How to remove any view from material master

Hello guys,
   Actually we can attach the view to material master by MM01 and also by MM50.
   Now,consider this, in my company even we sale the semifinished material along with the finished material.So we have attached the sales view to semifinished material and finished material.Now my company has decided to not to sale the semifinished material.So there is no sense in keeping the sales view in material master of semifinished material.So we want to remove the sales view from the material master of semifinished material.
     So could you guys help me out to do this?

From the config for Material type attributes you can change the views relevant to Material type means you can unselect the sales views - that will definately take care of the new materials that will be created. But for the existing one's and the data is something you need to see and investigate
I would advice you to check all the aspects in dev client and then take a decision.

How to remove leading zero from Material Number

Hello Everyone,
I need to figure it out how to remove leading zero from material number. Cureently extractor is sending material number as 100663. But when comes into BI i am getting as "000000000000100663" and similariy in report it is appearing as "000000000000100663". Now my client wants me to exclude preceeding zero for a material in all the reports.
Is there any setting in query desinger to handle this issure or in the backend.

you can use the function Module
CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT in the start routine
to test this go to SE37 --- give the CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT -
>display -
> F8
in the input give 000000456
and execute
the out put will be 456
for getting Zeros you can use
CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT--- to remove leading zeros

Deleting of future price in accouning 1 View from material master.

Hi,
During month end process of CKMLCP, we have done the marking activity. so that the system updated the future price for all materails under specified plants. this is valid from 31.03.2008. by this time the system was not released the price automatically even, the valuation area (plant) is activated with automatic release. when doing of production confirmations for the current period, the system is throwing error as "future price and standard price exists". when we deleting the future price manually through MM02 transaction the systm is allowing to do production confirmation.
Kindly suggest me any transaction code which deletes the future price in accounting 1 view of material master, which is updated because of marking done through CKMLCP.

We tried to delete the price through CKR1 transaction. after giving of parameters of material and plant blant screen is coming.
i think CKR1 is useful for deleting of future price updated through costing run i.e., CK40N marking.
But in this case when we scrutinise, this is updated through CKMLCP transaction.
after performing of "post closing" activity through CKMLCP,
i think SAP has provided another Tab i.e., Mark Material Prices. by this time the system will mark future price at current periodic cost. and at the same time there is a provision to give date either manual date or select the radio button of beginning of following period in parameters tab.there is no provision for giving of valid date upto.
may be this is useful to update the standared cost estimate with current actual.
I am also not sure why user have given data as 31.03.2008. usually they are not suppose to do this marking, but, by mistake they have performed.
Kindly correct me if any mistake and suggest any other way which will delete the future price in accounting 1 view of material master.

Need solution for how to identify excat View in Material master tran (MM02)

Can any body help out of this,
I am doing MM02 updation for perticularly a field like Abnormal Quantity field in MRP2 View .
I have done Recording using One material say XXX material so it is working for that material, But here issue is if iam using another material it is going another View like MRP3 because every material having different Material Types.
How to over come this situation is ther any Function modules for this or any other way ?.

For this , just check in the code for material type .
Ask your functional the no. of views each material type would be having .
Now in the code depending upon the material type , execute different BDC code according to number of views .
Its a bit lengthy solution as will increase the coding but will work.

Remove planned price from material master

Hi,
By error we have a price in the planned price field MBEW-ZPLP1 , i have noticed on mass change MM17 there does not seem to be ZPLP1, does anyone know how we can remove this price from the material masters without going in each material individually?

How to remove old Class in Material master?

Hello SAP gurus,
A class has been assigned to one material and now my requirement is assign a new class to the material. Now the issue is after assign the new class while using the material in an order all the characteristic (from old and new class) is populating.
So is it possible to remove the old Class from that material?

To delete the old class their are 2 options available to you .
1 )
To delete the old class you have to remove the assignments of where
it is used . Please access the old class in CL03 and then the menu
path "Environment - Where used list"
Once all assignments are removed you should be able to delete the class
2)
You could use a change number created in transaction CC01 to delete
the class from the classification view.
Please review note 166530 which explains about the deletion of
classification data.
Please refer to the online documentation at help.sap.com and the
Classification section where it states :
Once you have used engineering change management to process
characteristics, characteristics of a class, or classifications, you
must use engineering change management for all further changes.

