How to set camera to black and white??? help!!!

i used to be able to take b&w photos with my curve 3g but since sync'd with my computer there does't seem to be the b&w function anymore - please help!

First, just to double check:
1. click menu
2. click camera
3. click menu
4. click options
5. under color effect you should have a drop down menu to choose normal, black & white, sepia.
If you don't have this option, try removing the battery while the phone is ON. Then repeat steps above. I lost my ability to zoom and that fixed the problem also. Hope it works for you!

At this time there is not an option or a default to set black and white only from the front panel of the printer. Some applications may give you settings in the Application itself for color or black and white but that would be the only place to change the color of the document/photo for your print jobs.

Please clarify your "Elements 12". Is that as in Photoshop Elements 12 (photo editor) or Premiere Elements 12 (video editor). And, on what computer operating system is the program running?

How do I get a black and white photo in Photoshop Elements 11?

I have a very old version of Photoshop, release 6 I believe. In that release, I am able to use enhance/brightness and contrast, and when I slide the contrast to 100%, I get a pure black and white image of my photo. I Photoshop 11, which I just purchased today, I am unable to get a pure black and white image, only grayscale. I cut pictures out of wood, and it's fundamentally necessary that I can contrast pictures into pure black and white. How do I do that in Photoshop 11? The first screenshot is what I need in Photoshop 11, the second screen shot is the limitation I'm seeing in Photoshop 11. How do I get a black and white photo??

There was a change made a few versions ago where Brightness and Contrast were improved so that they did not clip values so quickly. This was intended to improve how Brightness and Contrast worked for photographs, but it makes it work less well for purposes such as channel manipulations or printmaking.
In Photoshop there is a Legacy check box in Brightness/Contrast to make it work the "old" way when that is desired. It looks like that check box isn't in Photoshop Elements, which is what you're actually using. I'm not sure if there is a way to get the Legacy behavior in Elements, so you'll want to ask over in the Photoshop Elements forum.

One way is to use Select>Color Range
Make a new Color Fill Layer>White
(Layer>New Fill Layer>Solid Color)
Put a new color fill layer below>black
Just invert the layer mask on the top fill layer for the opposite effect.

The phone does not do that on its own. You actually need an app for that. Try resetting the phone: press and hold the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the slider if you see it. The phone will power down and up again.

C6150 - how to make it a black and white only printer

I have the C6150 all-in-one printer - it keeps running out of color cartridges even though I rarely use color printing. I want it to ignore the status of color cartridges even if they are empty. I set my printing option to say "black cartridge only" but it still doesn't allow printing and given an error message that "Replace the following empty ink cartridges to resume printing" - why does it need color cartridges to print in black when I am explicitly specifying it to use "Black cartridge only" in my print option? First, as print dialog box functions vary with the Mac OS version, we need to know what version of the Mac OS you have. "iOS 5.0.1" in your profile is not a computer OS but rather for iDevices. Do "About this Mac" from the Apple menu to see what version you really have. It should be 10.something

What operating system/device are you printing from? If it's a windows setup, there sould be a b/w settting within the print options menu similar to the option below.
