How to read selected item value from DropDownList?

Hi,
The DropDownList component has a selectedItem property that is supposed to return a ListBase.
But what I want is just the "String" that is supposed to be the selected Item in the DropDownList.
How can I read this value?

Hi,
The selection screen parameters will be on an inputField, so try and get the is of the inputfield generated by doing View source...
And once you get the inputfield Id, you can read the value in the InputField(InF) by
using the following code...!
data : if_value type ref to cl_htmlb_inputfield.
data : variable type string.
if_value ?= cl_htmlb_manager=>get_data( request = request
                                            name    = 'inputField'
                                            id      = 'InF_ID_here'
       if if_value->value is not initial.
         variable = if_value->value.
       endif.

I bind the a selectOneChoice component to my backing bean so i have an object which represent this component in the backing bean.
now i need to find which item is selected by use , i know that i can use
getSelect_service().getValue.toString() , but it will return the value of the selected item, how about its display text ?
I should say that i create an static list for selectOneChoice items.

Using JDeveloper 10.1.3.1, freshly downloaded off OTN. I used the following code to try and identify the problem you are encountering. I attempted to use a valueChangeListener in combination with af:selectOneChoice components that use SelectItems and the singular SelectItem. I could not reproduce the error in either case. I am creating my first Table Control Screen. Basically I have to create a screen (102) with a table control which has 2 fields: A_QTY, B_QTY and 2 Buttons: SAVE, EXIT.
When Clicked on 'SAVE' the data (MATNR) from a previous screen (101) and the data (A_QTY, B_QTY) from the new screen (102) should be saved into a Z-table.
Internal table t_data has 3 fields.
MATNR
A_QTY
B_QTY.
Table Control TC_RACK was declared like this:
controls tc_rack type tableview using screen 0102.
I/0 Fields:
A_QTY type ZQTY.
B_QTY type ZQTY.
The screen Flow Logic:
process before output.

You should use
DATA: lv_name(30) TYPE c.
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <QTY> type ZQTY.
GET CURSOR FIELD lv_name.   "Get the field name in table control
check sy-subrc = 0.
assign (lv_name) to <QTY>. "Here you get the value in <QTY>
check sy-subrc = 0.
Also use <your table control>-current_line to get the table index uo're currently on.
Hint: Do not use GET CURSOR LINE if you want to get table index since this gives you the line relative to dialog screen

I got your requirement. I really dont know the scenario your working on but its possible to do it. There is no direct way to do so, but complexity is in getting to know the Keys dynamically from interface.

Depending on the message the line number might be in one of the fields:
MESSAGE_V1
MESSAGE_V2
MESSAGE_V3
MESSAGE_V4
Although if the message simply is not meant to include the line number, it won't be there. That's the way it is. If there is a user exit available, you may add your custom messages with the line number. In some user exits (in sales order for sure) there is a special variable (flag), which is set when the BAPI runs the transaction.

How can i get all values from jtable with out selecting?

i have one input table and two output tables (name it as output1, output2). Selected rows from input table are displayed in output1 table. The data in output1 table is temporary(means the dat wont store in database just for display purpose).
Actually what i want is how can i get all values from output1 table to output2 table with out selecting the data in output1 table?

How to select multiple values from the Parameters defined in the concurrent program...and i believe multiple selection is not a direct feature of EBS, but is there any workaround solution to acheive mulitple selection?

I think there's no way to do that using standard feature.
Some workaround I use :
1. If the number of selections are fixed, you could use multiple parameters for the same valueset. For example :
Selection1 : <choose first selection>
Selection2: <choose 2nd selection>
..etc.
If you don't use it then leave it empty.
2. Use text varchar valueset and enter it manually and separate by comma (or other value) , eg : selection1,selection2,selection3....etc.

You cannot do this directly as exclusion, but you can include all other values, even as ranges and thus exclude the particular value, else you can also try to do this by writing a routine.

I'm fairly new to this, but I think it has to do with the way you have the drop downs named. Did you copy one then keep pasting it in each field? If so, that is the problem. You should rename each one with a different number: Dropdown1, Dropdown2, etc. I think that might solve the issue.
