Test with :
DESFORMAT = RTF, DESNAME = C:\x.rtf
or
DESFORMAT = HTMLCSS, DESNAME = C:\x.html
does it work ?
Check if DESNAME is modified in the reports itself.

in my program : Line size of the report is 255 in PDF it is splitting into 2 lines. it has to show in a single line. how to do it. how to reduce the width of the output? i am sending my code below. anybody can suggest me how to do it. if possible please send me the code.

i will give input in my selection screen and i will execute my report then it has to display data in PDF file in some directory (like c or d directory). i refered existingthreads . most of then saying using spool req we can download pdf file i.e. not my requirement. my requirement is when i click on execute button it has to display the data in pdf file with headings.

How to send the mail with multiple file attachments ?
Sending mails with multiple files as attachments.
You need to start from the app, assuming that it has an email function, that contains the files that you want to send as attachments. The Photos app allows you to send up to 5 photos on the same email, but if you want to send multiple file types then you need an app that supports all those file types. I use the GoodReader app which supports quite a few document/file types (e.g. PDF, Excel, Word, pictures), and from that I can select multiple files (including different types) and attach them to the same email.

If you are using a Workflow, in the send mail step type, simply write the e-mail link and press enter.
when the user sees the same in the outlook, he will get them as a link but this does not happens when the mail is seen in the SAp INBOX.
if you are using the FM, give the document type as 'HTM', to send mail.
This will work for you.

How to retrive the archived (in PDF) smartform as a email attachment.
Hi ,
I have a requirement where the smartform is archived in PDF mode and I have to retrieve the archived smartfrom and send the mail with PDf attachment.
I referred the sdn forum for the same and I could some posts posted earlier and quite a few are solved. I implemented the sample code provided by some of the posts and I still get the same error when I try to open the mail/attachment in SOST transaction. But I didnt understand what exactly they did to get away with the error when we try to open the attachment.
Please help me with the correct code to get this issue solved.

The Error says:
"Adobe reader could not open 'InvoiceDetails_20110228094610.709_X.pdf' because it is either not a supported file or because the file has been damaged(for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decorded).
Below is the sample code that I got from one of the forum postings. I implemented the same and got the same error that the earlier posting was referring. From that step, I didnt know what to do further.

you can create a Report that accepts the search parameters from the Forms mask and generates a PDF. You also have the option to send the report via mail.
Personally I would generate the report with a tool like as_pdf

Then you can send the mail using utl_mail or utl_smtp.

Filling up a pdf form which I received as email. I opened it on my adobe reader 11 and filled up the highlighted fields. Yet when I click on the send via mail it says changes will not be included. How do I send the form with changes?
The add annotations field shows as not allowed in the security options. So how do I send this form back with the changes??I think you you need to click 'save' first, then it is saved to acrobat, where it will prompt to send.
