How to select range of values (select-options) in BDC?

Dear experts,
I need to write a BDC program for the T-code CN72 where i need to handle a range of intervals (select-options) for the WBS element field in the initial screen.I have done the recording. what is the logic in BDC to handle the range of intervals ?

Suppose your select-option field name is N_PSPNR .then send the values as N_PSPNR-LOW = 'ABC'
N_PSPNR-HIGH = '678' . In recording u will find the screen field name and what value is passed.

Hi ,
I have to do some changes on existing dynpro transaction. I have add pop up with two input fields (FROM and TO)
After pressing ok button data should be selected d from internal table for all values between FROM and TO ( from the screen) .
As this is a dynpro application iI cannot use select-options statement.
In the internal table where from data should be selected it can be several entries for the value entered on screen, I need all of them . So if user enterson   FROM = 'B' TO = ' D'   (from the table i_tab )

I did try and it works in two cases when FROM and TO fields are filled in, and when o,ly FROM is filed in.
When FROM is empty and TO field is filled in the range is populated but no data is selected in folowing loop.
Please advice

How to display multiple prompt values selected, in the report

Hi,
I have a LOV : SELECT DISTINCT CO.V_MOVEMENT.ORIGIN_BRANCH_CODE FROM CO.V_MOVEMENT ORDER BY 1
and a parameter associated with it which is multiple selection enabled. The parameter name is P_BRANCH.
When I am displaying P_BRANCH at the top of my report (RTF), it's showing only one value whereas I need to display all the selected value as Comma Separated.
Please help.

The other option to fetch all the selected values to the report (RTF) is to create a dataset for the field and in the template create a repeating group for each value.
Eg:
1) The SQL is : ( In SQL Server, where :P_S_ORIGIN_BRANCH_CODE is Prompt )
SELECT DISTINCT
:P_S_ORIGIN_BRANCH_CODE as P_BRANCH
2) XML is :
<DATA_DS>
<G_1>
<P_BRANCH>RTM</P_BRANCH>
</G_1>
<G_1>
<P_BRANCH>ABC</P_BRANCH>
</G_1>
</DATA_DS>
3) In report we can display the values as below:
RTM,
ABC
But The Required Output in RTF is : (Values seperated by ",")
RTM, ABC

How to display the current value selected in DDLB of another screen

hi Experts
I need some info regarding the dropdownlist in BSP.
I have two screens . One screen contains the table view which contains a set of records.Each record has two columns.
Second screen contains 2 drop down list.
When i select one record and then press the submit button in the first screen .Then i want that the selected value of the selected record will display in the DDLB of the second screen. And then i can again select the value from the drop down list.
For example:
1st screen:
record 1.
col 1     col 2
record 2
col 1     col 2
2nd screen
ddlb1...........
ddlb2...........
So when i select the record1, then the current value of col1 and col2 should visible on the ddlbs of second screen first time. Then i choose other value from the ddlbs.....
My Question is how to do the following
"when i select the record1, then the current value of col1 and col2 should visible on the ddlbs of second screen".
please provide some suggestions...

So once you select col1 and col2 in your case its value is in page attribute say hold, this attributes needs to be defined in page2.htm also with auto checked. You can get the val selected in page1.htm

How to disable "Enter Parameter Values" for optional paramters?

I'm having issues getting the Crystal Reports .NET Viewer to suppress the "Enter Parameter Values" dialog for optional parameters. I have templates created using Crystal Reports 2008 and am linking against the CR for VS 2010 runtime.
Within the report template the optional paramter has "Optional Prompt" set to "True". This particular parameter also allows multiple values and is used in record selection. Within the record selection it is using HasValue().
It seems the parameter is set up properly as I have other parameters that are set within the code that are not prompted for. If I pass in the optional parameter through the code the "Enter Paramater Values" dialog also does not appear and the report is generated correctly. All of the parameters are set using ParameterFields and they are set before the ReportSource is set.
Looking through the .NET API documentation it seems like the CrystalReportViewer should have an "EnableParameterPrompt" property that would do what I want however it doesn't seem to be a valid parameter as I get compile errors when I try to use it... Not sure if it matters or not but I am using managed C++ and our application is built using Visual Studio 2005. Could that maybe have something to do with it?