How to hide the views in material master

Dear All,
For a the Material type u2013 HALB(Semi finished goods) we have 2 Basic views, 3 Sales views, 1 purchase view, 4 MRP views and 2 costing views.
We have given authorization according to the material type. The PP key user is given authorization for MM01, MM02 for the material type HALB. Other key users, even if they have MM01 and MM02 authorization, they can not create or change the material that comes under material type HALB.
Now the requirement is I want to give MM02 authorization to SD key user for the materials under material type HALB with restrictions. SD key user will be allowed to change the basic and sales views. So, I want to hide 1 purchase view, 4 MRP views and 2 costing views. How will be this achieved? Your suggestions are solicited.

I created a role ZMM01; this role has authorization to view all ROH material type. I did it through authorization group. I assigned all the eligible views to ROH (K- basic data, B- accounting, C- classification .... and so on) in the object M_MATE_STA.
I created another role ZMM02; this role has authorization to view all HALB material type. I did it through authorization group. I assinged only few views here. They are Basic view - K, Plant Stock - X, Storage location stock - Z.
I created one user ZMMUSER. When I assign the role ZMM02 only to the user ZMMUSER, the system dispalys only the HALB material types with view K, X, Z. When I assign the user roles ZMM01 and ZMM02, the system shows the HALB material types with all views.
My requirement is the user ZMMUSER should be able to view or change all the ROH material with all views and the HALB material with limited views. How can this be acheived?

GTS How to get commodity code from material master ? function/ table

Hello,
I have to write a "simple" program in GTS system. (In SD Commodity code is field MARC-STAWN )
The customer wants to enter material numbers ( from x to y )
and the program should display:
Material--Material text--Commodity codevalidity from--
validity to

(The customer wants to have a look if all Commodity codes in GTS are maintained)
Can someone give me the name of the tables where it is stored in GTS?
Or are there any function calls to get material data?

You have to consider the following tables:
/SAPSLL/PNTPR --> product number and GUID
/SAPSLL/PRCTS --> product GUID and GUID of commodity code
/SAPSLL/CTSNUM or /SAPSLL/CTSNUMC--> commodity code (general or country specific)
/SAPSLL/CTSNUMT --> commodity code description
/SAPSLL/PRT --> material description

Hello Kara,
To main classification in all materials follow the below process.
Go to t code MM50.
Insert material no. or number range, and material view from Maintenance status (classification) and after that press execute (F8) button.
Click on the check box and press Maintain materials button.
Select required class types and press enter.
Finally press save button.

Views are dependent on the the material type.
if u do not want a view for a material type then, u can go to tcode OMS2 and there u can deselect the view in the userdepartment. and save.
Now that view wont be their for that material type.

Before this .. I have done all activities also ...clear open SD documnets ,deliveriy documents ,PO documents ,Process order teco and . reservations and activae deletion flag in batch ... and made current period stock an previous period stock zero... i have cleard all documnets ...still system does not allow remove indicator..could you please guide in this issue ..how to remove batch indicator.

Removal of batch management indicator from material master

I had removed all batch stock from material code but when trying to remove batch management indicator from material master system is giving the message "batches already exist"

   The material is NEW and Batch Managed. No stocks, orders, batches are existing.
   If the Batch Management indicator is removed in Material Master, is there any way *to see/track the batch/lot * of the product.
Scenarios: Material is NOT Batch Managed
1.     How to track a batch received for Purchase order.
2.     How to track a Batch created in a Production order.
3.     How to track a Batch in Sales Order.

As long as no serial numbers exist for the material you are able to cancel or change the serial number profile.
As soon as serial numbers exist for the material and you want to change or delete the serial number profile, you must note the following:
The previously assigned serial numbers are no longer suited to the current serial number profile.
The indicator for the stock check may have changed. If this is the case, you can copy the profile settings in the serial number using the executable report program RISERNR9. However, you should only start this program once the changes have been updated in the material master record.
You can no longer delete the serial number profile in the material master record. Instead of this, you create a serial number profile without serialization procedures in Customizing and enter this in the material master record.
