How to save folders in MDS

Question

Hi All,
I have included my own folder in ${AIA_HOME}/AIAMetaData/AIAComponents and want to save it in MDS by running ANT command for UpdateMetadata.xml but it is not saving it. It is saving only files not directories. I have mentioned the UpdateMetaDataDP.xml file here. Please let me know how can I resolve this issue.
Following are the steps I followed:
1> I moved all the folders in ${AIA_HOME}/AIAMetaData/AIAComponents which I wanted to be there by FTP.
2> I updated the locations in UpdateMetaData.xml file (Please see the content below).
3>Ran ANT command for UpdateMetaData.xml file.
4>Result was Build Successful.
5> If you see the file below, in forst UpdateMetaData tag, I want to save all the subdirectories and files under Manufacturing but it is not doing so.
Same is the case in other tags.
Kiindly suggest the steps as it is hampering our development work.

Hi,
Instead of ending you file paths with *.* end them with /**. This is according to the AIA developer guide, see steps below and also very the "fp" wlserver attribute for the UpdateMetaData element.
Browse to the folder at $AIA_HOME/aia_instances/$INSTANCE_NAME/bin.
Source the file aiaenv.sh by executing the following command:
source aiaenv.sh
Browse to the folder at $AIA_HOME/aia_instances/$INSTANCE_NAME/config and open the deployment plan file, UpdateMetaDataDP.xml.
Update the file UpdateMetaDataDP.xml by inserting include tags for each resource group that you want to add to the MDS:
To upload all the files under "AIAMetaData", add the following:
<include name ="**"/>
To upload the files copied to "AIAComponents/ApplicationObjectLibrary/SEBL/schemas" folder, add the following:
<include name ="AIAComponents/ApplicationObjectLibrary/SEBL/schemas/**"/>
Note:
In the include tag, the folder path must be relative to the folder AIAMetaData.
Browse to AIA_HOME/Infrastructure/Install/config. Execute the script UpdateMetaData.xml by typing the command:
ant -f UpdateMetaData.xml