OK, I'm going to answer my own question as with a little more digging I was able to find out that I needed to set some stuff on the report document to specify that there are no values. Still not sure why "EnableParameterPrompt" is not valid for me though as it seems like that would work as well. At any rate here is what I needed to do:
ReportDocument->ParameterFields[<Optional Parameter Name>]->CurrentValues->Clear();
ReportDocument->ParameterFields[<Optional Parameter Name>]->CurrentValues->IsNoValue = true;

You can handle that in mapping level.like

Add Selection Ranges to KE30

Hello -
I was wondering if anyone knew how to add the selection ranges (single values, ranges, exclude single value, exclude range) to a KE30 report.
Through the use of variables, I can add single values and ranges, but I would like the full functionality seen in other reports to be able to exclude a value, etc.

Select option variables in CO-PA-IS are defined in the following way:
you can enter only single values or intervals and you are not allowed to use any excluding functionality and greater than or less
than functionality. This decision was made by the application CO-PA-IS because of performance reasons.
The functionality you are looking for is not available this way in CO-PA drilldown reports. The 'NOT EQUAL' selection is also not
available in higher releases.

Amr is right, however, if your requirement is that the user is to select no more than two at any time, you might try this approach:
Use the prompt but the operator is "=" (equal) versus "in" and use two prompts connected with an "or". If the user only wants to select one item, then they can be told to use the same value for the first prompt and second prompt (choose "lion" first, and choose "lion" second) -- because they are connected with an "or" there is no ill effect other than an inefficient "where" clause generated.
If you are required to provide more flexibility than just two items, then you are stuck in being able to limit selections when a list is presented and you're using "in" as the operator.

In your backing bean you will need to add a new variable to bind your control to, I think this variable needs to be of teh "HtmlSelectManyCheckbox" type. The on your jsp page you can add binding="#{myBean.myVariable}".
When you want to get the values of the selectMany in your backing bean, you can call the getSelectedValues() function on your HtmlSelectManyCheckbox variable.

Data fetch for range of value inside an assistance class

I want to create an assistance class where I can fetch data for the range of values selected ( basically when I select a range of sales order ).
I was only only successfully in creating parameters, passing single values.

How do I select a range of values in MySQL using a drop down menu

Hi,
I have a database of picture frames that have a value of
frame width. I want to be able to select a range of values (i.e.
.50" to 1") instead of each and every value (i.e. .50", .56", .76",
etc.). I have a drop down menu (mnuWidth) with 5 ranges (see
attached code).
Each selection has a value from 1 to 5 indicating the range I
want to search. In my results page I have let DW set up a recordset
(see attached code)
Can anyone tell me how to get this to choose a range instead
of just the value entered by my menu?

I have been growing fond of lookup tables. Your lookup table would have your numbers in one column and the values you want returned in the next.

Caution: Lookup will return the closest value so it it looks for "10" in this example it will return "i"
If you don't want to see the error messages from blank inputs, wrap Lookup in IFERROR.

for ex: selection screen the Account Group KNA1-KTOKD as a select option. The defeault value should be Y001 and Y005.

Since Select options are nothing but ranges, you can use the following code to add two distinct values to the select options by default.
s_ktokd-sign = 'I'.
s_ktokd-option = 'EQ'.
s_ktokd-low = 'Y001'.
append s_ktokd.
s_ktokd-low = 'Y005'.
append s_ktokd.
clear s_ktokd.
However, if you want to mention a range like all the values between these given two values to be considered then u may use,
select-options : s_ktokd for KNA1-KTOKD default 'Y001' to 'Y005'.
or
s_ktokd-sign = 'I'.
s_ktokd-option = 'BT'.
s_ktokd-low = 'Y001'.
s_ktokd-high = 'Y005'.
append s_ktokd.

Can anybode tell me how do we define the range in the selection screen?

Hi,
Create a variable for the Fiscal Year field in tcode GS11. While creating the variable for the field, use the option "Value Entry Only".
Thereafter refer the variable in the "General Data Selection" for the field with the options "Set" and "Variable" both ticked for the fiscal year. Also enter the variable name created above in the field in General Data Selection.
This will allow you to enter the fiscal year as range while executing the report.

How can I re-display my selected option?

In my jsp, I gain option values for a list of 'types' and 'names'
If the currentType = null I do not show the form that accepts the 'names'.
When a type is selected the Action class calls the getMethod in the ActionForm
and upon success returns to the jsp page and presents the 'name' form.
Unfortunately the 'type' form redisplays the first type in the list and not the
currentType.
Question. How can I set the selected option in my form to display the currentType?
