How to reset a FP-QUAD-510 with CVI ?

I use a FP-QUAD-510 with FP-1600 ethernet module.
In my CVI application, I want to programmatically reset the position counter.
Is there any sample source code to do such operation ?

Chris,
I do not have any sample code that I can send you, but I can tell you how to do it. First, in FieldPoint Explorer, right click on the FP-QUAD-510 @x and choose Edit This Device. Then click on Channel Configuration. In the Channel Commands box, press the button that says Create Item. This will create a channel named "Control @Ch0". You can then write to the "Control @Ch0" item as if it was a normal output. Anytime in your code that you write a value of 1 to the "Control @Ch0" item, it will reset Axis 0 (channels 0 and 4). To change which channel you are resetting, simply change the checkboxes before pressing the Create Item button.

The documentation that comes with the FP-QUAD-510 does not clearly mention that you absolutely MUST supply external DC power in order for the input channels to function. Figures 3 and 4 of the Operating Instructions are missing a wire showing connection of the external power supply to the Input Circuitry block. Other parts of the document mention that operating power is supplied by the network module through the terminal base. This is misleading, as you must also connect external power, not only if you are powering the encoder through the +5V output.

I will be creating a CAR (corrective action report) for this documentation to express your concerns. These comments will then be obviously taken into account with the next manual revision.

How to Re-Register a Deleted 510 with CDM

I replaced a 510 we thought was bad with another one, and the 4650 CDM made me delete the old node before I could make the new one active. Now we have placed the old one at a different site, and CDM does not see it. Yet the 510 says it is registered with CDM but status is "pending". It appears to be working (cacheing)ok, we just can't see it from the CDM. How can I get it to register?

I agreed I have a policy now of if something strange is happening, such as the other day I had a CE that would not upgrade its code, you know the code and command are correct because you've just done 2 but this one won't work. factory reset it and start from scratch!

I have an old apple ID that is associated with an email I can no longer access, but over half of my apps are associated with this Apple ID. Any idea on how to reset the apps to go with my newer Apple ID without completely wiping my iPhone?

I have an iPhone 4s. The email I need to use is completely locked because Windows believed someone else was trying to use my account (another reason Windows and I don't seem to get along). Anyway, I think my little sister may have accidentally clicked "Forgot my Password" while trying to download an app on my iPad that was under the same ID. So, an email was sent to my old hotmail account that is lockedried unlocking it, but the alternate email that was listed was an old one of my moms and she can't remember what her username was. I tried answering security questions on my Apple ID to maybe get my password to reset that way, but - since I made this account when I was about 12 or 13 - I can't even begin to remember what the answers to the security questions are. (And before anyone gets on a pedestal about how I was too young to be doing something like this, I did have parent supervision and wanted something like this of my own, so lets stick to the ACTUAL problem). So, main problem here. I now have about 30 app updates that are under an account I basically have no access to. I've deleted the apps from my home screen and tried downloading them with my new Apple ID, but it shows as if it's stored in the cloud and will only let me download it from the old Apple ID. Is there any possible way to dissociate my apps from my old ID and associate them with my newer one WITHOUT completely resetting my phone?

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

Step 3: Run the program and burn the ISO image to the USB Flash Drive.
*NOTE:* This action will make your USB drive be formatted and all your data in it will be lost. You'd better provide one with nothing in it.
Step 4: Use the USB to reset windows 7 password. Before this step, you must set your computer boot from USB. Then start your computer, and you will enjoy the process of resetting the password, it is easy and quick. How to reset settings then restore ipad with a backup

Apple told me to backup my ipad using iTunes then reset settings (I think not erase as well). They said then use this to restore it and it will remove a glitch which has made the ipad block off 2/3 of its memory for video use, the store said it may have done this intuitively. I fear about what I can lose and when I plugged my ipad into my computer to backup it was far from clear what to do. Can explain further what to do, I got the feeling it it a common problem given i did not need an appointment to have it explained to me.

Let me add more info...
When device is connected to computer's itunes, click the device name in left panel of itunes and then look at the Summary tab for that device (middle panel). Do a manual backup. Then choose to manually restore.

The simplest and therefore best answer is to erase the Time Capsule disk.
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utillity
Click on the Time Capsule icon
Click Edit in the box that appears
Click the Disks tab in the next window
Click Erase Disk
The "Quick Erase" option will only take a minute or two, then you can start the new backup of the new Mac.

Yes your assumption is correct. Also, I have uninstalled (and removed user data) and re-installed DM. Also rebooted PC but still no luck. Eveytime I connect my new device to DM it pops up a msg: "Your messaging account is currently configured to use <old device>. Would you like to switch to <new device> instead?". I then proceed to click on "Yes", it still shows Active Device as the old one and Device Connected as new one.
