of our customers create their own test data generation since data models and structures tend to be unique to each customer.

  • How can I sign my .sis for testing purposes?

    Hi, I created a simple helloworld.sis application using the
    Adobe Mobile Packager. Now I want to install it to my Nokia S60
    phone, but I get the following error message: "certificaatfout"
    (it's dutch, meaning certificate error ;-).
    I tried Open Signed Online to sign my application
    url:
    https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/page/public/openSignedOnline.do
    but after submitting my application I get this error by
    email:
    Your application (HelloWorld_signed.sis) signing has failed.
    This may be because it has been flagged as a potential virus by our
    scanning or because the format of your sis file is incorrect or
    corrupt. Please try re-building your .sis file and
    re-submitting.
    Does anybody know how I can sign my application to test it on
    my Nokia phone?

    Hi Mark, thank you for the tip. In "Applications->App
    Manager>Options>Settings>" I enabled all applications and
    no online checks and now I can install my HelloWorld_signed.sis.
    Unfortunately, when I try to run my application, my phone
    asks:
    "HelloWorld needs Adobe Flash Lite to Run. Continue?"
    But when I click "yes", I get this message:
    "Sorry. Adobe Flash Lite is not available for this device."
    I'm using a Nokia E61i. In the Adobe Mobile Packager, this
    device is not listed under "Distributabele Player Supported
    Devices" so I guess I have to borrow a more up-to-date phone to see
    my application running.

    What's wrong with the code, It seems that the bob's private key is not instance of DSAPrivateKey but DHPrivateKey.
    what's your comment? thanks a lot.

    thank sabre150 for your reply. But the key pair is generated when I use DH to exchange the secret key. Yes! It is a DH key pair and cannot be used for signing. The DH key pair can only be used for secret sharing.
    If I can not use this private key to sign the data, what can i do?Do I have to generate another key pair for signature? In that way, I will have two key pair. Yep. You can generate a DSA or an RSA key pair to be used for signing.
    Because I use http protocol to exchange the key to get the shared secret key, Yep.
    If I generate another key pair, how can i send the public key to server? Since public keys are 'public' then you can send them in the open to anyone you like. In fact, if you don't publish your public keys then they are pretty much a waste of time. The biggest problem one has with public key is proving 'ownership' - if someone sends me a public key how do I know that the sender is actually who they say they are?.
    I am confused.Some reading might help. A pretty good starting point is "Beginning Cryptography with Java" by David Hook published by Wrox.

    when i run this script from Controller with 3 users LR picks it as user1->1, user2->1, user3->1
    How do i achieve this case: user1->1, user2->2, user3->3 ??
    Any help would be great.

    I have a related question. i created 2 websites/domains then i went to users and created 2 seperate "network" users then i went to ftp and selected each website and added only user A to site A and user B to site B. what's weird is that when i try to ftp using either of the users it seems to land on the same site. i looked at shared security for the folders and it only shows user a on site a folder and user b on site b folders. am i doing somehitng wrong or is this how it works in mountain lion server? i just want to give the domain owner ftp access so they can manage their files and only thier files. i also had to turn on open directory so that it would not create a local user but a network user. do i need to turn that off and just deal with having a bunch of local users as ftp user? i want to host multiple websites on the server and NO users remote on to server besides ftp.
    edit 1: i only have 1 IP running on the server which i don't think it has any affect on this but thought i mention it :-)
    edit 2: i just noticed one more thing that may help. i used filezilla to remote in using both users, one at a time. it seems to allow both users in but then it shows same directories. i then created a file using the one that was not supposed to have acces and it never sows up. but if i remote desktop to server i can see the new file in the correct folder. so it may have something to d o with the directory listing.

I really don't want my personal information such as pictures, text messages, notes and social networks profile available to a stranger!!? Help please!!!

        Hello thewrongway,
    I'm sorry to hear about your phone!  I understand the need for an active device. You are able to activate an old device and process an insurance claim for your iPhone 4s within 60days from the incident date.  Keep in mind if the old phone is not a smartphone and you currently have unlimited data that feature will fall off.  If you have a tier data plan no changes will be made.  Please let me know if you have any additional questions.  Thank you.

  • How can I populate a date field when document is signed?

    I have 4 digital signature fields in a PDF form.  Next to each signature field is a date field (m/d/yyyy format).  I would like it so when the user signs the signature box that the date field next to it populates with todays date, then changes to read only (so it cannot be altered).
    In Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 I have this form and it has the following fields
    Signature1
    Signature2
    Signature3
    Signature4
    DateField1
    DateField2
    DateField3
    DateField4
    The Signature fields trigger a Topaz.GemSignPlus driver where the end user will be signing on an electronic signature pad.
    How can I use Javascript to detect when one of those Signature fields is populated and then fill in the date to the approrpiate date field?  I tried creating boolean variables initialized as false for each sig field.  Then when the signature is done I try to change it to true, but for whatever reason my javascript detecting the value doesn't do anything.
    I've searched the net endlessly for this solution.  I can't believe I'm having such a hard time finding an answer.  I mean how many places do you go where they ask you to "Sign and date here".  Every signature based document I've ever seen also requires a date.
    Anyway here's what I have.  In Document JavaScript functions I have a script name called populate date:
    function populatedate()
    var bSignature1 = new Boolean();
    var bSignature2 = new Boolean();
    var bSignature3 = new Boolean();
    var bSignature4 = new Boolean();
    if (bSignature1) {
        DateField1.value = util.printd ("m/d/yyyy", new Date());
    if (bSignature2) {
        DateField2.value = util.printd ("m/d/yyyy", new Date());
    if (bSignature3) {
        DateField3.value = util.printd ("m/d/yyyy", new Date());
    if (bSignature4) {
        DateField4.value = util.printd ("m/d/yyyy", new Date());
    In each signature field I have under the Signed tab "This script executes when field is signed:
    var bSignature1 = new Boolean(true);
    I'm trying to change it to true see.  My thinking is if its true than DateField1.value should print the m/d/yyyy in it from the built in Date() function.
    But maybe I am not getting this context correct.  I am new to Javascript in Adobe.

    It's quite a round-about script... Why not simply use the signature signing script to set the value of the date field? The correct syntax for that is:
    this.getField("DateField1").value = util.printd ("m/d/yyyy", new Date());

                                          Youneed to select the option "generate template data " and then on the displaying template there you will see the option for editing in the top left corner toolbar.
    Then after editing you can do a XMl syntax check and test your proxy.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Greetson
