How to remove gnome without dependency errors?

I'm a little frustrated with pacman right now.
I downloaded gnome, thinking I wanted it. I don't. So I went to remove the two things I installed with pacman: gnome and gnome-extra. But I can't, because the other packages that came with them depend on others within gnome. I don't care, though - I want ALL of gnome removed. Short of manually removing each dependency tree, which takes FOREVER, how can I easily get rid of this plague on my system? pacman -Rs gnome doesn't work, and I don't know what else to do.

when a file is removed from the system the database is checked

-s, --recursive
Remove each target specified including all dependencies, pro-
vided that (A) they are not required by other packages; and (B)
they were not explicitly installed by the user. This option is
analogous to a backwards --sync operation.

Ah iTunes, how you make me lose my hair.....
I got it working, but not before it imported all of the wrong stuff. I set the Media Folder to precisely what I wanted it to import (all of my daughter's Top 40 songs), and then found the Music option "Add MP3 and AAC Files from your folder". That seemed to be the correct option, so I clicked it. Unfortunately, it didn't just stick to my folder, but went off on its merry way adding any song from any folder. It dumped hundreds of ACDC and Aerosmith songs into iTunes (neither band is particularly stingy with F-bombs on live albums) into my daughter's list of teeny bopper titles. When I tried to remove them from the iTunes library, it put up a scary warning that if I removed those songs it would delete them from every iDevice within a 5KM radius.
There doesn't seem to be any way within iTunes of removing all songs from a particular folder or hard drive directory, which would have been nice. In fact, I can't figure out how to show the filename anywhere within iTunes (isn't that a bit odd?). So I manually removed the 2K songs it had imported, which took a good hour. Then I found the File - Add Folder to Library option, and that one allowed me to select the folder I wanted to import. I hate to say it, Apple makes great hardware products, but iTunes seems to come from an entirely different planet.

I see a lot of topics on how to remove duplicate songs but there is one thing I would like to know if its possible...
I would like to remove my duplicates but I still want to see the songs as part of the albums. Example: lets say the same song is present in 3 different albums. I would like to remove 2 of them but have them still showing up as part of the 3 albums. This way the albums remain "complete".
Is there any way to tool available that can do that? Maybe keeping something like a symbolic link in place of the songs that were deleted?
Any help would be appreciated.

Again, I can't open disputes because I can't have an open dispute and close on a loan. LVNV put something on my credit report for a dental bill I paid in cash. It was years ago. I don't know how to go about proving I paid it. Last but not least I have a charge-off from Bank of America that's reaching the 7 year mark in 2 months. Is B o A good about removing after it hits that mark? Should I even try a goodwill ask of them to remove it early or at least update it to a 0 balance? (They didn't sell it so it still shows a balance) Or anything? I'd be afraid of offering any type of payment for fear they'd open the loan and re-age it since it's going to fall off in a month. It wont be BofA that removes it at 7 years, it will be the credit rteporting agencies. You can ask for an early exclusion (I had good success with TU and EX and didn't have anything on EQ to try on.) Call and ask for EARLY EXCLUSION. TU may take a few tries before you get someone that knows what you are talking about. EX was a piece of cake. You will need a report number to get thru on EX phone system (the last copy of your free report from annual credit report will have a 10 digit number at the top). Several friends of mine are also running Vista & V. Enterprise. Their PCs are slow by comparison with even far older h/w running XP Pro. Nothing I have been able to do makes their machines faster than this, even though I did manage to get them running faster than a dog with three broken legs, which was how they were running when I first encountered them.
So I really cannot be much help with Vista. I am just not familiar enough with it.
There are other threads on the front page of this topic that recommend various registry cleaners. However, you should be very careful with anything that is not specifically recommended. Some of these products are just viral. One of them stopped one of the above-mentioned Vista PCs from accessing anything but their site, where you could download the "fix" from them - for a fee, of course. I'm having an issue. I need to remove the text saying "A Innland", but the background isn't quite the same at all points - the further right you go, the lighter it becomes. How would I go on about removing this?
The text is ingrained in the picture, it's originally not a photoshop file with a text layer on top.

Here's another way.
Press M for Rectangular Marquee Tool and select a strip of gradient above "INNLAND".
Press Cmd+T for Free Transform and stretch downwards to cover the type.
Do the same procedure to cover the "A".

How to remove a single Archive file

I have an archive file from April 21st, 2009 in my flash recovery area. This archive file is all by itself and i do not know how to remove it without just deleting the file. I have completed, successfully, nightly backups which removes older backups and archive files. For some reason this one file is not being deleted when the others are. I have completed a validate, crosscheck and archivelog all. It is not listed in the summary either.
I just want to know if there is a rman command to remove lost archive log files or do i just delete the file the old fashion way.

ChicagoIf you did a crosscheck archivelog all in rman, and this file is nowhere to be seen in rman, then it's safe to remove it from OS.
If you did the opposite, that you delete from OS first and rman still has the file in list then you need to delete it from rman , a crosscheck followed by delete expired.

Question: How to remove accidental Icons

I was selecting Email the other day and accidently dragged it from my launcher bar into the app area. Now I can't get rid of it at all from any of the app screens. I certainly don't need 2 links for Email. Anyone know how to remove it without deleting the Email app alltogether?

Ipod 5 wasn't updating new playlists. Removed all music from iPod and ended up with 34 GB of OTHER. How do I remove this without doing a full restore?

iPod 5 was not adding new playlists when synching (plenty of space remained in memory for it). This happened around the time of the new update. I removed all music from the iPod and when I went to resync the selected playlists, my OTHER portion of memory jumped up to 34GB and now there is not enough space on the iPod to put all my music back on.
I've checked the usage of all the apps and photos, etc, it is pretty clear this is because of the music portion only.
Is there anyway of removing this information? Without doing a restore? It is not jailbroken either.
