How to save a modified image?

Using elements nine.  I can no longer save an image that has been zoomed in.   Any ideas on how these may be saved?

Zooming isn't modifying the image, only changing your current view, so there's really nothing to save. AFAIK, there's no way to force PSE to always open at a certain zoom level.

  • How to save applet in image(gif/jpeg) format

    Hi there !
    how to save applet in image (gif/jpeg) format. i have just gone through JIMI package where serilization is there ,WHERE U CAN SORE in image format ...........can anybudy help me out.........if possible then pleeez provide me some example.
    Thanks in advan...........

    I think that is possible because i have seen some commercial applets that do that.
    -http://www.izhuk.com/painter/
    -http://www.lawrencegoetz.com/programs/signature/
    Thses two saves the image in the server since applets cant write in the host they are running. Maybe it would be possible whit JFS, i don't know.
    For now I am trying to store an image draw in the applet on my server.
    My idea now is copying the image to a buffer or something, open a connection to the server and receive the image with a perl CGI.
    There is an example with text:

    I want to do something similar but with an image.

    Thanks,
    but I am using Image.getScaledImage() to get scaled image(obviously). This returns an Image object. When I call getGraphics() on this object it throws an exception:
    Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: getGraphics() not valid for images created with createImage(producer) at sun.awt.image.ToolkitImage.getGraphics(ToolkitImage.java:292)Try using createGraphics() instead.
    In javadoc i found out that this method can be used only on off-screen image. What is off-screen image?Use BufferedImages, you'll have a lot less problems.
    Anyway I can't use this object in ImageIO.write because it requires RenderedImage object which can only be BufferedImage object.
    I tried to cast Image to BufferedImage but can't be ... If you need to get your Image painted onto a BufferedImage, you can do it like this:
    BufferedImage bi = new BufferedImage(myImageWidth, myImageHeight, BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB);
    Graphics2D  g = bi.createGraphics();
    g.drawImage(myImage, 0, 0, null);

    javax.imageio API allows you to write/create a jpeg/png/bmp/wbmp ... image format. I don't think there's support for svg. you'll have to look for some third party plugin.

  • How do I save a modified image?

    I am a total beginner and have just managed to modify an image (I think). How do I save it? One tutorial said you do not save in Photoshop you export but I cant find an export button.
    Second question is - there are lots of tutorials and videos but is there a simple logically progressive instruction manual or something for total beginners?
    Thanks
    Geoff

    File > Save as and then name it and choose a location to save it.
    Exporting is for Premiere Elements.

  • How to save transparent background images to have transparent background thumbnails with Photoshop 2014?

    In old versions of Photoshop there was a feature that made thumbnail images have a transparent background.  I'm a CC member using Photoshop 2014 on a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.4 and every thumbnail of a transparent background image I've created in Photoshop 2014 appears on my desktop with a solid white box background that has a thin black outlined box inside of it.  How do I save the transparent background images I've created in Photoshop 2014 so they will appear on my desktop as thumbnails with a transparent background?   I'd like to continue to be able to replace the default background-less folder icon that that appears on files with transparent background thumbnails to customize my files as I use to do with older versions of Photoshop.

    If your layered document has a Photoshop background layer it visibility need to be set off when saving a PNG or Gif file for Photoshop background layers do not support transparency.
    Thumbnail may be a bit more complicated than you think. I do not use Lightroom, and only occasionally use the bridge.  I believe Lightroom and Bridge  keep thumbnails they develop for image files  in their library databases and caches.  Other programs do not have acces to  these.  RAW Files and Image files have Jpeg previews stored in then.  I believe most application use these previews jpeg to create thumbnails.  Jpeg format does not support transparency.
    Icon on the desktop are not always thumbnails some are embedded icons in application modules other are icon in dll these may well have transparency. However image file on the desktop have generated thumbnails.  However you can create a shortcut for an image png file and create a icon with a transparent background for the png file and change the shortcut's icon for the png file to the transparent ico file you created for it.
    Also many Photoshop release ago an Adobe module created Thumbnails for image files in Windows File explorer and most likely system file dialog. Adobe stopped supporting that stating Microsoft changes how windows works.
    Today I use FastPictureViewer Codec Package to generate image thumbnails for image files including RAW and PSD files in File Explorer and system file dialogs.
    I don't use a Mac don't know what available for your Mac.

