How to publish new components

When implementing the sample described in http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/developing/components.html  (creating a new component "Text & Image (Extended)" as a copy of  existing component "Text & Image") I've got two problems - but will split them to two threads.
First: The published version of my website doesn't show the paragraph added on behalf of "Text & Image (Extended)", but works fine if I use the old "Text & Image"-component. The only reason I can think of is that the new component needs to be known at publisher site; but until yet I did not find any hint according to this problem.
brgds,
Ulrich

I don't know whether it is incomplete - there are many pages I didn't read yet. But as I mentioned in my reply to Yogesh I'm new in this environment and try to become familiar to it. What I can say for sure is, that the official documentation is not very good for beginners. Every page has prerequisits to be found elsewhere. And you can't really finish your exercises before having read it. And I was hard trying to find something helping me to understand why my sample didn't work for the PUBLISH-instance. I did neither know whether it was my fault (editing errror) or if there were more actions required. The doc "How to publish Pages" did also not mention anything about publishing code. When I got the update from Yogesh I looked for "Package Manager" - here I found it then at last. So it was there but I couldn't find it because I didn't know what to look for.

  • How to publish news without iWeb

    Hello,
    I would like to know if we can add news directly from the site without using iWeb, like a comment ??

    Rather than use iWeb's blog, you could use a free, web-based blog such as Posterous. Then add their _Posterous Blog Widget_ to your iWeb site via iWeb's HTML Snippet window. Then you could email your "news" to your Posterous blog and it will appear in the Posterous Blog Widget in your iWeb page. In addition to emailing blog entries to Posterous, you can use their web-based blog manager from any Mac or PC.
    Alternatively, instead of using Posterous's Blog Widget, you could embed your blog at Posterous into your iWeb page: Click on iWeb's Insert menu > choose +HTML Snippet+ and copy & paste the following code into the +HTML Snippet+ window...
    <iframe height="100%" allowTransparency="true" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" style="width:100%;border:none" src="http://yourblogname.posterous.com/"></iframe>

  • How do I properly setup pin and gate swap groups on new components?

    Hi,
    I've looked for some documentation explaining exactly how the pin and gate swap functionality works but I have not been successful.
    I am trying to get pin and gate swapping working correctly on some digital logic components that I have created (side question - why no modern 74 series logic components like LVC?) as well as RPACKS and some connectors.
    Is it a requirement to create a multi-section symbol to enable gate swapping?  I can't seem to get it to work unless the symbol has multiple sections.  It doesn't work by default for the RPACKs included in Multisim.  If it's possible to do gate swapping by putting the pins of each gate in their own gate swap group I would really like to understand what I'm doing wrong.
    In the Component Properties 'Footprint' tab you can define the 'Pin swap group' and 'Gate swap group' settings.  I have not seen any documentation explaining this and frankly, I'm quite confused by it when using existing 74 series parts as examples.  The single section symbols don't have any pin swap or gate swap groups defined and the multisection symbols have only one gate swap group and then put all inputs in one pin swap group and all outputs in another pin swap group.
    I would really appreciate it if someone could point me to documentation that explains how to do this.  The help files are quite poor in my opinion - they seem to only be able to point out the obvious.  The 'Getting Started,' 'Fundamentals,' etc. type guides don't mention this stuff at all.  The 'User Guide/Manual' (both of which appear to be outdated?) do not explain this and frankly don't have very much information about pin and gate swapping at all.
    I'm hoping I'm just missing something obvious.
    On a related note - I'm having some trouble working with some of these multisection components.  When I want to change the footprint or update the component after making a change to the component in the database I can't seem to find a quick way to do this.  It seems that I always have to go through a drawn out process of 'Replacing' each individual symbol section.  Is there a faster way to do this?
    Thanks,
    Kleven

