How to recreate a RH 7 HTML project from output

Hi all,
Have just been hired to work on a project that has a help system for which the source files are lost. We have the a zip of the webhelp output so re-creating the topics is not a problem. I found the June 2004 article on RoboWizard about this but am still stuck. I re-created the folder structure as it said and imported files from the old output. Where I'm stuck is how I might get the glossary with associated hotspots re-created as well as the index. Also stuck on the part about deleting JS code. It says to delete all the red boxes, but when I do I lose breadcrumbs and also related topics links. It also says you need to re-establish DHTML, but the drop-down text in the project seem to work find when I built new output.
Unfortunately the computer this project lived on has been wiped clean and the tech writer (no longer here) only backed up the output, not the source files.
No doubt this won't be the last of my questions! But any help with this so far would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to set "Output Format" for "RAW Text" to HTM in SCOT.
If HTM is missing in your dropdown-list, you could check out table SXCONVERT2. Copy the line with category T/format TXT, and change the format from TXT to HTM. The existing function
SX_OBJECT_CONVERT__T.TXT does not need to be changed. Now you should be able to choose HTM in SCOT. You will probably need som HTML-tags in your text to make it look good.

Hi,
You can embed the form on your website, but you need to make sure that javascript has been enabled in the browser. You need to copy the embed code and add it into your HTML code. If you would like FormsCentral to generate embeded HTML form without using javascript, you may post a feature request and vote it. Hope it helps! Thanks!

Creating a new RH9 HTML project from legacy project

Hello,
I am contemplating creating a new project from scratch from the monster that my current RH9 HTML project has become. I would appreciate advice on whether this is the best approach and if so, how to proceed. Here is background:
I have an RH9 HTML project with 3500+ topics. This project was created with the first version of RoboHelp, back in the Blue Sky software days, about 15 years ago. Each time the RH software was sold to a new company, we ran into major issues with conversions and upgrades. The project kept growing and several times we ran into problems that had to be escalated to the top levels of support with the current owner of the software. Many times the best we could do is create workarounds. The number of files created over the years for this project has become enormous and I'm sure there are many which could be safely deleted but I'm not sure how to find out which ones without lots of trial and painful error.
The most recent issue that came up was the sudden disappearance of all links between map IDs and topic titles for my context-sensitive topics. I posted here but eventually went to Adobe Support. After long and involved conversation and testing, we determined that one of the topics was corrupted and I was advised to start deleting topics and adding them back until the bad one was discovered. It was a very time-consuming process, and is an example of the other problems encountered, usually one major meltdown like this per year, give or take.
The project was first created in MS Word 97, with lots of fancy formatting and frills. Eventually I was convinced by members of this forum to switch to RH HTML, so most of that formatting went away, but sometimes not in a nice way.
So bottom line, I have way too many files, lots of them are messy, and I want to make a nice, clean project and have an easier life.
What do you experts have to say?

How can I delete my deleted GarageBand projects from my Dock?

Hi everyone,
Since recently I've been using GarageBand again. After recording and deleting some songs, I noticed that the projects are still located on my Dock.
When right-clicking the GarageBand icon, they're located above Options. Also under 'Show Recent Files' (translated from Dutch), though when I click them, they can't open (for I've already deleted them through Finder - Users - Music - Garageband > Trash Bin (translated from Dutch)).
What I've been trying to figure out is, does anybody have a clue how to delete the GarageBand projects from Dock?
PS: It's annoying seeing those silly-named projects :[

Lauch GarageBand,
and from the main menu bar select:
File > Open Recent > Clear Menu.
Then quit GarageBand again and log off.
The next time you log on, the Dock recent menu should be empty.

How can I compile my imported Catalyst project from FB to Android?

