How to read Java Object message from JMS Queue using JMS Adapter .

Dear All,
In my scenario i have to read a java object message from JMS Queue . I tried by using the JMS Adaper ,but i am not getting any Payload . Can any one tell me is there any special settings for JMS Adapter to read the Java Object message .
I am able to read the Message successfully thru JMS Adapter but in SXMB_MONI it is not showing any payload .
I also went in Message monitoring but i am getting this type of message in Sender JMS Adapter  in Audit Log.
JMS Message ID XXXXX Message Type Null unknown.Payload can not be read and will be empty.
JMS Message ID XXXXX Payload Empty can not read.
Please Help.

Hi,
As far as i know, JMS Object Messages is not supported by XI JMS adapter.
you need to have the JMS provider to transform the message to bytes messages.

    Hi,
    I want to write a standalone Java program which has to post a message to a queue and receive a message from a queue thats specified as a replyto queue.I want to have my application to be completely standalone without the need of a Application server.What all the Jars do I need to include in the application.My aim is to have the application standalone and portable so that the application runs on any machine that has a JRE.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
    You can get quite simple standalone MQ Java programs from this site http://www.capitalware.biz/mq_code_java.html.
    Also regarding the jars required for your application depends on the API being used. If you use MQI API few jars are required and if you decide to use JMS API you'll require few other jars. But you got to either install Websphere MQ Java Client, which will copy the jars to the respective location, or you can choose to copy the jars from some other machine manually.
    Eventually, all the jars related to MQI and JMS API will reside under /usr/mqm/java/lib/ or /var/mqm/java/lib/ UNIX Environment. And in case of WINTEL, you should find the jars under C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\lib.
    Trust it clarifies...

  • How to send message to a queue using JMS adapter

    Hi,
    I need to send messages to the default queue(demoQueue) available in the server using a JMS adapter in a BPEL process.
    I tried doing the same by using an invoke activity that invokes the JMS adapter service to send the message to the queue. I deployed this process in the server and gave an input to send it to the queue. The prcoess executed without any errors in the BPEL console.
    I am also using Hermes v1.0 to monitor the queue but it says that it dint receive any messages in the queue to read.
    I am sorry that i have restrictions from the client that i can't post the code here. Please let me know if anyone has got any solution or if you know any other way of doing the same.
    Thank you

    You can use the following procedure :
    DBMS_AQ.ENQUEUE (
    queue_name IN VARCHAR2,
    enqueue_options IN enqueue_options_t,
    message_properties IN message_properties_t,
    payload IN "<ADT_1>",
    msgid OUT RAW);

  • Push different type of messages to JMS Queue using JMS Adapter

    Platform: Oracle SOA 11g. JMS Adapter.
    I got to push different types of messages as string to same queue. JMS Adapter requires schema to push a message to a queue. Since messages are of different types, how can I push them into queue. I tried to use singleString schema. Result is that actual message gets wrapped into <singleString> root element which is not the required result.
    Any hints or links shall be appreciated.

    Thanks fo ryour reply and help. I appreciate that.
    Wrapping of original message in <singleString>  element is done by JMS Adapter as the very last activity/setting. I am not composing/transforming message into final shape with singleString through transformation.
    Once message is with JMS adapted on one end, it is in Queue on the other end. No control.
    Since consuming end is not in my control and requires the actual message in Text format, I need to have the message target queue in Text format.
    If I select the Opaque schema, following error message is thrown.
    <bpelFault><faultType>0</faultType><mismatchedAssignmentFailure xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wsbpel/2.0/process/executable"><part name="summary"><summary>Mismatch Assign. cannot set a nonmessage value to a message-based variable. • How to read flushed cluster array from input queue?