    Hi Pat,
    I'm working with some SAMTEC connectors.  I don't expect you guys to have these built by default in the library - they are somewhat custom.  But just so you can consider it, we are using the TFM and T2M family of connectors and I'm adding them as additional footprints for the standard dual row headers.  I'm having some trouble with the footprint for the TFM screw-down option since it is a very odd footprint, but I'm going to start a seperate thread discussion for that since I really just need to understand how to manipulate Ultiboard to get the desired result and it's really a different discussion.
    As for RPACKs, I'm a little confused about how Multisim currently supports these. The Value tab in the properties dialog only lets you set the resistance.  Why isn't this more like the resistor value tab?  Since the Value tab is modified like a virtual component it's disappointing that it doesn't offer more capability like the other virtual passives.  In my limited experience I've seen the isolated-4 resistor pack used the most, but like I said, that is limited experience.  It would be nice if some surface mount footprints were added to the master database for RPACKs in the future.  4x0402, 4x0603, and 4x0805, concave and convex, seem like pretty common footprints as best I can tell.
    Virtual components work great in a purely physical design because you can easily change the footprint in the 'Value' property tab.  With the provided RPACKs and LEDs you can't do that, so I had to create new components in the User/Corporate database.  Of course, the LED can't be copied so I had to create it from scratch.  But the RPACK could be copied even though it had a modified Value tab, implying it is a virtual component, if I understand correctly.  Maybe these distinctions and limitations are well defined but I found it somewhat confusing that there were several common parts I had to either copy and modify or build from scratch.
    Since I created those parts, we updated to the PowerPro version and though I'm not certain, I think I can change the footprint in the spreadsheet view.  But in the standard version, I didn't see a way to change the footprint without replacing the component.
    Also, it seems like changing the footprint does not behave quite like I would expect.  If I have a database part which has multiple footprints mapped already, I would expect to be able to choose between those footprints already supported by the database part when I try to change the footprint using the Properties->Value tab or the spreadsheet view.  If I need to change to a footprint that currently is not associated with the component in the database, I would expect to have to edit the database part, add the footprint, map the pins, re-save the component, then update the component in the schematic.
    Is my thought process making too many assumptions here?  I understand that I am one person creating one design in one specific way.  So I'm sure I'm missing some usage cases or intended uses of the tool, especially since I haven't taken any training for this software and have tried to teach myself how to use it over the last 9 months.  And I have noticed that even for virtual resistors and capacitors, the footprint selection dialog is the same - a selection from the database and setting up a new pin mapping.
    As for 74 series parts, seeing the LVC family would be very nice.  This is 3.3V-2.5V and seems like the next logical step for lower voltage support.  It would also be nice to see some surface mount footprints with the 74 series parts.  This isn't a big deal though - it didn't take me long to create the parts I needed by copying and editing from the Master database.  And since I'm not using the simulation models, that made it even easier.  Since I haven't looked into the models at all, I don't know if that would have taken longer to convert to the LVC family.
    I've probably rambled enough for now.
    Thanks!
    Kleven

  • How to publish infopath forms to open new and old form templates in sharepoint2007

    Hi All,
    My requirement is , we are having a form library with the Infopath form templated(V1) published.
    Then we have added about 300 items using template(v1) into the sharepoint library.
     Then client asked for the changes in form and we deveploped infopath template (V2) and published, able to create the items using the new template(v2).
    But ,the issue is when we open item from the 300 items which are created with template(v1), its is opening using template(v2) and we are loosing the functionality of template(v1).
    Can i know ,how to publish the form template to use both template versions and it should open the form with  wahatever the  template it used for creation.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Anil Kumar K

    Hi,
    If you want the InfoPath forms for displaying the items in the list, then I recommend to click Customize Form button in the ribbon of the list to edit the form in InfoPath and then publish the form back to SharePoint.
    After that, you will see there are three new forms(displayifs.aspx, editifs.aspx, newifs.aspx) when you view the list in SharePoint Designer.
    Then you can create the custom action to navigate to the custom InfoPath form:
    Thanks,
    Victoria

    I know here a lot Java Guru, I met a problem below.
    How can I pass components between different JPanels??
    here, ListPanelMain.java is main,
    When I click a tree node in splitPane, I can see all its children on the right splitpane, but I hope they can be seen on another Panel called "ListRightPane.java"

  • How to publish Work Manager 6.0 on SMP3.0 ?

