How to retreive resultset of WCM_PLACEHOLDER service using ridc api

Hi,
I am trying to call WCM_PLACEHOLDER service using ridc api. I was able to set dataFileDocName and templateID, but was unable to retreive the result set, since I am not sure with which name should I have to search in the result set. AS like GETSEARCHRESULTS i tried with "SearchResults" but not success. Sample code below I tried.
DataBinder dataBinder = serviceResponse.getDataBinder();
dataBinder.getResultSet("SearchResults"); ----> This is the line that is not working as looks like I need to replace "SearchResults" with something else.
I tried googling this for, but couldn't find useful information any where.
Appreciate your help here.

This is not a search service but it is used to evaluates a placeholder, allowing the contents of the placeholder to be retrieved directly from anywhere the Oracle Content Server can be seen from.
Code snippet to retrieve the details using RIDC is as follows :

- the part of the EJB spec that deals with databases is called the Java Persistence API, but likely you are just looking for the JDBC API.

You could use datasources. You should do this in your BC4J Configuration. Then when deploying your applicaiton use the command -installDataSource (from admin.jar) to create the right datasource.
You could probably use the name of your connection + "DS" so you can also use it locally in JDeveloper as JDev seesm to create this automaticly for your Connections.

How to call an ebs web service using the soa gateway

I installed Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 Media Pack v4 (32bit) and now I wanna use the soa gateway to develop and integration and consume web services. I found the soa gateway/irep and I can browse through the existing services. But how can I call one e. g. using .NET?
For .NET, I need an valid address (URL) to the services. How can I get such an URL.
Example:
I opened the integration repository, browsed to:
Order Management Suite - Order Management - Sales Order - INBOUND: Change Purchase Order XML Transaction.
I cannot find an address at this page which can be used in MS Dev Studio to call the service.
If I click on "Generate WSDL" or try to open the WSDL under the "Web Service - Web Service Provider" section, I get an error message:

SOA Provider Access resulted in exception 'oracle.apps.fnd.soa.util.SOAException: SystemError: Error while sending message to server. You have to make sure every step in MOS Document ID 726414.1 that is applicable to your E-Business Suite 12.1.x release is performed. Enabling ASADMIN is just one of the steps. In spite of following all the steps in this Document you continue to get the error when clicking "Generate WSDL", please log a Service Request with Oracle Support.I will check all steps again. I know it can call a WSDL in LCD, but I have not any WSDL web service , and I have a REST web service ,how can I call this REST web service in LCD? I checked some documents and found nothing...if it's possible that it can call a REST web service using JAVAScript code, I mean I can program some code to call this web service ?

Hi Jesse,
You can do GET, PUT and POST using FormCalc, so you should be able to access a REST web service.

How to access PL/SQL Web Services using java

New to Webservices. Created PL/SQL Web Service using JDeveloper. Vendor is not sure how to access it using java. Can anyone please help to point in the right direction or provide some sample ?

So if I'm correct you have already exposed a PL/SQL procedure or function as web service?
In that case you can generate a proxy (client) for the generated web service using JDeveloper. It will generate Java code which invokes the web service.
See the wizard in JDeveloper, it should be in the same category as the create PL/SQL web service wizard.

How to create JAX-WS web services using providers?

I am looking at WebLogic web services, because we are investigating the possibility of migrating our web services from Apache CXF to WegLogic web services. Our web services are implemented using JAX-WS providers. However, I browsed through the Oracle Fusion Middleware document library, but I couldn't find any documents for implementing JAX-WS web services using providers.
Is there any document, tutorial, or examples of that?

Ok just as I expected. So I guess I am left with the following two options
1) either I switched to using JAXB in my apps instaed of xmlbeans....
2) or if I still wanna use the old JAX-RPC web services to deploy on the Weblogic 10gR3 server i will have to create my own ant task jwsc directly......as shown below in your docs

How to add a polygon to mapviewer using Javascript API

Hi,
I am using JavaScript API for the MapViewer.
Using redlining tool, my application allows user to draw polygon onto the map.
I would like to have union, difference and intersect tools. I know the back end logic can be done using using JTS or SDO_Union, SDO_difference, and SDO_intersection. but how do i display the result polygon on the map? Note that I am not going to store the polygon in the database.

If I understand well you are using Oracle Maps. User do some redlining, then you somehow makes FOI polygons. Then you get the coordinates of the polygons and send them to the back-end where you can use spatial functions and get the coordinates of the new polygon.
You can store those coordinates in i.e. hidden input field on page (if you use JSF it is very simple) and then use JavaScript to parse them and Oracle Maps API to create new FOI polygon and add it to mapviewer object. One disadvantage of this concept is that reloading of page (submit) is necessary.

How to change a folder layout set using KM api?

Hello,
I'm developing a program using KM api that creates different folders with properties, permissions, ... I want to use a different layout set depending on the folder that i am browsing, but these folders are created dinamically, so I cant set a different layouts set for each one manually (Details > Display > ...).
Does anybody know how I could do it using KM api? I mean, that every time I create a folder using KM api I should assaing dinamically the default layout set for this folder. I searched in the api and examples and I didn't find anything.

You can mainly read records from MDM (in a DDIC structure) using ABAP API's using the following function modules/methods:
1. RETRIEVE: This is used to generically retrieve records from tables. Attributes and Values can also be retrieved.
2. RETRIEVE SIMPLE: Retrieve records from MDM in a simple way.( simple data types).
3. RETRIEVE CHECKOUT: Retrieves all checked out ID's.
4. RETRIEVE ATTRIBUTES: Retrieves attribute(s) from a Taxanomy table.
You will find all these methods in the following interface
Interface : IF_MDM_CORE_SERVICES
