How to send/receive digital pulses through parallel port?

Hi, im working on a project to send/receive digital pulses through parallel connection. I need to control the frequency of the pulse sent as my device communicates through negative triggering of the digital pulse. How to use LabVIEW send and capture these waveforms?

Led glow through parallel port.

Hi,
My status port of parallel port goes to default when no action is performed i have put that in a while loop.. how to solve that in Labview. I need to access status port S3,s4,s6,s7,s5 and the out put is connected to the data port of parallel port. when i press s3, the LED of data port glow's for a while and then when i release the s3 button it goes to default value,which i don't want it to happen.
I basically want to glow a led through parallel port and it should remain on even if i try to glow another led through parallel port. the staus port of parallel port will give input to the pc and data port receives the output(data port has 7 leds).
Can anyone help me out with this.

How to send E-Mail Notification executing through workflow?

I want to send E-Mail Notification executing through workflow in MDM Data Manager?
I have tried it, But still i am unable to send E-Mail Notification?
i will explain, how i have tried?
1) I have created the simple workflow with the following components
they are in sequence
start--> process-> notify--->stop
2) owner of the workflow is Admin and launcher of the workflow is Admin and i have given email id to the Default Admin user in the console.
3) i have created another user (i.e. User2) with default roles as like as Admin and i have assigned User2 to the process component in workflow and I have created e-mail address for the User2 in the console.
4) i have created another user(i.e.User1) with default roles as like as Admin. and give e-mail address,under the notify component User1 is selected in To Field.
5) stop component as usual
coming to configuration part about the SMPT server in MDS.ini file
1) in mds.ini file for the MailServer=, I have given SMTP Server name once and restarted the server and executed the workflow, but not worked
2)in mds.ini file for the MailServer=, i have given SMTP Server IP Address and checked the port,and we have configured the host file also and restarted the server and executed the worflow , but not worked
In all the ways i have executed and tried to send E-Mail Notifications through workflow, But I didn't
can any one help where i have went wrong, so i can rectify it
what actually we have to give in mds.ini file? is any other cofiguration required for it?

Hi Bharat,
your steps seems to be correct. Just try to ping your mail server, to verify if your mail server is running up, besides note that mdm go throw port 25 for sending emails, so please check if you are able to send emails using port 25 in your network.

How to send zip file as attachment through email

Hi All,
I am having a requirement that I need to download the internal table data into .txt file and I need to zip the text file. And this zip files needs to send to the customer through email.
I am able download the data into .txt and able to zip the file. But I am not able send the .zip file through email.
I know that we can send .xls, .txt, .csv and also .ppt, .doc file types we can send as an attachement through abap program. But I don't know about .zip files. Is there any possibilty to send .zip file as an attachment thorugh email.
Can any one help me how to send a .zip file thorugh email as an attachment.

First of all, we still don't know what you want to do with this relay. Using a computer to generate is series of pulses is not usually the best way. What is the frequency of the pulses that you want to transmit? And why do you want to use a relay? What are you driving? Can the relay that you are using fast enough to follow the pulse train that you'll be sending?
Provide information, ask questions politely and people will help you.

How can i write a vi in using parallel port for digital inputs

Dear all,
i am a beginner user of LabVIEW and i want to write a vi in using parallel port for digital I/O. After reading the article "Using the Parallel Port in LabVIEW
" and download the parallel.zip, i know how to write the vi for output, but i still don't know how to write the input one.i've try to use a Inport.vi to test, but nothing change when i set pin2-9 to high. (my computer:win2K & LabVIEW 6.1)
Can anybody teach me how to write it?

Are you using VISA or the accessHW VIs? You may need to goto the bios and set the parallel port to run in spp mode or standard mode. This is the simpliest configuration and where you should start.
As far as writing the VI goes, just copy the diagram out of the tutorial you mentioned.

We do not have any DAQ cards within the PC. We have the parallel port which is EPP and ECP compatible having the address 278h on LPT2 and we are trying use this port for reading 8bit data from an external circuit. We developed a vi program in Labview 5.0 to control the parallel port.We tried with the Data lines to send signals from PC to external device through this parallel port with the addr
ess 278h (which
is Data lines) and it works fine. We also tried using reading 4bit data from external
device to PC through this port with the address 279h (which is Status lines) and it
is also working fine.
But it was not possible for us to read through Control lines whose address is 27Ah. Whereas when line printer (dot matrix printer) was
connected, it was possible for us to take print out. Thus printer was working. This
informed us that the control lines are all OK!
Can you please clarify, how to use both control lines and status lines to read 8 bit data through this parallel port using the Labview software.

I have to send file with original name as attachment through Mail Adapter. I am picking the file from FTP server through File Adapter. I am not using message mapping because files do not have any standard format.

I have exactly the same scenario : pik up a file (file adapter) and send it in attachment by mail adapter without mapping (no IR)...
I activated Adapter specific paramters properties in the File adapter sender and i can see the FileName tag in DynamicConfiguration section of SoapHeader in SXMB_MONI...
I want to use MessageTransformationBean... BUT, how can i 'access' to FileName tag ???...

How to send an external mail(PDF) through SCOT

Dear All,
                 We have a requirement to mail customer invoice converting the smartform into a PDF. All the neccesary configuration that needs to be done in NACE and SPRO transactions has been done.Now when we issue the output through an output type through transaction VF03, output is successfully issued.In SP02 also it shows the printing is successfully completed.
                 But when i want to want to check the display log aginst the
output type and billing doc issued it says dat the processing log dosnt exist.We have configured the SCOT transaction for sending external email but it doesnt send the mail and even doesnt show any request in waiting and as well as no errors so we are not being able to identify whether the configuration done is wrng which doesnt seem to be the case or is dere a problem with SCOT configuration.
                 Could any1 pls help me with the entire flow of configuring SCOT if possible with screenshots for sending external email . or if possible wat is the possible problem we are facing...

2. Maintain the Mail IDs for all vendors in Vendor Master(check the ADR6 table)
3. Do the settings for sendiing mails in SCOT and SOST tcodes with the help of Basis person

How to send a text file attachment through mail in ECC 6.0

Hi Friends,
As per the requirement, I need to send a ALV report result as text file attachment to user in ECC 6.0 . I know how to do in 4.6C version. But the same code is not working here in ECC 6.0.
Generally to get the data in new row in the text file we use below code in 4.6c.
data: c_value type x value ' 0D '.
concatenate c_value itab-line into itab-line.
By using above code, we get each row of the itab in a new line in text file.
Same code is not working in ECC6.0 as it is not supporting to concatenate bytes with characters. Getting the error like " field c_value should be diclared as type C or I or N or T or P"
Even I have used function module NLS_STRING_CONVERT_TO_SYS to convert hexa to char. It is converting the value' 0D' to ' # '. But it is not working.
Could you please suggest me that how can get each row of itab as a new line in text file in ECC 6.0.

How to send a table to AdobeForm through webservice?

My present requirement is to design an Adobe form with a button, when I click the button it need to display the purchase order details(a table).
My doubt is Can we send an entire table to Adobe Form through a webservice?
If we can send the table then do we need to write any JavaScript?

Let me explain you the issue clearly..
I have a button and a table in my layout, when I click on the button then my table should display material details. I have binded the table with the webservice.
My issue is, table is created with a single row while designing and will be displayed with one row when the form is downloaded to local system. the table should grow w.r.t the data coming through the webservice but as its memory allocation will be for only one row, so the table dynamically cannot display all the records. It will only display a single record.
Here I need to display all records coming from the webservice. I hope you understood the issue now.