    Hi SCN Community,
    I'm trying to get the Work Manager 6.0 running on SMP 3.0 (running on Linux). Currently the events.log within the Agentry folder states, that the Agentry Server was started. But If I look into the Threads*.log I see there might be a problem and I'm also not able to connect to the server.
    Unfortunately I couldn't find any manual or post where someone described the steps to get a work manager running on SMP 3.0. The SMP 3.0 server manual as well as the SDK manual just describing in general how to publish an application to the SMP 3.0. But for Work Manager, there might be some special things to be done ...
    Any help/hints are welcome!
    Here what I did so far:
    Install SMP 3.0 up to SP02 on Suse SLES 11
    Install SAP JCo 2.1.11 (test successful:  java -jar /DVD_HANA/jco/sapjco.jar -stdout )
    Create a new application in SMP with type Agentry and select security profile default
    Install SMP3.0 SDK SP02 (Agentry)
    Setup Eclispe 4.2.2 with Agentry Plugin 7.0.2
    Import a Work Manager 6.0 from Teamshare
    Export Agentry Project as a production version and point to the Agentry.ini which is in folder /opt/SAP/MobilePlatform3/Server/configuration/com.sap.mobile.platform.server.agentry.application
    Include all jar files to the ZIP file
    Import the ZIP file within Agentry application in SMP 3.0
    Create JavaBE.ini in folder /opt/SAP/MobilePlatform3/Server which is copied from WM6.0 server
    Adjust Agentry.ini in folder /opt/SAP/MobilePlatform3/Server/configuration/com.sap.mobile.platform.server.agentry.application  (see section config files)

    Jason,
    deleting the service events was helpful regarding the error shown in the Thread log file. After publishing a new version the server seems to start, but has no activity to SAP. I expected at least an initial logon to the SAP system using the service user.
    Current log files are:

  • How to change the components in a visible JPanel?

    How to change the components in a visible JPanel?
    Is there any way to change the components in a JPanel while it is already visible in a JFrame? I tried the nave approach of removing the components and adding new ones, but the effect is not the expected.
    For now I'm opening new frames with newly created panels.

    After adding/removing components to/from a panel try:
    panel.revalidate();
    panel.repaint() // sometimes this is also needed, I'm
    not sure whyI'm not certain, but I think that panel.revalidate() implicitly calls repaint() only if something actually changed in the layout. If nothing changed, it sees no reason to repaint; hence, if something changed in appearance but not in layout, you have to repaint it yourself.
    Or something like that. I'm no expert. ;)

  • How to add new customise field in standard SAP ME28 Report?

    Hi Anybody,
             How to add new customise field inside Standard SAP Screen report ME28?.
    Anybody, Please tell me how to do?.
    Thanks,

    Hi Subramaniyam,
    You can find enhancement in me28 by following steps and then apply your logic in include of this enhancement.
    cmod>Give a project name>in enhancement column give the package name ME >f4>in package write ME-->ENTER>It will show you all enhancements available in me28> find which ever suits your requirement>save > click on components> from there you can make changes in include program.to add that particular field.

  • How to publish a "SYS.AQ$_JMS_MESSAGE" message to a topic (java)

    Hi,
    I am trying to publish a message (SYS.AQ$_JMS_MESSAGE) to a topic and address it to only one consumer...
    Below is the code I use to try to publish the message :
    l_queue = a_session.getQueue("AQADM", "TESTTOPIC");
    l_message = l_queue.createMessage();
    l_recipients.addElement((Object) new AQAgent(a_destinataire, null, 0));
    l_properties = l_message.getMessageProperty();
    l_properties.setRecipientList(l_recipients);
    l_message.setMessageProperty(l_properties);
    l_rawPayload = l_message.getRawPayload();
    l_content = "<test>fhsdkfhdskjhfsd</test>".getBytes();
    l_rawPayload.setStream(l_content, l_content.length);
    l_enqOption = new AQEnqueueOption();
    l_msgid = l_queue.enqueue(l_enqOption, l_message);
    I get an error while trying to set the payload of the message ...
    The object "l_rawPayload" is null ...
    Does someone have an idea on how to publish JMS message to a topic and address it to one of the consumers ???
    Thanks,
    romain.

    Brajesh,
    The reason I asked that was because I was having
    trouble subscribing to the messages using JMS API.
    This has since been resolved (it worked when I changed
    the driver from oci8 to thin !).
    Publishing worked, but subscription did not with oci8.
    Anyways, you mentioned that you recommend that Java applications
    should use JMS API. If so, when should one use Native Java?
    Thanks,
    Balaji

  • Help:How to publish a Flash with full screen HTML

    Please, guys, be kind enough to teach me how to publish a
    Flash with full screen size in HTML. I have tried to search the
    board, but so far no luck.
    Originally, I want my .SWF to keep changing its background.
    The solution I got was placing colored stage-sized rectangles on
    the bottom layer. Then I don't want the viewers to see the HTML
    area where I cannot seem to control smooth color changes.
    So, after I construct a Flash file with backdrop-color
    changing by the method I mentioned above, how do I publish it with
    full screen mode in HTML, as you can see
    here? Help!
    Thanks in advance, guys.

