How to run xrdb on login

Hi there,
Every time I log in to my KDE 4 desktop, I have to manually run "xrdb ~/.xresources". This has become quite annoying especially since I would think I could find a solution by a quick Google search, but so far without luck.
I have tried putting it into my ~/.xprofile, which happens to run my custom .xmodmap, which works just fine.
Any ideas into what I might be doing wrong? I cannot seem to find any relevant error messages in e.g. ~/.xsession-errors.

Ps. The reason I'm interested in running the xrdb command is because it sets my emacs color scheme, so I might be able to achieve the same by changing my config in .emacs, but it's annoying me a bit that I cannot make this work.

Can you post your .xinitrc? Maybe you put the command in the wrong place.
It's extremely simple to put it mildly:
#!/bin/sh
# ~/.xinitrc
# Executed by startx (run your window manager from here)
xrdb ~/.Xresources
So I hardly think that's the problem.
Is xrdb being used for anything anymore, or is it considered obsolete? As I've mentioned, the reason it annoys me slightly that it doesn't get loaded on when my X-session starts is that I use it configure some Emacs color themes, but I'm sure I could achieve the same if I just configure that in my .emacs. It is my impression that hardly any X programs use xrdb, but I could be very well be wrong.

please explain what didn't work. using a launch daemon is a proper way to do this and Lingon is the easiest way to make one.
and I've also placed the command to run the script in the ~/.profile file, but that doesn't seem to work, either.
~/.profile is only executed when you start terminal.
Anyone have any other suggestions that I could try?

How to run a webdynpro multiple times by passing different parameters each time and save webpages with parameter name?

I am a BW consultant and new to webdynpro. Not sure how to run RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY multiple times and by passing different parameter values each time(either taken from an a standard BW table or user provided - anything is fine) and build web pages with parameter name. Need help with direction on where to start.
Let me step back and explain my requirement:
In BW we have an object called transformation.
One way of generating documentation for transformation is highlight transformation and press F1. Then its documentation will be opened as a local web page.
I need these web pages for all transformations. This is my requirment.
I came to know that RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY is beeing used to generate this web page.

WHere to start? First of all is RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY Webdynpro JAVA or webdynpro ABAP or can i use anything?
Since it is beeing opened as local webpages i assume it is webdynpro JAVa is that correct?

Please inform me wat happens after this and friend do give some information about wat kind of web-server are you using.Because calling of your servlets differs the way your configure your web-server and the default configurations differ from web-server to web-server.

Does anyone knows how to change an after login page from a default page 1 to, let's say page 200?

The URL to run your application is http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=23533.
If you use this, page 3 is the first page shown after login.
Using the URL you gave runs the Application Builder, not your application. If you use the Builder's Run Application icon to run your application, the page in your application that you are requesting is page 1 (or whatever is in the application's Home URL attribute). But running your application this way is something you do in a development environment only
Your basic question has to do with how end users would get to a particular after-login page. End users do not have access to the Application Builder.

I finally got everything installed and I'm trying to run the Reports demos off of the mid-tier web site. when I click on the jsp report demo it brings up the parameter page. I just use the defaults and click the run button. when I do that it asks me for a SSO login/password. what do I use here? I've looked over all the docs I can think of without finding anything.

Login to system with <b>SAP_ALL</b> rights.
Go to Se 38 and run the RSWF_CATID & On the selection screen select the options ABAP Classes & XML object types & execute the report.
After this step you have to perfrom the import of Exchange_Profile in XI.

How to run the Server Side Existing rule in Exchange 2010

There were requirement to create a auto forward rule for almost more than 5000 users, which we did, but the we want to apply this rules to the messages which are already in the inbox for all those users where we have created the rule.
Right now the problem what we are facing is for each individual we have to take full access to their mailbox and execute the rule first time and then it works.
this is becoming challenging for us to making this for all 5000 users. the other problem is those user are not regularly login to this mailbox, they are using some other Org mailbox, so even we can not communicate to all of them.
Q1) How to run the Server Side Command which should forcefully apply whatever rules is created for that user should execute for the messages which are already in the inbox.
Q2) or the powershell for for specific rule name, which can apply on the for all the messages which are there in the inbox.
Any help would be appriciated!

If these 5000 users are all users in your Exchange organization, a inbox rule can be created by the following commands:

Based on my test, the Inbox rule created in server side also cannot work on the message that have already been in the Inbox unless users click “Run Rules Now…” in their Outlook client. And the transport rule in Exchange server only works
during the message sending process.
Therefore, there may be no feature in Exchange server side to meet your requirement.

Iam trying to run the following jolt client code ToUpper.java at the command prompt but I am getting the following error.I am getting the same error when i run the Jrepository Applet RE.html.

This is basically a function module. You need to login to the BW server, go to the transaction code SE37. And enter the name there, and execute.

How to run certain pages under SSL in tomcat 5.5

hello..
can anyone tell me how to run certain pages of my web application under ssl for eg the login page,credit card info page etc...
I have enabled https://localhost:8080 in my tomcat creating a certificate keystore using
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_06\bin\keytool.exe
and my whole application is running under https..But due to performance measure the whole application can't run in https...So i want certain pages(sensetive) of my application to run in https and other in http..it will be so kind of you if anyone give me some idea regarding this...

You apparently have the server mis-configured. Recheck the configuration (or reinstall Tomcat per its instructions.)

On a no problem fresh installation there should be no reason to run this file. That being said, this file can be run from the command prompt/command shell ON THE SERVER using:
sqlplus "sys/password as sysdba" @$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catexp.sql
(note the space between login and @ sign.
