How to set a column in JTable non-editable?

I have a JTable, and how can I set a particular column non-editable?

You could create a sub class of DefaultTableModel, you pass the column number to the constructor or you add a method like setColumnEditable(0, false); to set column 0 non-editable.
You overwrite the method isCellEditable so it will return false when the column number that is passed to the method is 0 (if you want to have column 0 non-editable).

I have created a table which contains 2 rows and 2 columns. My requirement is that 2nd column should be non editable and non focusable. Making any cell non editable is very easy but how should i avoid focus on particular cell.i.e., suppose focus is on first cell and now if u press right arrow button on the keyboard 2nd cell should not get highlighted and focus should remain on first cell.

I need to know How to set the column order of a sealed column in a custom Content Type for the new item form NewDocSet.aspx?
I think this is a "sealed column", whatever that is, which is shown in SPD 2013 as a column of content type "document, folder, MyCustomContentType".
I know when I set the column order in my custom Content Type settings page, it is correct.
But, when I load the NewDocSet.aspx page, the column order that I set in the settings page is NOT used for this "sealed column" which is bad.
Can you help?

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to set the column order of a sealed column in a custom Content Type for the new item form NewDocSet.aspx.
Per my knowledge, if you have Content Type management enabled for the list or library (if you see a list of content type with the option to add more), the display order of columns is set for each content type.
Drill down into one of them and you'll see the option under the list of columns for that content type.
To apply the column order in the NewDocSet.aspx page, you need to:
Select Site Settings, under Site Collection Administration, click Content type publishing. In the Refresh All Published
Content Types section, choose Refresh all published content types on next
update.
Run two timer jobs(Content Type Hub, Content Type Subscriber) in central admin(Central Administration--> Monitoring--> Review timer jobs).

I have created an elementary search help for a custom field with a value table behind it.
The search help functions correctly, but when displayed the column widths are all 10 characters. The user has to adjust the column to view the descriptive text.
Can anyone tell me how to set default column widths for the help?

I tried using TYPE S DISPLAY LIKE E and am setting vim_abort_saving as X and sy-subrc as 4. However, this is also not enabling the fields. In this case, the first 2 fields - key fields are getting enabled but not the required ones. The above snapshot is for the same.

The statement column is not supported in SQL Developer.
See Help > SQL Developer Concepts and Usage > Using the SQL Worksheet > SQL*Plus Statements Supported and Not Supported in SQL Worksheet.
But you can use substr in the select statement to set the column width.
For example:
select substr(object_name,1,40) "Object", object_name
from user_objects
Run the statement as a script and see the difference between both columns.

If you want to make some rows editable and some as read-only, then the best thing to do is use an iterator. It is basically a class that implements interface IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATOR and allows you to change properties of each cell of your table. You can do the following:
1. Create an iterator class that implements this interface.
2. Code method RENDER_CELL_START( ) to set all elements of a given row as read-only or editable as required.
3. Leave other two methods empty but do activate them.
4. Declare a public reference in your view implementation class of same type as this iterator class.
5. Pass this iterator class to 'iterator' attribute of your <chtmlb:configTable> in view htm.
In the iterator class, you also need to access your table node to decide which rows to make editable and which row to make readonly. To do this, you can declare an attribute in this class of type CL_BSP_WD_CONTEXT_NODE_TV and instantiate it from the CONSTRUCTOR. And you can instantiate this iterator class from DO_VIEW_INIT_ON_ACTIVATION( ) of your view controller.