  • How to save the modified rows in jspx page usind adf default commit action

    Hi,
    We are displaying some columns of the database table in jspx page. Here we are using adf commit action to save these values to database which is updating all the rows by default. In this page there are some editable columns which the user can miodify. How can we update only these modified rows using default adf commit action. Also we want to update last_updated_date column of that particular row which is modified in the UI from backing bean .
    Can anyone please help us in solving this.
    Thanks in advance

    User,
    A key question - what are you using for the model layer (ADF Business Components, JPA, EJB, etc)?
    How are you determining that a "commit" action is updating rows (even those which haven't changed)?
    If you are using ADF Business Components - have a read in the documentation about history columns - the use case you describe (updating the last_udpdated_date column) is supported "out-of-the-box" for this.

  • How to save incoming email images?

    I have a Mac desktop running on Lion OS X. When someone sends me an email with photo attachment, how do I save the photo? I tried right clicking the image and in the drop down box I am prompted to either Copy image or Save Attachment. I tried Copy Image but do not see how or where to Paste it (a la Windows). Actually I wanted to save it to a Picture folder in Adobe Lightroom. Will this work?

    Save the attachment (goes to your Downloads folder) and move it where you want.

  • How to save a still image from video without Photoshop

    So- I need to save a still from some video but I do not have Photoshop. How can
    I do it. Is it possible in FCP? Any other ideas?

    In your timeline, park the playhead on the frame you want to make the still from; now double click anywhere in that video clip, and it will appear in the viewer. Then Shift/N will make the still frame for you. Now go to the file menu and choose Export/QuickTime conversion, choose Still Image, and under options, set the image type.
    I've also discovered recently that MPEG streamclip can produce very good still frames; if you have a QuickTime movie you've already made from an FCP sequence, you can very quickly drag it to an MPEG Streamclip window, move the playhead to the frame you want, and choose Export Frame from the File menu. You can then choose an image type, and a location for the image file.
    Useful if you don't have FCS open at the time.

  • How to Save A Filtered Image

    I have to crop an image from a bigger image and then to save it as a jpg. Cropping part works fine but i am stuck on the saving part.
    Here is code for cropping the image
    ImageFilter filter = new CropImageFilter(10,12,620,4 60);
    ImageProducer producer = new FilteredImageSource(image.getSource(), filter);
    resultImage = createImage(producer);
    And here is the image saving part
    FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream("c:\\myJpeg.jpg");
    JPEGImageEncoder encoder = JPEGCodec.createJPEGEncoder(fos);
    encoder.encode((BufferedImage)image);
    fos.flush();
    fos.close();
    I need a BufferedImage to use it with encoder.encode but unfortunately, BufferedImage dont like images created with Image Producer and as a result i am getting nasty exceptions, can someone tell me of any easy way to crop an image and save it as a file,
    thx in advance
    qaisar

    Here is one way convert Image to BufferedImage:
    public static BufferedImage convertToBufferedImage(Image img,
                                        int wid, int ht, int type){
          BufferedImage bi = new BufferedImage(wid, ht, type);
          Graphics2D g2d = bi.createGraphics();
          g2d.drawImage(img, 0,0,wid, ht, null);
          return bi;
    }The type parameter represents the type of the BufferedImage (such as TYPE_INT_RGB). See the Javadocs for the BufferedImage class.
    As for cropping, here are two more ways of doing that:
    1. If load the image as a BufferedImage object, use the following method of the BufferedImage class. public BufferedImage getSubimage(int x,int y,int w,int h) To load the image as a BufferedImage object, you can use the the JPEG codec (which you are using to save the image) .
    2. If you intend to use JAI, use the "crop" operator.

  • This is how to save webpages WITH images in Safari

    Select Print, click the box that says save as PDF, rest is self explanatory. Webpage will open in Acrobat when you open it later, but is that really a problem? Opening in Safari doesn't give you any more options than opening it in Acrobat.
