How to run a loop for 1hour

Hello All,
I am very new to labview and its components. I want to program a loop which would run for one hour.
Actually, I would like to make it more user friendly, by asking the operator to enter how long he would like to run the code.
Can anyone please suggest me how to do this?

If iDVD was not preinstalled on your Mac you'll have to obtain it by purchasing a copy of the iLife 09 disk from a 3rd party retailier like Amazon.com: ilife 09: Software or eBay.com. Why, because iDVD (and iWeb) was discontinued by Apple over a year ago.
Why iLife 09 instead of 11?
If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides themes from iDVD 5-7. The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes when starting from the iLIfe 11 disk nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.
Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:
This shows the iDVD contents in the iLife 09 disc via Pacifist:
You then can upgrade from iDVD 7.0.3 to iDVD 7.1.2 via the updaters at the Apple Downloads webpage.
Export the slideshow out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar. Select Size = Medium or Large.
Open iDVD, select a theme and drag the exported QT movie file into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
And yes, iDVD 7.1.2 will work with Mavericks.

How to run a VI for very short time, e.g. 100ms?

Hi,
I need to run a VI for very short amounts of time, say 100ms, 200ms, 500ms or 1s. I want to get this time from the user, maybe as a control variable. How may I do this? I tried using the "elapsed time" function but seems like it was not meant for such small time periods. Any ideas?

What are you trying to do in the "short time"? When you say "run a VI" do you mean "start, run and stop running", or do you mean for the vi to do something for the specified time, i.e. flash a front panel LED for a precise period after the operator clicks a button? In the later case 100mS is actually fairly long, and can be accomplished with various timing functions, with varying degrees of accuracy. The most accurate, in a Windows environment, would probably be the timed loop. If you need really accurate, particularly if you are interfacing with hardware (a pushbutton, an actual lamp, etc.) a real-time system would be the best bet.

I have a procedure that needs a collection to pass in. The pass_in collection has multiple records with multiple fields, so I guess I need a loop for each record.
How to assign each record of multiple fields to each corresponding local variables?

Yes.. the original problem would be your test() method put the sleep in an entirely separate thread of execution. So the thread is created then the method just keeps waiting. The while loop should directly call Thread.sleep... which you have apparently figured out!

How to execute a loop for a user specified amount of time

This seems like it should be a no brainer. But I can't figure it out. What's the best way to execute a loop for a user specified number of seconds?

You can use the Elapsed Time Express VI (available in LabVIEW 7.0 and later). I have attached a sample VI saved in LabVIEW 7.1 format that shows how to use this Express VI.

EXPLAIN PLAN creates an execution plan for SQL statements. PL/SQL is not SQL.
PL/SQL procedures can contain SQL, yes. These SQLs can be copied and pasted from PL/SQL into something like TOAD and execution plan determined.
However, if the aim is to see the "execution/performance plan" for PL/SQL code, then you need to profile the PL/SQL code using the DBMS_PROFILER package. This will tell you the execution path and elapsed time to execute a line of PL/SQL.

In the file attatched I included the things I thought you could do. Since all the Rings are the same you can put them in an array. The operation you are doing is allways the same so I put it in an SubVi. Now you can easily use a loop to calculate the 8 differences you are looking for.

Herewith my screenshot attached. There are thre inputs thres, tempX, xValue, it is in side the while loop.'xValue' will be acquired every iteration, It will be saved through shift register and acquired to 'tempX' for the next iteration, 'thres' is a constant value. I'm doing some logic, and calculating the dvalue and convert it to a string and concatenate it with end of line character, then after writing it into a file.
In the logic, inside of the functional logic I'm assigning some values dValue, if the logic is true or else dvalue will be 0
What I require is I don't want to write the dValue in to a file, if it is equal to zero. Could you please help me, how to tackle this problem?

How to Run a Report for Blanket PO that have been OVER Invoiced (over limit

Hi All,
How do I run a report in ME2N, where I would want to see all the Blanket POs (Framework Orders) that has a "Actual Value" (the amt invoiced so far) which is Greater than the Overall Limit (specified in the "Limits" tab)?
Are there any fields in the Dynamic Selection in ME2N? I coudn't Find any......How can I compare two fields in the Blanket PO, for example "Overal Limit' > "Actual Value"?? How to put this selection criteria in ME2N

You will not get this information via ME2N but you can get via ME2S
once you execute the ME2S you will see the PO lines and if oyu double click on it than you will get the all information you are looking but the exact query directly not possible with ME2S
The best way is write the query using table ESUH and EKPO
joint EKPO to ESUH and do the query based on your requirements.
you can get the package number from EKPO and based on the package number you can retrive the data form ESUH table
