How to select a web container in Identiy Manager IDE 8.1 (8.1.0.20080630).

Hello.
I'm testing Identity Manager IDE 8.1.0.20080630.
How to select a web container ?
If registered one Server in NetBeans and select it, however such GlassFish v3 and others is resterd, I could not choose which one.
Anybody solved this issue?

How to select a field containing only alphabet.

Can't seem to find any finctions to do this in CR XI.
e.g Reference ID
ABCXYS - Select this record
173839S - Don't select
UDHHW12 - Don't select
173746 - Don't select

There might be an easier way but I just cant think of it right now. Here is a way to get you started.
Create a formula with:
numbervar i;numbervar a := 0;//for i := 1 to length({table.refid}) do(if not({table.refid}[i] in chrw(65) to chrw(122)) then a := a + 1;);//if a = 0 then 'true' else 'false';
Place this formula in the report header and suppress it. Then in your record selection criteria place this line:
{@yourformula} = 'true'
This should fetch only those records that either have a space or all alphabets for the refID.

How to call a web service that is managed by web services manager from omni

Ok gurus... here is an interesting one for you.
We have a set of web services that are deployed to our server. We have Oracle Web Services Manager deployed to another server and is acting as a gateway to our web services.
We would like to call our web service and pass it the username and password that were specified in the omniportlet connection information screen. How do we go about doing this?
PS. We are using the latest version of portal (10.1.4).

Just a follow up. What I would like to do is to have omni portlet add standard header information for security such as the following:

The output you see when running to web from Reports Builder is controlled by the web source of your report. Please take a look at your web source and confirm whether that the reports JSP tags are indeed present to fetch the data and format the web output.
Also, note that if you want to deploy your report using its web layout, you would need to save it as a JSP, as only JSPs can be deployed directly over the web.
RDF files can be run over the web only using rwservlet, and doing so will cause the output to be formatted using the report's paper layout instead of it's web layout.

You did not indicate the Web Server version that you are using for web container. Assuming its Sun Java System Web Server 6.1, per Servlet 2.3 specification, you should be able to use of session creation and destruction events. This can be done using HttpSessionListener to count active sessions. Here's the docs for reference:

How to Configure Apache Web Server with Tomcat web container in Linux

I am working on Tomcat web server 5.0.19 on Linux AS 3.0., ( my Control Server)
I need map my tomcat to Apache Web Server (httpd) in another system

I dont have jk2_ or jk_mod .so files to use in my tomcat/conf directory to make them available for httpd.conf files of Apache Web server.

The simple answer is to download a web server that has a web container already integrated on it, so all that painful configuration work is avoided.
You can use the mature SJS Web Server 6.1 SP5 at

The easiest way is to define your selection screen in the TOP include of your module pool.
Then call the selection screen.

How to run a report out of the web container?

Hi All,

Does anyone have tips on running a report outside of the web container? I'd like to be able to JUnit the scenarios I'm coding up without having an app server running. What is the ReportClientDocument expecting in the request, response, and context? The code as shown just returns the enclosed error.

All I'm really trying to do is have the report execute and be able to assert that the data is appropriately retrieved from the data source. If there's a way to do that without the Viewer, that would be cool, too.

Any tips would be much appreciated. Sorry about the poorly formatted code and error... the code tags don't seem to be working...

There's no documentation as to what's the minimum HTTPServletContext, HTTPServletRequest and HTTPServletResponse the CrystalReportViewer expects.
There certainly are plenty of unit testing frameworks for Java Web Apps out there, if that's where you're headed.

Steps to follow to create WAD in WEB Template in 3.5 or 7.0 u2026u2026..
Go to All programs and select your web application designer
Select the button to create a new page in WAD
Select the chart and place in the layout
Next goto Data provider Target and select your query
Give your report name in the given data provider screen
Select your query in History/find/Favourites/Infoareas button
Select your query in this screen and click OPEN
Now we can see the data provider is assigned to the chart.
To edit the chart you have to right click on the chart
After right click on it we will find another screen where we can edit all the settings
In this screen we can find NEXT click button to change our settings
In this screen we can state the tasks (Title, units, values, range)
In this screen we can change our background /validity/color
In this screen we can add values to the chart
In this screen we can add validity/positions/order/axis types to the chart
In this screen we can change the global settings/and overview of the chart.
This screen shows that we have customized the chart successfully
After successful creation of the chart we have to save the chart
Save your chart in your favorites by giving the description and technical name in the given block.
Now execute your WAD by selecting the execute button

How to transport a web template?

Can anyone please explain to me how to transport a web template which contains many web items (include 10 queries)?
After I collected this web template, I got error message when I execute it in Q.

That's what I did. I transported two web templates before (contain 1 query only) and they all worked. But just not this new one. Here is the error message:

of course you cannot supply the WSDL URL. Inside the WSDL (just view it in your browser) you find (usually but not necessary) towards the end something like
<soap:address location="http://www.weather.gov/forecasts/xml/SOAP_server/ndfdXMLserver.php"/>
which is the actual adress of the service.
An example service can be found here:

Displaying an ALV list in a popup is by no means different from a list displayed on a main screen. The only thing you need to consider is that you set the right screen level when creating the parent container for the ALV.
