How to run htmldb_Get..... as anonymous user?

I have an application that with pictures as thumbnails. When user click on the thumbnail picture shows up in popup window.
Application allows anonymous access but the problem is when user is not logged in, picture doesn't shows up.
I use this call to assign picture ID to the application item and it doesn't work for anonymous user.

hi. Here we are asking a stupid Q on very first post. How can we have an anonymous 'User i.d." for discussion group only? Seem to be stuck with our regular old original Apple i.d. The Alias of the account you are using, cannot be changed, but you can create a new Discussions Account, with an Alias that you prefer.
You cannot delete your present account. Just stop using it, after you have created a new one.
You can use all of the same info in the new account, Email address, User name, etc, just be sure to insert a new Alias of your choosing.
But your Level(0), Points(0), Total Posts(2), Total Posts Online(2) and Registered Date(12/19/06), will not be transferred.
In the new account, your Post Counts, Points, & Level Status will all start at 0. Your Registered Date will be the date you create the new account.
Your old account, with your previous counts & level, will still be viewable, under the old Alias.
(You really don't have anything accumulated, to be concerned about though.)
After you quit using the old account, those 2 posts, will be archived. What that means is, that if there are no additional responses in the Threads they reside in, the Topics will get continually pushed down on the Topics list. After a certain amount of time, maybe 2 to 6 months, the Threads will be locked, so no responses can be entered. But the Threads will not disappear.
Threads in heavily trafficked Forums, may be archived more rapidly than those in areas, with less activity.
The Topics that you started using the old account, will show your Old Alias, in the Author field of a main forum page, but eventually, readers will have to keep going to the succeeding pages to view them.
If someone were to do a Discussions Search, using these parameters:
Restrict by Category or Forum: All Categories
Restrict by Date Range: All
Restrict by Username: Your Old Alias
all of your posts, created since about 11/13/05, would be found.
To create a new account,
Log out of Discussions. You also may have to delete the Apple Cookies in your browser preferences, but I'm not sure this is necessary. Then follow either of these instructions.

You can't. It requires root to set network card attributes, which can only be set with administrative priviledges. But it should be no problem to start it with sudo.

Hi,
you can also use RFC local destination used by workflow. It has name like LOCAL_WORKFLOW_XXX where XXX stands for client. So just call your FM with this destination.

How to run report from multiple user same time

We are using oracle database 11g R2
Oracle Forms & reports : 11.1.2
O.S : Windows & Professional
We have install oracle database, Oracle forms & reports in server. Near about 25 users are accessing that database, forms & reports from server through browser.
I have one problem, when users runs a report there report goes in queue and runs one by one in FIFO manner.
If one user has a report that take long time other users has to wait for that time.
Can it is possible to run reports in multitasking manner, i.e multiple report can be run simultaneously.

Problems display KM documents as an anonymous user

At this time I am speaking to you with the following problem. I'm building an intranet with SAP Enterprise Portals and I'm setting up a role that will be assigned to the anonymous user "Guest." I built a KM Navigation iView and placed the path where they were staying the documents required are available. When I try to open some of them, displays a popup window that says: "Server sapportalsqa in Authentication requires a user name and password."
I checked the permisology of documents hosted on this route and is well. I wonder how I can do for anonymous users to view these documents. Is there any special configuration to do?

Anonymous Users in Activity Reports

Hi All,
When i checked the activity reports in User administration, I see that there are some Anonymous users logged in.
Can somebody explain me who they are and how do we identify these anonymous users ?

I don't know exactly how the PAR are generated, but maybe the report is only looking into the authentication scheme necessary to access the iView. By default, some default-iViews from SAP (DTN, Portal Favorites, etc) is set to anonymous.
I guess that even if you have anonymous access disabled (Guest user disabled), the used authentication scheme (anonymous) will be responsible that you see "Anonymous" Users in the reports.
You can try to set the scheme to "default" or higher and verify if the anonymous users are eliminated from your reports (but his will take some time).

How to run as privileged user in WebLogic

I am running WebLogic 10.3. Configured a datasource as well as role-based access policies. In my web app and EJB deployment descriptors, I specified <run-as> roles so there is no problem for servlets and EJB's to access the datasource.
However, I also have some background Quartz jobs that need to access the datasource. When the jobs run, WebLogic complains:
"User "<anonymous>" does not have permission to perform operation "reserve" on resource "myDataSource"".
Doing a bit Googling, I found this thread:

The poster suggested this is a WebLogic bug in version 9.2. The workaround is to add the "weblogic" user to the security policy. I did that, but it does not seem to solve the problem, at least not in a consistent basis.
Does anyone have any idea how to permanently solve this problem? Do I need to use JAAS to create a security Subject and attach that to my Quartz job and use the runAs() call?

As I understand for Quartz, I think you should create a security subject for it in your code. I guess the background tasks in Quartz work in separate threads. It is not recommended in EJB application. you can use EJB timer service instead.

How to view a BI query with anonymous user in the portal

Does anybody knows how to view a BI query in the portal with anonymous user?
Cause when i try to view a query the portal always ask for authentification. And i don't want to sign with a user cause my portal is for everybody and if the user logged in it shows the roles that previously were assigned.

do you have sso configured between portal and BW server, if yes the authentication pop up should not come.
if you dont want to do sso between portal and bw server and still want to logon to BW query with anonymous user,
in you bw server go to transaction sicf and navigate to DEFAULT_HOST->SAP->BW->BEX and double click on bex node in the resulting window, log on details section provide a default userid/password

User profile is created when a request is processed by the ProfileRequestServlet in the ATG servlet pipeline and is made available as session scoped Profile object for each user. Profile object has a dataSource property which points to the underlying RepositoryItem. For anonymous user, the underlying RepositoryItem created through ProfileRequestServlet remains transient by default. Therefore you won't find the item in the repository or database with that transient repository item's id. You can change this default behavior if you want by changing the persistentAnonymousProfiles property of the ProfileRequestServlet component to true which will create a new profile in the database for each anonymous visitor.

I have an OIM 11G R2 environment, where i did a bulk load of abount 200,000+ users, and all the users' accounts were created using target recon.
How do I prevent the evaluate user policies scheduler from running for these users?

I do have roles and access policies.
But i do not want them to applied to them at this stage as they already got everything through target recon.
Only for new users or these users on update i want the evaluate user policies to run.
Otherwise running evaluate user policies for these many users could be a very time and resource consuming task.
