How to save a table style?

I can't seem to save a table style.... I create a new one with the palette, give it a name, set all the parameters, click OK -- and it's not there next time I try to use it. Can anyone figure out what I'm doing wrong? Many thanks for any help!

How to reuse a table style in Numbers 3.0

I can save a Numbers Table Style in one spreadsheet, but I've no idea how to open and use the saved style in another spreadsheet.
When I save the style it shows up in the inspector for that document, but does't appear in the inspector when I open another document.
Am I attempting something that can't be done?

You're right about not being able to add styles, and I have not figured out how to modify a predefined character style, other than to Rename or Delete a predefined style. I have added this to my list of things lost.

How to save internal table data to file on local disk from smartforms?

Hi there,
I'm trying to save internal table data into .csv file on presentation server from within smartforms using GUI_DOWNLOAD function.
This function works fine from abap program, but when I call it from smartforms it does nothing. Form prints ok and there is no file created on local dick.
Is there a way to save smartforms internal table data to local disk?

Unfortunately, Iu2019ve tried both your suggestions without success. Smartforms behaves just like in case of GUI_DOWNLOAD. There is no file saved on disk.
Do you have any other idea?

How to save multiple tables on one single save button in JDeveloper.

i have two tables on a JSF page.
the parent and child tables has 1 to many relationship.
its like for department id i have many employee_id's.
in my scenario ,
i have to give values to both parent and child tables at a time on one single click on add button. and after clicking on one single save button i should be able to commit the data into database for both the tables at a time.
its similar like a hire a person in fusion applications , when you clinked on hire person. all the related tables populated to give data and on one single save committing data to database.
please help in this. and its my urgent requirement for my application design.
am beginner to the J Developer Tool and ADF.

I assume you are using ADF BC as your business components. Now if both your Master and Chail VO are instances of the same AM, the commit operation of the AM will take care of it. You just have to drag and drop the commit operation as a Save button in your page

and comes back to SAP. The internal table that I have saved in SAP MEMORY / ABAP MEMORY is getting washed off..
I m building the table in the INIT method of the BADI ( qisr1) .
Can any body suggest a way for saving the DATA when control is back from JSP.
is it posible thr saving in som class private data ??

SAP and ABAP Memory belong to a user session, in a new session you wont have access to the ABAP/SAP Memory of another session. Seems like you are using a stateless JSP.

Saved table style

I saved a table style in a worksheet I was working on as I would need to use the style frequently in the future. Unfortunately, the style is not showing up in the Tables pan when I create a new file. I wonder why, or do I need to use Save as Template instead?

Cant save a text style in elements 10

Can someone please explain to me how to save a text style that I created so that I can reuse it later. It took me forever to figure out how to make one and now that I finally got it like I want it, I cant make it show up in the styles menu. I would really hate to loose all that hard work. I've tried everything and cant figure it out... Please help..

What do you mean by a "text style"?
You can get a layer style from any image by opening the image, selecting the layer with the style on it and choosing Layer>Copy Styles, and then you can paste the style into another image using the same menu.

How can I export table and cell styles to use in another InDesign document?

I've been looking…and looking but can't find out how to export table styles within InDesign CC. If there is a load table styles option within the panel, it stands to reason there should be an export. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Frank, John's solution is it. But that also requires that you have those old files easily on hand to access. Maybe even searching for them in the future, 3 months down the road, could be a pain. You can always save a Library for that file and drag some of those styled elements into that library. Save the library in a place that you will keep access to and readily pull assets from. In the future doc open that library and drag the styled element into your new document and the styles are now in the new doc to reuse. I have a library saved just for tables.

1) There is a table style (for the whole table)
And there are PARAGRAPH-styles for the text-attributes of the text in the table-cells (bold, italic, size, font etc.). I would call this a paragraph-style. This can be seen here:
But this style cannot be edited or changed because it does not show up in the dropdown of the parapgrah-styles - as can be seen here:
You DO NOT FIND the paragraph-style ("Absatzstil" in German) "Tabellenstil 1" in the dropdown.

How do you have the bottom stroke of a table show up using Table Styles and Cell Styles only?

I am using InDesign CS6, and I want to create a Table Style that has the bottom stroke show up, but does not have a table border, such as:
However, whenever I try to change the Table or Cell strokes so that the last stroke shows up, I get the entire table border, or some strange combination of borders:
Does anyone have any insight on how I can get the bottom stroke to show up while preserving my other stroke properties? Since I work with long documents, it's necessary to be able to control all of my tables through Table Styles and Cell Styles, and not by manually changing each and every table with the Stroke palette.
For reference, here are the my current Table Style properties and the resulting table:

Michael Murphy is the InDesign style-meister. He wrote "Adobe InDesign Styles" for Adobe Press, and did a great Lynda.com title on InDesign styling. Here's what he says in the book:
"As mentioned at the beginning of this chapter, with all the power of table and cell styles, it is important to understand not only how they work and what they can do for you, but also to understand their limitations.
"Two formatting features missing in table and cell styles have already been discussed: You will always have to set the column width and row height of cells when applying a table style for the first time, and you will always have to convert body rows to header and/or footer rows every time you apply a table style for first time or update the table's data....
"But there's another kind of limitation that's important to keep in mind as you are designing tables: It is very easy to design a table that cannot be completely defined by a table style. In many cases, you'll need to define an extra cell style or two that lets you complete for formatting. [my emphasis]."
So I think that's what you have to do: Apply another cell style on top of the cells at the bottom of the table after applying the table style.

How to update table styles in the new Pages?

Anyone found out how to update table styles in the new Pages? I see it's done in some of the templates that Apple provided, but I can't find it. Also, the Copy table style command is gone, so I can't make my tables look in a uniform way, unless I use one of the built-in styles.

How to save table to file in Mobile 7.1

Hello,
We are using Mobile 7.1. We are trying to save the table context in the mobile client to the local file.
We use a FileDownload element in the screen. The FileDownload is bound to a Resource attribute which contains the table data (as well as name and type of the file).
When the user clicks on the FileDownload link, he gets an error message "Cannot open HTTP connection" with an http link that points to the file.
Do you know how can we save the table context to the client (i.e. export to excel)?
If it's impossible with FileDownload, is there a way to open a Save As dialog and write the file locally? (We don't know how to open the Save As dialog from web dynpro).

Thank you for your help. The class you gave had better results, but it's still not the solution.
What we get now is that the file opens but in an internal viewer, even though the FileDownload is set to "Allow Save".
Furthermore, the file we generate is an XML file that opens in excel, but in the internal viewer it seems like gibrish (maybe it tries to interpret it as a binary file).
How can we make it open in excel (or open the Save As dialog)?
Another question is that we used the other API for on-demand file download (instead of creating the file every time the user enters the screen we wanted it to be created only when the user clicks the link). This is possible in normal web dynpro:
