How to remove external contact from office 365 Global Address List

Try this below.
$file1 = "file1.csv"
$file2 = "file2.csv"
$f2Names = import-csv $file2 | select -ExpandProperty Name
Import-Csv $file1 |
Where { $f2Names -notcontains $_.Name }

We have an office 365 online service.  We have successfully imported and updated via csv and powershell scripts as part of managing external contacts.
how can we delete using the same structure?  CSV file and powershell scripts

  • Remove Render Blocking From Office 365 Public Facing Website

    Please does anyone know how to solve this?
    Im trying to optimise my office 365 public facing website with search engines such as Google. Google has found a number of errors on all my pages, one being this Remove Render Blocking from Javascript & Optimise CSS Delivery. What does this mean and
    how do i fix this? Must be someone out there that knows surely.
    The notes Google left where: None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following
    resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML.
    Thanks

    I feel like I'm losing my mind! Here is a  Fortune 500 company web site using Sharepoint public facing: http://www.constellation.com/pages/default.aspx.
    Just vaildated it; it contains 93 errors!! Another has a slow-moving Flash component that cannot be controlled by the user and looks like it was built in 1995 at best: http://www.viacom.com/Pages/default.aspx . It contains 59 errors.
    What is going on here? The combination of "Cloud" computing and mobile devices is destroying web design! We are regressing!

  • How do I upload contacts from iPhone to Mac Address book

    I recently purchased both an iPhone and MacBook Pro. I have all my contacts in my phone, and want to sync them with address book on the mac. But when I go to Address Book on the laptop to import, the iPhone is not listed under devices. How do I access/sync the contacts from my phone?

    iTunes handles the sync. Post in the iPhone forums.

  • How to remove duplicate friends from games in game center lists

    In one of my Games it lists multiple duplications of friends for that specific game. How do you delete these extra "listings" for these people. I dont really want have to delete them altogether and go through the process of reinviting.

    I've tried signing out and back in again. It doesn't do anything. I still get the unnecesarily long list of duplicate phone numbers and have 2 or 3 of them randomly tick marked. I've tried this multiple times, it doesn't get rid of them at all. As far as I'm concerned, my friends do receive my iMessage from my number rather than my email. I just find it a nuisance to have such a long list of my phone number 25 times over. I don't think it affects anything though, but any way to get rid of them would be great.
    Also, it's been 3 days and it still says "waiting for activation" on my iMessage and Facetime settings. How long does this take? As far as I know, my friends have told me iMessaging with me is flawless but I'm confused as to why it's still trying to activate.

  • Display of names in the TO: filed from the Exchange Global Address List

    We have a user whose "FIRST" name in Active Directory consists of two names. Like Mary Ellen or Bobby Jo. But both names have been enetered in the TO: field. She is very adamant that she be addressed by both names.
    When she receives a message, and if details is clicked, she will see the names of all who the message has been sent to, and she sees only the first part of her name and then her last name. So in the TO: field she'll see Mary Jones instead of Mary Ellen Jones, as an example. If you touch the name, the details will come up and show her full name. However she would like to see the complete "Mary Ellen Jones" in the TO: button. I have discovered that if you enter her name as she wishes in her own contact list, it will then also show all three names as she wiashes. Thought I had her there, but she doesn't want OTHER users who have iPhones to see only Mary Jones, and then would mean I'd someoehow have to populate everyone in the world she sends mail to who have iPhones with her full name in their contacts list. yea.
    So is there anyway of having the iphone display the COMPLETE first name it finds in Active Directory instead of just the first part of the first name? So have it show Mary Ellen Jones instead of Mary Jones.

  • How do u delete a contact from a group in address book?

    I have been on address book help and have found where it clearly explains how to remove a contact from a group? Problem is the program will not highlight the option in the edit menu to perform this action...what gives???

    In your address book on the iMac drag the contact to the All on My Mac section.
    Check that section to make sure the contact copied there correctly. Next remove it from the iCloud section and thus from your other devices.

  • Why is a 'globe' contact available in Global Address List (which belongs to AD), but I cannot find it on AD server?

    I dot not make sense about why a 'globe' contact is available in Global Address List (which belongs to AD), but I cannot find it on AD server? I think the cause relates to Exchange server.
    Could you give me an explaination!
    Thanks advance.

    And here the Documentation:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201680.aspx
    Mail contacts
    Mail contacts typically contain information about people or organizations that exist outside your Exchange organization. Mail contacts can appear in your organization’s shared address book (also called the global address list or GAL) and other address lists,
    and can be added as members to distribution groups. Each contact has an external email address, and all email messages that are sent to a contact are automatically forwarded to that address. Contacts are ideal for representing people external to your Exchange
    organization (in the shared address book) who don't need access to any internal resources. The following are mail contact types:
    Mail contacts   These are mail-enabled Active Directory contacts that contain information about people or organizations that exist outside your Exchange organization.
    Mail forest contacts   These represent recipient objects from another forest. These contacts are typically created by directory synchronization. Mail forest contacts are read-only recipient objects that can be updated or
    removed only by means of synchronization. You can't use Exchange management interfaces to modify or remove a mail forest contact.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to download content of wiki pages on SharePoint Online.
    If just for getting the text of the page, I suggest you convert page to PDF file first and then download the PDF file via a Visual Web Part as a Sandboxed solution.

  • Opportunistic TLS removed from Office 365?

