How to run JRun4 as standalone container?

How would one go about running JRun4 as a stand-alone servlet
container? I want to be able to configure it dynamically and
start/stop it as part of a build. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Take a look at something called java service wrapper ,
http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org/doc/english/introduct
on.htmlNot seen that one before. Ta.
Alexandria software used to support a simpler app called JavaService... google for that maybe if the above is too much.

I encountered some difficulty on how to run the examples provided by CM SDK Developer's Guide, such as SimpleConnection.I deployed my develop enviroment in two computers, installed only oracle JDeveloper in one computer, while installed Oracle10g,Oracle AS and Oracle CM SDK on the other computer. But when I tried to run the example on the computer which was only installed Oracle JDeveloper,I always failed.I have no idea of how to run the example in a standalone mode.I hope someone who familiar with Oracle CM SDK can help me solve the problem or give me some advice. Now I list the errors which appeared when I ran the example,SimpleConnection.

The CMSDK uses the oci8 interface to connect to the database. The classes12.jar file has to correspond to the appropriate ocijdbc9.dll file; and the ocijdbc9.dll file is dependent on about 26 other DLLs beginning with oci*.dll and ora*.dll.
I've found that the 10.1.0 and 9.2.0 database client releases contain the wrong oci*.dll family (at least for JDeveloper) and I use the 9.0.4 AS Client tree in my path when I work with CMSDK.
My quick test is to see if I can connect to my database using JDeveloper Connect DBMS with the oci8 connection method. This seems to put out some reasonable error messages explaining why it failed, e.g. it tells you that it couldn't find the right DLL dependency.

I suggest that you reinstall the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 redistributable https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555
If you are on a 64-bit system you should also install the x64 version http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13523

  • How to run EJB session beans outside of a container

    Hello,
I m trying to run in a testcase some EJB such as Session stateless, Session stateful of entities. For this last one, everythin works fine. Unfortunately, I cant figure out how to run and retrieve by JNDI my session beans.
I itried to run my beans in the JBOSS embedded EJB runtime, and it works fine.
It would be nice I anyone could give me some explanations or a link about this subject :)
    Thanks

Three things I would want to know before considering answering your question.
    1. What version number to 3 decimal places?
    2. Why?
    3. Why? And this time make it a full and complete explanation. <g>
Sorry but this is not a normal thing to ask and I am rather concerned about the motivation.

    Yes, called BootCamp. Enjoy:  http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/
Or you can run the Windows OS virtualized using VMWare Fusion ($49), Parallels Desktop ($99) or Oracle VirtualBox (free). This lets you run both OS at the same time: MacOS is the host and Windows the guest.

  • How to run the client program in weblogic 8.1 server

    Hi
I am new to EJB 2.0. I am deployed sucessfully a session ejb program.
While running an ejb client program it throws an exception. In my session ejb program i created two jar file. one is sessionejb.jar and another one is sessionejbclient.jar. In sessionejb.jar contains home ,remote ,session bean class and deployment descriptor. In sessionejbclient.jar contains home, remote and client program. Both jar files are included in class path of environment variable( i am using Standalone server).
Plese guide me how to run an session ejb client correctly.
    Regards
    Jaiganesh

    Both jar files are
included in class path of environment variable( i am
using Standalone server).did u include both these jars in the "weblogic's class path" ?
in that case, it obviously wont work.
what u need is an understanding of the following topics (i have described them briefly, but for details u can always check the documentation of weblogic):
    1. Class loaders in weblogic: there are various levels of class loaders. at the top is the weblogic's class loader. below it are various EARs' class-loaders. and so on....
    2. Packaging. You must ensure that in the same class loader, there are not two classes from 2 different jars.
    hope that helps

  • How to run a script on Oracle server from isqlplus

Hi I am trying to run a script on my workstation from Oracle server through isqlplus workarea. I entered following command and get the following error. i have enabled isqlplus URL by editing web.xml file already. Can please someone help how to run the script?
    @http://myaixserver.com:5560/scripts/Databasestartupstages.sql;
SP2-0920: HTTP error 'page not found (505)' on attempt to open URL

So far, you haven't specified your rdbms version and isqlplus behaved differently on a 9iR1, 9iR2 from the one release on 10gR1/R2. on 9i it was a servlet based on a JServ servlet executor machine, meanwhile on 10g it is a J2EE compliant application deployed on an OC4J container, so configuration is different.

  • How to run a JAR file in Unix system?

    hi there
ca anyone tell me how to run a JAR file in unix system or X window, thank you

You want to create an executable JAR file? You do it in the following way.
Create a manifest file such as manif.txt and the contents should contain
    Main-Class: foo
assuming foo is the name of your main class. Then create the jar as follows
    jar cvfm foo.jar manif.txt foo.class
    I hope that helps you!

  • How to run JRE from an external USB disk

    Hi
I wanted to put up a tomcat servlet engine that could run from a USB harddisk without any previous installment on the host machine. The OS of the host machine would be windows 2000.
My first question would be; is that possible ?
I think that when i install JRE environment on some w2k machine som registry stuff is created. And my problem here would be, how to run the java without any registry updates and directly from the USB stick that i insert into the machine.
And my second would be; what should i install of java on the USB to make this work?
Grateful for any input on this, or any pointers.
    Best regards
    Abid

You would need the whole JRE on the media, and I would also assume the the full SDK/JDK as many servlet containers use the SDK's java compiler if you're doing JSPs.
You would then simply install your servlet container and your .war files. Now I believe that registry settings are not mandatory but one must ensure the PATH, JAVA_HOME, and CLASSPATH environment variables are set accordingly, thus a startup script (.bat/.cmd) would be necessary to create the OS environment, spawn the JRE and in turn invoke the servlet container.
I've never done this with tomcat, but I've done very similar things with Jetty FYI.

  • How to run JSP Report

    Hello,
I am new at Reports 9i. I created report dummy.jsp which selects some data from a table.
Could you please explain me how to run this JSP Report from internet explorer?
    Sincerely.
    givi

    Hello Givi,
For running the JSP report from a browser, you need a J2EE container like OC4J. The JSP report can be run in two ways:
    1. rwservlet
    http://<we_server_host>:<port_no>/reports/rwservlet?<reports_parameters>
    2. the JSP deployed on the J2EE container
    http://<we_server_host>:<port_no>/<context_root>/your_report.jsp?<reports_parameters>
Method 1 will actually display the paper layout of your report, while method 2 will display the web layout on the browser.
If you want to start with basic information, pl refer to the section 8.1.2 of Publishing Reports document available at
    http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/reports/content.html