Hi Guys,
I started to play with Catalyst (Panini), and I got very excited by it, and wound up building a full very polished app. All the while, I had the idea I would import this into Flash Builder, then compile from there it to run on Android. However, when I actually went to do this, there was no option in FB (Burrito) to build my project as a mobile one. If I create a new project from scratch in FB, then I get the mobile option. But I cant seem to make my imported catalyst app show up any mobile build options as all - only web project ones. Its very frustrating, as I have made standalone test SWFs and dropboxed them onto my phone - and the app works well!!
Im sure I have missed something really simple - can anyone point me in the right direction? I suspect it might have something to do with creating a build profile? Or is there a config I missed in Catalyst? Im no dev-head - so those FB build config screens look a bit intimidating. I might eb able to muddle my way through configuring my Andoind SDK as a build profile - if thats whats I need to do? All help greatly appreciated!

Well, no answers here.
I had sety up all my content in a layered Pshop doc first (As Catalyst doc design reccommends). So I have imported that into Flash and I will re-do the animation in Flash to get it onto the Android platform. Its very disappointing as the Catalyst workflow was really appealing, I found I could focus on the content and not worry too much about doing the wrong thing setting up the interactivity.
Flash Builder on the other hand isnt very Designer freindly at all. Once I got there with my project, I was sweet out of luck getting it anywhere else. Im going to use Flash because it looks like the workflow in the Flash packager for Android is easy to understand and follow.

How do I move a referenced Aperture project from a laptop to desktop?

I utilize Aperture by reference rather than managed.
I have a project on my laptop that I want to tranfer including all versions, crops and rated images onto my desktop as a referenced project.
If I export Project as a New Library on my laptop and import as library on my desktop, everything comes over BUT it is now a managed library with no corresponding folder in Pictures.
If I simply copy the referenced folder to the desktop and Import Folders as Projects, the only versions that transfer as cropped and processed are those images processed by an external editor (ie Nik) but nothing else.
SO, I'm going crazy thinking either Apple just doesn't really want me using a referenced library (thinking someday I will easily jump ship to Lightroom which I am now seriously considering) OR I am missing something in the process.
Can anyone assist with this somewhat technical issue?

How can I convert a poorly exported project from 6.* to 7.0?

I made a critical mistake some years ago. I used the advanced
features of the save option to write out my project with all the
sub-vi's and libraries. Now I have a version 7 LabView I am
attempting to convert it. The trouble is that many of the
features that I use in the project (serial I/O, equation parsing, card
initialization) are part of the distribution. The real nub hit
when I tried to replace the locally defined equation parsing vi with
the one defined in the system. The system vi would not run bcause
the underliing function exists inside the lvanlys.lib stored locally,
which does not convert.
How can I extricate all the parts of my considerably complex vi that
are my creation from the bits that should be part of LabView?

I bought a Mac iOS 10.9 . I just finished a project in Adobe Première , extension .m2v and I cannot export to my external HD to burn a blu-ray in my PC (windows). What should I do ?

Open Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility and see how the drive is formatted. If it is NFTS (?), you won't be able to write to it without using 3rd party software. Try reformatting the drive as ExFat or MS Dos (Fat). Note this will erase what is on the drive.

How do I import an iMovie 11 project from a target disk (powerbook may have to be reformatted)

My Powerbook G4 fails to boot (even in safe mode) and I'm unable to repair the disk using Disk Utility. I can access the user files on the laptop after connecting with a firewire cable but the drive does not appear in iMovie and I do not see a way to import the projects. I have transfered all the user folders to my desktop computer and I plan on reformating the powerbook but I need to make sure I can recover the iMovie projects. Any suggestions?

Update: I have gotten the videos off of the drive and put them back into the iMovie projects folder. The music is still there and the transitions are present as well, but when I play the movie, the image shown says "source clip is missing" in the video, even though the image thumbnails are there in the "Project Library" screen Are the clips damaged in any way?

Do you know if it is possible to send an e-mail in HTML format (instead of RAW) from a "send mail" node in a workflow ? ... if "yes", please, let me know.
(I need to do that because I want to use the "href" tag to insert an hyperlink inside the e-mail)
- I haven't found any parameter to specify the format of the e-mail.
- Inside SCOT I tried to change the parameters for the SMTP node... without success.
- I don't want to use a task calling the FM SO_OBJECT_SEND.