    Hi! I'm new to LabView. Can someone please help me?
    I want to use a subvi to read a queue which I created in another vi. The created queue holds an array of clusters that I want to unbundle in a for loop in the reading vi. But the output of the flush queue function is a string array (since the subvi has no info on what sort of queue is being input).
    I can't connect the unbundle function to a string input; can I use the type cast function to force the flush output to be a cluster? Or is there a better way to do this?
    And if so, what is the string constant I need to attach to the "type" input in the type cast function?
    And also, I'm told that the cluster is kind of like a "struct"; so is there a way to n
    ame it so that other vi's know what it is(i.e. type cast)?
    jen

    I did look at the help examples, but I couldn't find one that was sending the queue from one vi to another(well, not any that I could understand), and that was really my problem.
    I did get the thing to work when it was all in one vi.
    You bring up an interesting point about "dequeue" and "flush". Perhaps I am mistaken, but my reasoning for using flush rather than dequeue was the following:
    I am using the queue as a data buffer. I need the queue to hold a few minutes of data. This data is dumped to file upon fault event, i.e. it tells me what was going on right before the fault occurred. I need that queue to dump the data and then immediately turn around and start filling up again. I felt that holding on to the queue reference in the save-to-file routi
    ne (which involves lots of potentially slow hard disk access) might cause the object to lock and hence not be able to save right away. I don't know how LabView does threading, but if I was writing the threading routine, I would lock any object which was being executed upon in a routine to prevent data collision.
    Of course, this begs the question: does LabView lock all objects in a subroutine that is executing? Or just in the part which is unresolved? or does it lock objects at all? Perhaps I should flush the queue outside of the subroutine anyway, so that the subroutine can happily munch on the flushed array while my queue goes back to the business of collecting data?
    Am I way off base in how the threading works?
    Thanks!

    How can I get the file name in bpel process.
    Any help is appreciated.

    1) create a variable of message type. Click on Browse Message type. Here you select Message Type-->Project WSDL Files -->fileAdapterInboundHeader-->Message Types-->Inboundheader_msg. Then click OK
    2)Next dbl Click on teh receive Activity which is receing your File from teh File Adapter. Go to the Adapter Tab. Click on Browse variable and select the variable that you had just created above.
    This would get the File name in the variable declared

  • How to read appended objects from file with ObjectInputStream?

    Hi to everyone. I'm new to Java so my question may look really stupid to most of you but I couldn't fined a solution by myself... I wanted to make an application, something like address book that is storing information about different people. So I decided to make a class that will hold the information for each person (for example: nickname, name, e-mail, web address and so on), then using the ObjectOutputStream the information will be save to a file. If I want to add a new record for a new person I'll simply append it to the already existing file. So far so good but soon I discovered that I can not read the appended objects using ObjectInputStream.
    What I mean is that if I create new file and then in one session save several objects to it using ObjectOutputStream they all will be read with no problem by ObjectInputStream. But after that if in a new session I append new objects they won't be read. The ObjectInputStream will read the objects from the first session after that IOException will be generated and the reading will stop just before the appended objects from the second session.
    The following is just a simple test it's not actual code from the program I was talking about. Instead of objects containing different kind of information I'm using only strings here. To use the program use as arguments in the console "w" to create new file followed by the file name and the strings you want save to the file (as objects). Example: "+w TestFile.obj Thats Just A Test+". Then to read it use "r" (for reading), followed by the file name. Example "+r TestFile.obj+". As a result you'll see that all the strings that are saved in the file can be successfully read back. Then do the same: "+w TestFile.obj Thats Second Test+" and then read again "+r TestFile.obj+". What will happen is that the strings only from the first sessions will be read and the ones from the second session will not.
    I am sorry for making this that long but I couldn't explain it more simple. If someone can give me a solution I'll be happy to hear it! ^.^ I'll also be glad if someone propose different approach of the problem! Here is the code:
    import java.io.*;
    class Fio
         public static void main(String[] args)
              try
                   if (args[0].equals("w"))
                        FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream(args[1], true);
                        ObjectOutputStream oos = new ObjectOutputStream(fos);
                        for (int i = 2; i < args.length ; i++)
                             oos.writeObject(args);
                        fos.close();
                   else if (args[0].equals("r"))
                        FileInputStream fis = new FileInputStream(args[1]);
                        ObjectInputStream ois = new ObjectInputStream(fis);
                        for (int i = 0; i < fis.available(); i++)
                             System.out.println((String)ois.readObject());
                        fis.close();
                   else
                        System.out.println("Wrong args!");
              catch (IndexOutOfBoundsException exc)
                   System.out.println("You must use \"w\" or \"r\" followed by the file name as args!");
              catch (IOException exc)
                   System.out.println("I/O exception appeard!");
              catch (ClassNotFoundException exc)
                   System.out.println("Can not find the needed class");

