this question might seem silly, but I'm not able to find how to set the brace style in jdev903. Since I use the brace on same line it's quite it's quite annoying reediting the auto generated code.

How to set default style

Hello all.
I don't like the way iWork default set's some of the settings as far as page layout and certain aspects. Now I know what settings I want to change, is there a way I can change them and make that the new style so that whenever I start a new document it uses those?
I change my settings, "Rewrite" or something on the "body" style but it doesn't change it when i make a new document.
Any help is appreciated

Pages has excellent bullet styles.
In an open Pages doc click on the 'view' icon in your toolbar and select 'show styles drawer. At the very bottom right of the styles drawer there is a button to show list styles. Click on it and you will see some options. (Bullet, harvard, legal, etc.) Select some text and click on a style (like harvard or bullets) and that outline style will be applied to the text you create.
List styles have different bullets depending on the style. The commands to increase or decrease the level of the indent (and the bullet used) are:
Decrease list indent level Command-[
Increase list indent level Command-]
When you press these (in most styles) the bullets will change.
Bullet styles can also be customized but it is a pain the neck. You customize them in the Inspector and you need to specify which bullet style is used for which level and amount of indent.

Tip: You can also use one of the preformatted list styles in the Styles drawer to create a bulleted list with the click of your mouse.
To format a bulleted list using the Text Inspector:

Choose a bullet style for your list:

Or, select the "Scale with text" checkbox and type a percentage of the text size; this maintains the image-to-text size ratio of the bullets even if you later change the font size of text.
To adjust the space between bullets and the left margin, type a new value in the Bullet Indent field. To adjust the space between bullets and text, type a new value in the Text Indent field.

In the properties window from a CWGraph you can set the style (bar, line, multicolor). How can you do this programmaticly?

I can't find the style property in my object inspector(Delphi). With style, I want to set the graphic type. For example: simple, bar or multicolor. In the help from the CWGraph object I can not find anything about it. I have solved the problem now by exporting the desired graph and then import it if I create a new object Dynamicly. Does anyone have an answer?

You set the style for each individual CWPlot, not the graph itself. Each plot can have its own style, the graph style sheet is just there for quick changes of common plot styles. You would change the LineStyle, PointStyle, Colors, etc of each plot to do this programmatically. For example, to pick a bar style for a plot you would:

CWGraph1.Plots(1).FillToBase = True
CWGraph1.Plots(1).PointStyle = cwPointNone
This would create a plot that steps and is filled to base with no points shown (bars). If you want to see how the graph styles change the plots, pick a graph style in the property pages, then look at the plot page and see how the plot properties changed.

My question is that how do I set the style of the <f:facet> such that it's borderless.
I tried inlineStyle for <af:panelBox>, it turns out that the <f:facet> is wrapping it and I have to set the border style for <f:facet>.
I tried to find one in this url for skin selecors: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/htdocs/partners/addins/exchange/jsf/doc/skin-selectors.html, but I couldn't see one likely.
Could someone give me a hand please?

I only see one mention of a table header though, so maybe this is the problem.
Have you looked at the html that is output (with Firebug) perhaps and seen what sort of style classes are associated with your table component? in 11g it seems that there are more human-readable style classes that you can guess at by looking at the html source.

it's also possible to take the code from ebitar and use the expression within styleClass instead of inlineStyle.
E.g. you can define a custom style "StyleClassEmptyText" in your skin and set this styleclass if af:inputtext is empty.
By using style classes you can have the same style in the whole application and you are able to change this style on a single point(in the styleclass) for the whole application.

AFAIK, this is not the correct way to set the image location.
We call the working directory as context, so inside the context root along with WEB-INF, maintain a folder with name img and put all the images in that directory.
You can use either .\<image_folder> or the optimum way would be (if you are using JSPs) to use getContext() method and traverse accordingly.
FYI,,, using getContext() will give you context root directory, from there it is as simple as accessing any other folder.

I work with a lot of nested numbered lists and in microsoft Word I can link a style to an outline level. I cant figure out how to do it in pages. I would love to dump Word if I could but without that feature, im afraid its a deal breaker ( and a serious oversight to boot.) Any ideas how I can accomplish this?
To be clear I want to create a style. When I set text to that style it should inherit the number in the list as well as the indent level in the list. In microsoft word, one defines a custom numbering and links the level to the style.
I have 30 days more of trial. I would like to go to pages but this would be a deal breaker if it cant be done.

Actually, that doesnt answer the question. I know how to create a list and I know how to set tiered numbers. What is missing is the ability to highlight text, set it to a specific style and automatically have it be included into a number sequence. This is used in business requirments documents among other places. So if I have a document with the following:
1. Some Topic
1.1. Some other sub topic
This is text to describe a topic.
In this example ,the "Some Topic" line is of style "Heading 1" and the "Some Other Topic" line is of heading two. Now if I create another line and set it to heading 2, it should automatically add the numbering of "1.2." to the line and put the text in italic.
Sheesh is there anyone on this forum that has used Word before? This is not exactly an oddball thing to do. This is so common in requirements documents or any sort of numbered document.
I suppose since I cant get an answer my original notion that it cant be done is true and I should just give up on pages til it can be more mature.
