How to put the SQL-statement returned value into the field (as a default)

I am using Developer/2000 (Forms Designer) under windows 98.
Please tell me how to put the SQL-statement value (as a default value) into the field before enter-query mode. Noted that I have tried the following ways but still some problems:-
1) Place the SQL-statement into PRE_QUERY trigger in the form/block level.
There is a message box which ask 'Do you want to save the changes?'.
2) Place the SQL-statement before execute enter_query. There is still a
message box which ask 'Do you want to save the changes?'.
Any hints? Thanks. Urgent.

There are 2 ways wherein you can make a field as input enabled.
One is by setting the edit = 'X' in the fieldcatalog for that field.
Loop at l_fcat.

Endloop.
Second method is by using Styles by which you enable a field, disable a field or make it a pushbutton etc..Using Styles can be found in any basic document on ALV.

How Can I Put Fields Into a Calendar Grid?

Hello All
I have a project that requires me to create a form in a calendar format. Each day (or square) in the calendar will need drop-down menus in it with various times of the day from which the user can select. Additionally, the user will need to input his name and email address at the top of the calendar. This is a very simple matter if I create it as a PDF form (which I have done). However, we want to try this as a WEB form. It doesn't seem that formscentral offers tables in which you can put fields. I looked for a way to use a .png image of the artwork as a background and just insert fields where needed, but this too seems to be not an option. Originally, I thought that formscentral would take my fillable document and convert it to a web form, but the technology is obviously not there. Thankfully, I'm on the 99 cent trial, so I can bail out if there is no way to accomplish the job of putting fields on a calendar grid. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. None of us can code in HTML. I've put in an image to give a better idea of what it is we're after.

i use swap objects a lot, but i modified it so there are no dialogue windows. you can pretty much guess what they do by their name and when replacing the hexagons with your symbols using any of those scripts, your symbol wil be centered with the replaced hexagon.

I have got a problem in my program actually I have created 4 splitters. in this two are for Document search and the other two are for material search, The other two splitters are for HTML. I wanted to give the end user five i in put fields in Document search and Four fields in material search. So that the data is retrived from the data base ( DRAW, MARA). all these fields must have search help (F4). after this it should have the drag and drop behavior.
I have created the html but the F4 help is not working and when I am trying to get the data from data base it is processing but the result is zero.
Is there any other way of doing this. If so can you tell me if possible send me one example too.

I want to put 5 pages together as a panel group in the same screen so that users are convenient to use them. The format is as follows:

When a user click on Header or Lines or Total or Error or Approval, its related page is displayed below it on the screen. But I don't understand how to put "Header", "Lines", "Total", "Error" and "Approval" together as above format and link them to its related page. Can anybody tell me how to do that ? Thanks.

Because you understand PeopleSoft financial application, please tell me the 2 questions as follows:
First, In Journal Line page, when select "edit Journal" and click button "process", the system check the Journal against Budget, if it's Ok, the System assign Journal ID for the Journal and put "valid" into the field of "Budget Status" and "Journal Status" in Total page. If it's not OK, the system send error message into Error page. Do you know how developer do that ?
Second, In Journal Line Page, when select "Submit Journal" and click button "process", the system send the Journal to Approval page for approval. Do you know how developer do that ?

I need to know how to put more than 1200 characters in a text form within a pdf created in Adobe Acrobat. I have a request from a customer to do so and after googling I have came up with nothing. Also the customer would like it if they could convert said pdf form to a microsoft word document with the text form.

There's no limit on the number of characters you can enter into a text
field, unless you set it as such.

from a db using a DW and MySQL app. The page (a table) looks
sometihng like this:

and so on
I've made the "Year" column a text link and added a Pop-Up
Menu behavior so that users could select a year and jump directly
to a specific section of the page (table). However, I'm not sure
how to put a <a href> name anchor in for each of the years.
For instance calling :
<a name="1951">1951</a>
from a declaration of:
<a href="#1951">Go to year 1951</a>
I would want to call each year (1951, 1952...1973) using name
anchors. But again, I'm not sure how to put all the named anchors
in a document that gets dynamically generated. It is a a table that
gets its data generated via a Repeated Region. Hope this question
makes sense. Any suggestions/comments appreciated. Thanks.

In our Web Based Planning tool we uses Tabstrib_control component and the Label-Text is filled like 'Plan 2008'. (Our BPS = 3.5 and Web interface builder)
I am looking for a way,how to put a variable into the Label field of the component. I am not sure if there is a possibility to enhance the labelfield with variable values.

Maybe I have a solution for your problem.
1. Create subcomponent "Selector variable" with your variable.
2. Hide this new subcomponent
3. Write in the Label-Text: <%=descr("Name of new subcomponent"/value)%>
If the variable will be selected by the user in the web interface, put the name of this selector in the field "Update upon Change of" in the properties of the new created subcomponent.
