We are using the Cisco 2960s Switches in our network. We have two failed switches and asked for replacement from our supplier. They informed that the 2960s model is approaching End Of Service (EOS) and the replacement of that model are as below:

Catalyst 2960-X 24 GigE, 4 x 1G SFP, LAN Base
2-WS-C2960S-24TS-L
Catalyst 2960S 24 GigE, 4 x SFP LAN Base
What is the best practice to make my decision of which to select? will it make difference from the configuration perspective? is there a possibility for conflict with the existing 2960s Switches?

Time for you to talk to your supplier. Cisco has announced the EoS/EoL for the 2960S back in November 2014 (End-of-Sale and End-of-Life Announcement for the Cisco Catalyst 2960-S Series and 2960-SF Series Switches). However, this only means the date of November 2014 is just a date of announcement. The final date of sale for the 2960S is November 2015.
I think your supplier either is getting confused (didn't read the announcement properly or didn't know) or is just looking for ways to make more money.
is there a possibility for conflict with the existing 2960s Switches?
You can form a stack of 2960S and 2960X. Just know the limitations, and they are:
1. The entire stack must have the same IOS versions;
2. The stack speed will drop from 20 Gbps (2960X) to 10 Gbps because 2960S has been set to run only at this speed; and
3. You cannot have five or more in a stack if you have a 2960S as a member of the stack.

I would just ask the 3rd party that created the PDF if they could supply unencrypted files. If there is some reason they will not, I am surprised that they have not restricted printing. Normally when Acrobat security is set, you can not print to a new PDF, even if printing is allowed. One option is to provide the ID and password to the other folks who need to review the PDFs. On the surface, there seems to be a license issue with what you are trying to do and you may need to be careful that the company is not at risk. That is why I am suggesting to coordinate with the 3rd party.

Having a problem with PEAP and Cisco 2960 Switch

Hi All,
    I am attempting to use PEAP with a LDAP backend on FreeRadius witht he MS Supplicant. I have it all working, in debug on the Radius server I see it sending all the information, the tunnel, medium etc. but with PEAP the Cisco switch is not changing VLANS. If I install the Cisco or Juniper client it works just fine if I use eap-mschapv2 but peap-mschapv2 does not switch the port to the right vlan. Is there something extra on the switch I need to do to allows PEAP or is there something on the FreeRadius?
    The only difference between the PEAP and EAP versions that I can tell is that the PEAP authenticates ands the information is sent once(according to the debug on the Radius server) where as with the EAP the connection information is sent several times, that is I will see the Tunnell and medium info sent more then once in the Radius log for just one login.
Any ideas?

Thought I mentioned the client in the first post, I am using the 3 different types of clients with a goal of getting the MS client to work. I am using the Juniper Odyssey client, Cisco CSSC client and the MS built-in client. I mentioned the EAP-MSChanpV2 because I tested that login so I could compare the Radius output with that of PEAP-MSChapV2. I did not release logs from the Radius server because it seems to be centered with something on the switch changing Vlans but if you want output I can give that..

How to reset password on Cisco CSS 11501?

I have changed the password for the Admin user (which was SuperUser) but when I changed it I forgot to add "SuperUser" at the end, now I don't have SuperUser access to the CSS 11501.
Can anyone shade some light on this problem and explain how can I reset the password for a SuperUser?

Hi Shai,
You need to reboot the CSS. When prompt, hit any key to go into the Offline Diagnostic Menu.
When you get in the menu, you will go to Administrative options and create an additional Admin user. When you do this, DO NOT use "admin", use something totally different.
Get out of the Offline DM and reboot the CSS. When the CSS comes up, login as the new user (which will have Superuser rights) and run the "username" cli to change the password of "admin" and add the superuser part this time.

You have to remember either your BBID password or the security question , otherwise you are struck !
You can try calling your Carrier to know if they can help you in resetting your BlackBerry ID password Or login to your email account that you used for BlackBerry ID , search your Inbox and find the original email which was send for BlackBerry ID confirmation , you can delete your BlackBerry ID from there which will allow you to use the same email or username for your BlackBerry ID .
If all above fails then as last option you have to Create a new BlackBerry ID and start all over again, for help refer to this Knowledge Base Article :

Please note, while doing so you'll loose access to any of your paid apps if you bought it from BlackBerry world .

How to recover passwords, and favorites from Windows.old

I had to install Windows 7 over Windows 7 due to an error I had. I need to recover my passwords/favorites in some way or another. The reason I had this put under Sync is because I had my computer synced to my phone.
First off is it possible to recover the data from the Windows.old file? (Any way how to)
-Ive tried the way I found on google that did not work.
Secondly, when I am in the process of syncing to my phone it gives 3 options on the advanced options, I obviously hit the "Replace all data on this computer with my Sync data".
It says I have 88 bookmarks, but it says that they are on the computer. So that obviously means that they should be able to be recovered without syncing. How would I go about recovering them without replacing everything on my computer with my phone.
Third off, if it is possible to recover my passwords from the Windows.old then please let me know. Thats the most important thing to me.

In the past, there were folders you could copy, but given the database changes, I'm not sure, I need to check first with the team.
On a Mac, it is in the collections folders in ~Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe/Bridge CS5/Collections/
PC(XP): C:Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Adobe\Bridge CS5\collections
VIsta/7: user/app data/roaming/Adobe/Bridge CS5/Collections