    How to read appended objects from file with ObjectInputStream? The short answer is you can't.
    The long answer is you can if you put some work into it. The general outline would be to create a file with a format that will allow the storage of multiple streams within it. If you use a RandomAccessFile, you can create a header containing the length. If you use streams, you'll have to use a block protocol. The reason for this is that I don't think ObjectInputStream is guaranteed to read the same number of bytes ObjectOutputStream writes to it (e.g., it could skip ending padding or such).
    Next, you'll need to create an object that can return more InputStream objects, one per stream written to the file.
    Not trivial, but that's how you'd do it.

  • Read message synchronously from JMS queue using OSB

    Hi,
    Is it possible to read message from the JMS queue using OSB based on the request invocation. I know messages can be read from the queue but it will be polling based.
    The requirement is to have an OSB proxy service (HTTP service ) an an interface to the client application. Client application invokes the proxy service and the proxy service need to read message from the JMS queue and provide the message as response to the client.
    Let me know if there are any pointers.

    Hi,
    I spent some time trying to do this and apart from creating custom database tables etc. I was not able to achieve this.
    We wanted to use in memory JMS queues in our situation.
    In the end we developed a Java Web Service which preformed the on-demand read from the queue (using a particular message selector)
    This is working for us without a problem

    Well because i could import the Model into the WD Component in NWDS with the given JCo i have no clue why this error is now popping up.
    Does someone have some experience with this phenomenon?!

    How can a JMS adapter be configured in BPEL to consume messages from multiple queues ?

    If you want to use JMS with AQ as datastore then there is some configuration you need to do to enable this. This is outside SOA Suite per sa, e.g. no adapter required.
    If you want to connect to the AQ direct then use the AQ adapter.

  • How to get the XML messages from JMS Queue in BPM

    I have one requirement in my application.we are sending XML messages to the JMS Queue.How to get the XML messages from JMS Queue and how to Extract the details from XMl.
    can you please send me the code to get the XML messages from the JMS Queue.
    Thank you,

    Hi,
    Sure others will have some other ideas, but here's what I typically do to get the XML from a JMS queue. Inside the Global Automatic that pops the messages off the queue you'd have logic similar to this:
    artifactInfoNodes as Any[]
    xmlObject as Fuego.Xml.XMLObject = XMLObject()
    load xmlObject using xmlText = message.textValue
    . . . Once you have this, it's a matter of deciding what you want to do with the message. Most times you'll parse the XML (using XPATH statemens), set argument variables and create a work item instance.
    Hope this helps,
    Dan

  • How can I send a message from database to a J2EE application?

    How can I send a message from database to a J2EE application?
    If I have a codetable in database that has new or modified values I have to refresh the codetable in my J2EE application.
    Most effective way would be send a message to initiate a table reload from J2EE app, but I don't know how to do this.
    Now I have a background thread that regular reads the table and looks for changes.

    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/bam/10.1.3/TechNotes/TechNote_BAM_AQ_Configuration.pdf
    This document details how to create triggers on a table that send out JMS messages.
    In this example, the messages are going to Oracle BAM.. your message could go to your J2EE application listening to its own topic/queue.
    an alternative idea.
    you could also just cache your lookup table with something like Oracle Coherence and than try to ensure that all changes to the lookup go through Coherence, so that you won't need to do notification from the db up to the application. the application and the lookup data management tool would be using the data grid for management of the lookup table data, and the data grid (coherence) would persist the lookup data changes back to the db.
