How to run form 10g fmx file..

This is my first post in forums
I have a problem
In the run time xyz.fmb file create a xyz.fmx file
after that i cannot run this xyz.fmx file without using Developer
Can anybody give me this solution how can i solve it

please modify formsweb.cfg and create u r own config.something like this.

Good Afternoon,
Please advise if there is a way to run a 10g report from command line.
We use 6i right now and our job scheduler runs reports using "D:\ORADEV6I\BIN\RWRUN60.EXE ..." executable in batch mode on a separate server. We plan to migrate to 10g Database, Forms, Reports. Is there a way to keep this functionality and create a "command" to request the report server to run a report?

Ummm....Oracle Forms is a foreground runtime kind of thing. What you want is a database procedure (or an OS utility - it depends on what sort of processing you want to do in the background).

If you want to test your forms locally there is an OC4J component with the Developer Suite which can be started so you can run your Forms on your local station. This is no client/server but you run your webforms local.

Is it the problem with Vista only or in other versions of windows tooo. If the same problem occours in other IE versions then check if you have installed jinitiator.Most probably it is in case the jinitiator not installed...

I have an application developed in oracle 10g forms , wheni fun it opens in browser , how can i restrict my fmx to run in browser , as i dont want to run it in browser like forms 6i .

From the menu design time:
1- select >Edit>Preferences>select the Runtime tab
and close to the field of web browser location - >
Select the Browse button to locate the IE location on ur hard-disk.
2- Run ur main form >Select Favorites >Select add to Favorites.
Then ,u have a link 2 ur application , u can drag and drop it in ur desk top.
or use the existing link.
or if u wanna run a specific form locally then, u have to run the Start OC4J Instance to be intiallized ,and when finished working on that form run the End OC4J Instance to be terminated.

How to make changes to .fmx file using the form builder

I have a .fmx form in the AR_TOP directory of the Oracle E-business suite.Now I need to make some changes to the form and compile it and place it back .But the .fmx file didnot open using the form builder 6i .So is there any way that i can convert the .fmx to .fmb so that I can open the form using the Form builder 6i??
I have the toad s/w installed but I dont know how to open the form using the Toad.

I have a .fmx formYou cannot open a fmx-file with any developer tool. To make changes to the source-code you need the fmb-file and open it witj Forms-builder
AR_TOP -directory of the Oracle E-business suiteBe careful when changing source-code in the ebusiness-suite. If its a module from oracle i don't if its supported if you do changes in it.
I have the toad s/w installed but I dont know how to open the form using the Toad.Toad is definitely the wrong tool for forms-modules.

So the server (we will call it server1) you have "Redwood Cronacle 6.0.2" installed on has a C: drive and a D: drive. On the D: drive is installed Developer 6i (D:\ORADEV6I). You can install Developer Suite 10g also on the D: drive (D:\ORADEV10G for example). After that, setup Oracle iAS on server2. The good news is you have to change very little code. You can:
