How to run and JSF page from Bea Weblogic 8.1

Hi, I am new to JSF . Can anybody help me that how can i access a JSF page from Bea Weblogic 8.1. How can deploy. What libraries and files are needed and where to put these required .jar or library files. I just wrote a single page and now i am not able to run it . Any help would be highly appreciated.I am looking forward for your kind replies.Thank you.

You need to package your application into the standard .war format. Make sure jsf-api.jar and jsf-impl.jar are placed in WEB-INF/lib, your faces-config.xml is in WEB-INF, and your tld files are defined appropriately. Once you have your .war file, deploy it to your servers applications directory or use the console for deployment.
You should not have any problems if everything is packaged correctly. I am successfully using WebLogic Server 8.1 with my JSF-based web app.

1. Hope you have placed the custom jsp page (which you have downloaded from server) under "jdevhome\jdev\myhtml\OA_HTML" directory ?
2. Try to run the custom jsp page from Jdeveloper directly and check whether its working properly or not ?
(i.e. add jsp page to any project in Jdeveloper then right click on jsp page and select Run xxx.jsp)
3. If page errors out then custom jsp page seems require few parameters to run it successfully. Pass all requied parameters and test.
4. There is no problem in the way you are calling jsp page from OAF page.

Trying to run a JSF page whose output i am getting from a Web Service

I am trying to run a JSF page containing a simple button and a outputText. On clicking the button ,the outputText field is populated with a value from a web service.
This page sometimes it runs fine else, on pressing the button nothing happens. In the message log it gives the following error:

I am using port 8888. Actually in one of the demos , it is mentioned to use 8988. But using that it was giving the above error previously. But using 8888 it works sometimes , but sometimes it is not working.

I have two jsp pages (inputName.jsp and greeting.jsp) as I mentioned earlier in the path /WebContent/jsp
and one index.jsp in the path jsfHello/
The index.jsp just forwards the control to the page inputName.jsp
the code snippet: <jsp:forward page="/jsp/inputName.jsf" />
When I try to access the application as below I can see the corresponding pages and it corresponding navigation:
http://localhost:8080/jsfHello/jsp/inputName.jsf ( When I input name and continue it navigated to the greeting page)
http://localhost:8080/jsfHello/jsp/greeting.jsf
When I try to access the application as below it doesn't work:

Do I understand correctly that you'd like to extract two pages from a PDF, and then send them via email?
To extract pages from a PDF, you need to use Acrobat. If you don't have Acrobat, you can try it for free for 30 days. Please see http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.
I'm not sure what you mean by "enlarge" it. When your recipient views the PDF, they can enlarge the view (zoom in on the PDF) by choosing options from the View menu in Acrobat or Reader.

Hi DG.
The easiest way to copy an HP Photo Creations project to another computer is to click the Share button. That will upload the project to the Web and give you a link you can paste into an email. Clicking the link on the other computer allows you to download the project and personalize it. This quick video shows the process. (The screen looks slightly different now, but the concept is the same.)
Another way to share a project is copy the project folder to a thumb drive. Look in Documents/HP Photo Creations/My Things to find your saved projects.

How do I include a page from web search into an Email?

I have a HP TouchSmart 610-1147c Desktop computer. running Windows 7 64 bit. I should have known the answer to this question years ago, but I don't....terrible huh? Anyway, how do I include a page from a web search that I did into an Email? Believe it or not, I've never had to do this before, so don't have the faintest idea how to do this. I have a feeling that it would be sent as an attachment, but how don't know how to do that!!
I would appreciate any help that anyone would take the time to give me. I thank you beforehand for having patience with me and my silly question.

Well, the way I would do it is to copy and paste the web address in the email, so the recipient can click on the link and get right to the Web page.
For example, I just googled "horses," and here is the result of that search:
http://www.google.com/#hl=en&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=horses&oq=horses&aq=f&aqi=g4&aql=&gs_l=h...
I highlighted the Web address, copied it, and then pasted it in the response. Same thing can be done into an emial.
Does that make sense? Or were you looking for something else?

In portlet project, to navigate between pages, you should not use the URL property to link to a page. Instead, portlets use navigation via action handling. You use the Page Navigation editor to set up links to pages; that is, the navigation editor sets the action property.
Here is an example to hyperlink ans button to open a new page:
# From within the IDE, create a new portlet project. This action creates the project and one page, PortletPage1.jsp.
# Create a second portlet page, called PortletPage2.jsp, for the project.
# Drop a Hyperlink component onto the first portlet page, PortletPage1. (You can drop the Hyperlink on the page in the Design window or on the PortletPage1 node in the Outline window.) Change the Hyperlink's text property to Next Page.
# Drop a Button component (found in the Basic section of the Palette) onto the second portlet page, PortletPage2.

i m bit comfortable with SERVLET and please tell me that how to run a JSP page.i m using TOMCAT.
someplace it is written that " write the program ,save under the root of tomcat i.e in my system it is tomcat 4.1 and to store in tomcat4.1\helloworld.jsp ,,, and then after start the server write in the url --:
http://localhost:8080/hello.jsp.
but it is giving error while running.please tell me the procedure.

Why oh WHY do you want to fiddle with the server.xml file?
You don't need to.
Under tomcat is a directory called "Webapps"
This is where you put your web applications.
You will see there is an existing one there called ROOT - which funnily enough is the root one used for Tomcat.
If you put your hello.jsp in the ROOT directory, http://localhost:8080/hello.jsp will work.
However it is not recommended to use the ROOT directory. Make your own one.
Create a new directory in the "Webapps" directory eg "test"
Put your jsps in here.
under test create a directory called "WEB-INF"
Copy the web.xml file from [TOMCAT_HOME]/webapps/ROOT/web-inf into the new web-inf directory.
Now go to http://localhost:8080/test/hello.jsp