    Team.
       I have an open question regarding changes to the mail flow connector for Exchange Online:http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/156/p/343149/929997.aspx#929997
    Hello all,
        I'm working on a Hybrid 2010 configuration.  When modify the connectors in Exchange Online EAC, I noticed that the connectors changes, and opportunistic TLS is gone.
    What happened?  Can someone please provide some information regarding the TLS changes?  Did opportunistic TLS get removed?
    I was following these articles:
    Configure mail flow using connectors in Office 365
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms.exch.eac.connectorselection(v=exchg.150).aspx
    Set up connectors to route mail between Office 365 and your own email servers
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn751020(v=exchg.150).aspx
    Any information on theses changes will be appreciated.

    Hi Kloud,
    I didn’t find any official documentation about that. The connectors page in
    Exchange admin center has just been updated, so we may not have relevant documentation at this point. If I find any, I’ll let you know.
    Meanwhile, I suggest you submit your feedback to let our relevant team know that you need an official documentation about the
    Opportunistic TLS of new connectors.
    Thanks for your understanding.
    Best Regards,
    Allen
    Do you know the answer to this question?  Or, are you planning to post something on these changes?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    What’s your scenario for creating a connector?
    I noticed that you are using Exchange 2010-based hybrid deployment. Generally, when configuring a hybrid configuration using the Hybrid Configuration wizard, one of the things it creates is a new receive connector named “Inbound from Office 365” on each
    hybrid transport server.
    This connector is set to only accept incoming SMTP sessions from a specific set of IP ranges, which are associated with the FOPE service used in Office 365. Please check your receive connector and send connector for Hybrid environment in EAC and share the
    configuration information here for further analysis.
    Additionally, here is a reference about Hybrid 2010 Configuration for mail flow:

  • How to download a file version from office 365 using csom

    I need to download an older file version from office 365 and get the data into a byte array. I have no trouble downloading the latest version with File.OpenBinaryStream() and I have no trouble loading the previous file versions with File.Versions. But now
    I need to actually download an older version of the file and it seems the only way is to use File.OpenBinaryDirect. So I am creating a client context using my oAuth access token and providing the correct path, but I am getting a (401) Unauthorized
    error. Looking with Fiddler I can see that the call to OpenBinaryDirect is somehow trying to post to my file URL and the server is responding with 401.
    context = TokenHelper.GetClientContextWithAccessToken(SPHostUrl, AccessToken);
    FileInformation info = File.OpenBinaryDirect(context, "/" + _fileVersion.Url);  //throws 401
    //leading slash required otherwise ArgumentOutOfRangeException
    I have to be able to access the older file versions with my c# code -- I don't have a viable app without that ability -- any help urgently needed and greatly appreciated!

    Thank you SO much (Can't wait for the next release)!
    For anyone else who lands here, here's the code I ended up using:
    // VersionAccessUser and VersionAccessPassword are stored in web.config
    // web.Url is loaded via the clientContext
    // myVersion is the FileVersion I got from the file's Versions.GetById() method
    // probably a lot of ways to get hostUrl, it just needs to be https://yourdomain.sharepoint.com/
    // - I'm running my app from a subweb
    // I had trouble following the links to get the full MsOnlineClaimsHelper code
    // (the one on msdn.com was missing RequestBodyWriter, WSTrustFeb2005ContractClient,
    // and IWSTrustFeb2005Contract
    // so I've included the code I used here.
    string myVersionFullUrl = string.Format("{0}/{1}", web.Url, myVersion.Url);
    string userName = WebConfigurationManager.AppSettings.Get("VersionAccessUser");
    string strPassword = WebConfigurationManager.AppSettings.Get("VersionAccessPassword");
    string hostUrl = Regex.Replace(web.Url, "([^/]+//[^/]+/).*", "$1");

    client.Headers.Add(HttpRequestHeader.Cookie, claimsHelper.CookieContainer.GetCookieHeader(new Uri(hostUrl)));
    var document = client.DownloadString(myVersionFullUrl);

    I have 3 iPhones, one iPad and 2 PC's, all using the same iTunes account.  I want to be able to have each iPhone keep their own list of accounts and music list and the I pad different as well.  I want to 2 PC's music list to match.  How do I do this?
    Additionally, when I connected iPhone #3 to one PC, it removed the contacts from #3 and replaced it with contacts from iPhone #2.  How do I get those contacts back and prevent this from happening again?

    Hey joshuafromisr,
    If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:
    Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925

  • How do you remove unified contacts from iphone4s

    how can you remove unified contacts from iphone4s

    Reading and researching for 6 days.  Apple keeps calling back again and again.  I admire their punctuality but they keep rushing me through the same solutions over and over again.  I am really disappointed that they have an instruction manual they do not diverge fron.  Today was the 4th day they called.  I had deleted my phone twice following their suggestion and reset all settings which brought my iphone back to an awkward, unfamiliar state.  Nothing worked.
    I used all apps that have been suggested here ('Spring Clean' and 'Cleanup').  Did not work. They kept returning a message that said I have NO contacts on my phone.  My correct set of contacts contains 499 backed up on iCloud and of those 388 unfortunately duplicate against themselves thus creating a set of 'Unified accounts'.
    After all this research, inablity to manually delete one by one, back up from itunes during sync, deleting and restoring phone, the app that worked for me is called 'MultiDelete'.  I found all the apps, did a test drive on a couple and worked.  Applied to all.  All contacts were erased.  Turned iCloud contacts back on... I still am in awe. Very please and surprised that a problem I have had for more than a year is resolved!
    No more duplicate contacts when calling from Viber, Skype and any other contact-related app! Yes!

    Hmmmm...maybe try deleting them again (I know it's a pain) and then doing a manual icloud backup (unless you already did this). Icloud may be putting them back on there. I never allowed FB to put the contacts on my phone lol. Also try going into Privacy and Contacts...make sure FB isn't on in there. Might be a few other spots to check under settings to make sure too. And...you might want to try deleting the FB app, do a icloud backup, and then reinstall FB