    Here's an AS2 and a AS3 version I got from David Stiller
    2 small details you have to add 1 in publish settings set Dimensions to percent 100 100
    and in the html set <style>body {margin: 0; padding: 0}</style>
    // AS2
    import flash.display.BitmapData;
    Stage.align = "TL";
    Stage.scaleMode = "noScale";
    var tile:BitmapData = BitmapData.loadBitmap("tile");
    function fillBG():Void {
      beginBitmapFill(tile);
      moveTo(0, 0);
      lineTo(Stage.width, 0);
      lineTo(Stage.width, Stage.height);
      lineTo(0, Stage.height);
      lineTo(0, 0);
      endFill();
    fillBG();
    var listener:Object = new Object();
    listener.onResize = fillBG;
    Stage.addListener(listener);
    // AS3
    stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;
    stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;
    var bmp:Tile = new Tile(50, 50);
    var tile:BitmapData = new BitmapData(50, 50);
    tile.draw(bmp);
    function fillBG(evt:Event = null):void {
      graphics.beginBitmapFill(tile);
      graphics.moveTo(0, 0);
      graphics.lineTo(stage.stageWidth, 0);
      graphics.lineTo(stage.stageWidth, stage.stageHeight);
      graphics.lineTo(0, stage.stageHeight);
      graphics.lineTo(0, 0);
      graphics.endFill();
    fillBG();

  • How to publish non-Crystal Report files in BO XI R2?

    Development Environment:  Visual Studio 2005, C#
    I'm working on a project where I need to publish non-Crystal Report files - specifically Excel and Text files - to a specified folder in BusinessObjects XI R2.  However, I'm having a very hard time finding any samples for how to do that.  I know how to publish Crystal Report files, so I figure I'll need to instantiate a PluginManager object of the correct type, but I'm not sure how to load the file from there.
    Can anyone provide some sample code or point me in the right direction so that I can figure this one out?  Thanks!

    A code snippet for Text:
            txtPath = @"C:\mytext.txt";
            ceSession = (new SessionMgr()).Logon(username, password, cmsname, authtype);
            InfoStore infoStore = new InfoStore(ceSession.GetService("InfoStore"));
            int folderID = ((InfoObject) infoStore.Query("Select TOP 1 SI_ID From CI_INFOOBJECTS "
                                                         + " Where SI_KIND='Folder' "
                                                         + " And SI_NAME='" + folderName + "'")[1]).ID;
            InfoObjects txts = infoStore.NewInfoObjectCollection();
            Txt         txt  = (Txt) txts.AddEx("Txt");
            txt.Title = "Test Text";
            txt.Files.Add(txtPath);
            txt.ParentID = folderID;
            infoStore.Commit(txts);

  • How to publish a sharepoint web application to internet for external users.

    Hi
    how to publish a share point site to internet,
    In test server : we branded a publishing enabled site and uploaded content and want to publish for internet users
    we have a production sharepont server,
    1) how to configure alternate access mappings in default zone,internet zone when we create new web application in prod share point server.
    adil

    For internet publishing ifyou want or need change the authentication method you need to EXTEND the website and enable the CLAIM authentication so the user can login using a HTML form for username and password.
    SharePoint make a url parsing to identify the content
    to display so you need to explain all the server name used for contacting the WebApplication. You can use 5 different name for the same server
    (AAM Alternate Access Mapping).
    N.B. http and https are different name (AAM Alternate Access Mapping)Lorenzo

  • How to publish from iweb using snow leopard

    Hi,
    Having had my iMac for some 4.5 years I finally have a real reason to use iweb and now can't work out how to publish from it.
    I only have a mobile me option come up when I click the publish option. My mobile me account was deactivated some time ago and reactivation is not an option. I can't see any other option for publishing. Is there one or have I missed my chance?
    Has anybody faced the same problem and found a solution?
    Thanks,

    What version of iWeb are you using?  iWeb 09 or 08?
    If using 08, then you'll need to select publish to a local folder and use Cyberduck or FileZilla or Transmit to upload your site to another server.
    If using iWeb 09, then select your site name and a drop down menu should appear that has 3 options - publish to MobileMe, publish to ftp and then publish to a local folder.  You either need to select publish to ftp or local folder to upload your site to another sever.  This is what you will need to do anyway come the end of June when MME will be no longer.
